From my initial contact with Halo Renewables, Matt has responded quickly to questions,and giving advice to what product would be suitable for my property. We agreed to a price and booked it in. Scaffolders came and set up, being aware of a new patio and protecting my property.

Today, the team from Halo attend my property and absolutely smashed it out the park. Nothing was too much trouble, quality workmanship and polite and friendly throughout. I kept them happy with donuts, coffees and biscuits 😆
I was even lucky enough to have the Anker Director attend site which made the experience even better, spending time to explain the product in detail, super passionate too

Recently had 17 solar panels and an all in one battery system installed. The service was excellent from the start, Matt clearly explained all the options and provided a detailed quote.

On installation day, the team was very professional. Tomasz and the crew worked in 30-degree heat, completing the roof installation neatly and efficiently. They finished by early afternoon. Bradley completed the electrical work the following day, and everything was done to a high standard.

Throughout the process, Matt was just a message away whenever I had questions. I’m pleased with the outcome. Highly recommend

Halo Renewables were first class from the start. Matthew was very helpful and answered all my question promptly. His installation team turned up on time, were extremely professional and the work was carried out to a very high standard. I even decided to add a Powerwall 3 Expansion pack a few weeks later Halo had it installed within a few days of me giving the go ahead. Would recommend them to anyone.

Halo installed16 panels and a Sigen 24KW battery stack and 6kW inverter. The whole experience from start to finish was very good. The Roof team installing the panels were very professional and worked quickly on a very hot day, completing the installation by lunchtime. The electrician was very neat and tidy. As it was a very sunny day when the system was commissioned, I was very happy to see that we were importing 0 from the grid. The Sigen Battery stack looks very good in the garage, dare I say "sexy". You'll know what I mean if your a geek like me. The installation also included an EV charger. Cant recommend Halo to highly.

I carried out extensive research on solar companies before choosing Halo (I have a background in procurement so i am naturally suspicious) and my decision was based on value, reviews, experience during exploration phase together with good, old-fashioned gut feel.

Matt was happy to answer my extensive questions with no pressure to commit. There were no high pressured calls like I have experienced with other solar companies. After I had signed the contract another solar company I had contacted phoned me to see if I had made a decision and when I said I had decided to go with Halo, they said it was a good decision, and that was from a competitor. That says it all!

The installation was painless, there was a small logistical issue with scaffolding but it was dealt with swiftly by Halo. The app was explained to me and the site was left clean with tidy wiring.

I can't find a negative!

It is so difficult to navigate through the smoke and mirrors of the solar industry but I'm so happy I decided on Halo.

Long wait for the install but it was worth it!

Efficient installation, competitively priced, great technology from Ecoflow too. Just got our feed in tariff switched on a few weeks after install, now we should be paid for any surplus.

Win win, if you have the money or can get it, it's a no brainer to invest with Matt and start getting free energy and paid for anything you export. Very knowledgeable and helpful guy.

Couldn't be more prevelant now that prices for electricity are high.

Had my Solar install this week and I am already over the moon with it, seeing the money being saved after day1. The whole process was well orchestrated and executed to perfection.
The Tesla Power Wall was already over performing on day2.
The engineers we're friendly and very knowledgeable.
Would definitely recommend Halo to anyone and would advise people not to go with a sub par setup.

Halo recently installed our 12 panel system with battery storage, best quote we had out of 5 other companies, some coming in at nearly double what we paid.

Quick and efficient service throughout, clean and polite. All necessary paperwork was given straight away for export. We haven’t paid anything on our last 2 bills and we have even earned money! Definitely worth the investment.

We decided to go with Halo renewables as they were competitively priced and Matt who we had out to give us a quote was friendly and helpful no hard sales pitch we felt very comfortable with his approach we had our car charger fitted first which matt done at short notice as they had a opening available due to me about to pick up my first Ev and a few weeks later the team arrived on time both workmen were very polite very hardworking & professional and tidy the solar panels looked great and the tesla powerwall looked smart and after 5 months we haven’t had any problems all together we are very happy with halo renewables and would recommend anyone thinking of getting renewables to give them a call

Absolute legends, after being let down time and time again by “I’m not allowed to say who it was” I reached out to Matt, I told him what was going on and he helped me through a pretty stressful time where I thought I had lost a lot of money towards this project in terms of deposit.

Anyway to cut a very long story short, Matt pulled every string to make sure I got the product and the install we wanted, Infact to better that he went a step further. With in 24 hours scaffold was up (I think I was very lucky having a g99 already in place)
Another 24 hours passed and we now have 30 panels, 16kw battery storage and a really neat and tidy install, from labourers, scaffolders to the electrician all were top lads and very polite! The system was up and running by 3pm and scaffolding was back down

Matt I cannot thank you enough and to anyone else reading this review thinking of buying into solar it is a big purchase no doubt about it, but give your money to someone like Matt who shows respect, offers an incredible service and is there to support you.. everything was done to the book and this is how all companies should operate within the UK

This is how customer service should be! Halo Renewables have exceeded my expectations so I have no hesitation whatsoever in giving a 5 Star review. I had a total of 10 quotes in from various solar companies to get a good base to choose from. Halo Renewables were the only company who listened to my needs and put a package together to suit my requirement as opposed to the other companies who had already decided what they wanted to sell before they'd stepped through the door. Halo Renewables listened, and responded accordingly. Right from the initial meeting with Liz I was impressed but then the rest of the team followed suit. Matt answered all of my questions in simple terms without over complicating his explanations and then the installation team did an amazingly efficient job to a very high standard. 16 panels and 10Kw of battery storage expertly supplied and fitted. 100% recommended. Thank you to the Halo Renewables team for a faultless service.

13-year-old house, they advised me an 8kW+ system 19 panels, EcoFlow 30 kW batteries, a heat pump and the whole system works great and I don't pay for heating and I also sell electricity to the grid to Octopus, so for now everything is on + Recommend

Had 16 panels and 15kw battery installed by Halo. Brilliant service. Very professional from start to finish. Initially spoke on the phone to go through my requirements and explained the certificates needed for seeking excess power back to the grid, which not all installers have, but halo does. On install day everything went smoothly. All the installers were very professional and polite. They cleaned up everything when they were finished. Once everything was installed and switched on they ran me through how the app to monitor the system works. Would highly recommend and would use again for any future work.

I was looking at Solar in Feb 2025, was struggling to get anyone to quote, presumably because they're all so busy at that time of year with enquiries. I wanted to use a local firm if possible.

Matthew at Halo called me within hours of being given my details and he recommended not using micro-inverters but 2 strings into a string inverter because we have an east/west roof but crucially no trees anywhere around to shade. Other quoters pushed really hard for mico-inverters but Matthew said you'll get better value putting the same money into more battery storage. He was a lot less pushy than other installers and listened when I said I don't want to give Tesla my money (a few other quoters really pushed Tesla hard).

He provided a good quote with more panels than others and a decent amount of storage for the price. At this point I hesitated because I checked Trustpilot reviews and I noticed that all of the bad reviews complained about exactly the same thing - terrible post-install service. I did note that none of the bad reviews were recent on the other hand. I just asked him about it over Email and he called and explained yes post-covid they'd had issues and lacked capacity so service wasn't great at the time but he was confident everything had really improved and he conveyed that he did want happy customers. He offered to put me in touch with a recent customer and he did; I spoke to someone and saw their install and he gave them a glowing review having used Matthew in his previous property and then just had an install done at his new house.

The final two reasons I decided to go with Halo was that they were offering a 3-5 week lead time vs other installers who said 10+, and Matthew offered 460w panels instead of the 455w quoted as they were just becoming available.

Install was confirmed quickly and started 4 weeks after agreeing the quote; this turned out to be a little optimistic for their supply chain...

On day one of the install they arrived without panels because they said they hadn't been delivered. They also came without a wall mount for the battery (I didn't have a hard ground surface just grass right up to the house) as it was out of stock with their supplier, so had to install the batteries standing on a scaffolding plank as a temporary solution. I was promised they would fit the wall mount as soon as it arrived.

Bradley got the batteries up and running however they had to book in to come back the next day hopefully after having panels delivered. Mid-morning on the second day they did come back with 16 panels but they were 445w instead of 460w panels promised. They blamed this on their supplier.

Things go wrong, It happens, from a customer's point of view what matters is how these things get resolved. I spoke to Matthew direct and having discussed with his installer on site they calculated they could actually fit six more panels than originally designed in the space. Matthew gave me a free 445w panel to make up for the wattage difference from the quote and we agreed a decent price for the other five so I actually managed to get a higher kwp system than designed. I didn't want to wait for 460w panels to arrive with scaffolding around the house and the sun getting longer every day so went with it. Happy with that result!

I paid the final balance to get the MCS certificate so I could start exporting to the grid asap; I would normally have waited for the install to be totally finished and the wall mount sorted to ensure they did come back and do it.

I got a text from Matthew after a few weeks to say the wall mount had been delivered to them, but it actually took quite a while and a lot of chasing to finally get the wall mount installed a touch shy of three months after the original install. Simple job, only took about 45 minutes.

Overall I'm really happy, good sales experience, excellent system recommended (Ecoflow Powerocean), no issues running it, neat install, decent installers, after-sales service has been friendly and helpful when I contacted them. I know going back to swap out a floor for a wall mount isn't the highest priority when they have a long list of installs to get on with (good for them I guess) but I did feel a touch forgotten about after they had my money. Having said that, I'd happily recommend them and would use them again except I don't plan on moving having just sunk all that money into a PV system :D

Good communication and advice prior to booking from Matthew, competitive quote, excellent installation, on time and quick, and all workmen were friendly and helpful.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, the only thing not organised was sunshine on the install day!

We have just had Halo Renewables install 12 solar panels, 15 Kw of battery storage and an EV car charger.

I must say this company is excellent, my wife and I are extremely happy with the whole process from start to finish.

Very highly recommended. Had a 14 panel system split across flat and pitched roof installed, with 9Kv batteries. Very professional throughout survey and installation, ran all cables tidily and discretely where requested. System working very well, one brief issue since installation was quickly responded to and resolved by them. Expect to use them again for subsequent battery storage capacity upgrade.

After being conned by another company, was very wary, but they did a great job, nothing was too much trouble for the fitters. Now just waiting for the certificates. Have already recommended to a neighbour
