From start to finish Matt and his team have communicated at every step, the installation team were punctual, professional and very easy to get on with and fitted the system expertly and efficiently. I would not hesitate to recommend Halo Renewables on every aspect including the price I’m one very happy customer who is usually very hard to please !

From day 1 I felt comfortable dealing with Matt and his team, having had a number of previous quotes where it seemed I was being pushed to sign up, Matt was basically the complete opposite, took all the details, gave a high level design and a detailed quote within a couple of days of talking. Next step was the surveyor coming round and making sure everything worked as planned and yet again a pleasure to deal with. After that came the wait whilst paperwork was being processed to allow the selkling back of the electric to the grid, but whilst that was going on Matt called and said they had a spare day could they do the rood panels, so scaffolding went up on a wednesday, on the thursday the panels went and and the scaffolding came down, was very impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of all the team. Then we had the battery fitted and all connected, yet again another polite, professional and friendly person. All together the whole process has been managed by Matt and his team brilliantly. I would highly recommend Halo to anyone getting solar panels.

We used Halo as one of three quotes sought for our solar solution. It became apparent quickly they have the experience, people and supplies to get the job done.

From initial call, to survey, decision, deposit to installation was inside of 2.5 months.

The logistics and work itself was done very quickly, with zero impact on our home life. Everyone involved in the process was absolutely spot on.

The installation has performed flawlessly since the switch on, and I know should I need it, support would be on hand as well.

Highly recommend Halo Renewables. We had fast response to quotes, good communication from the quote to installation, and after when we needed to connect to my energy company. Quick in and out for installation of panels, clean and tidy and we couldn't be happier. After obtaining at least 20 quotes they were the most cost effective.

Had my solar fitted and received an excellent service from start to finish. They explained everything thoroughly, workmanship was excellent, all the engineers were friendly and efficient. I experienced a problem the day after installation and they immediately came round and rectified the issue. I can’t recommend this company highly enough. The system has been working excellently with no problems.

Big thanks to Mathew and the team at Halo Renewables. Four weeks post-commissioning and I’m delighted with their install and the performance of our system - a 23 panel (2 strings) array and, from Sigenstor, 2 x 8 kWh batteries, a 10kW Energy Controller and EV Charger.
All stages of the process went very smoothly, from my initial enquiry thru online quote, on-site survey and installation, thru to handover. Mathew was always very prompt to respond to my questions and their use of electronic docs and signatures really kept things moving along.
Nine weeks after first contact the install was completed by a team of 3, all worked as quietly and tidily as you could hope for.
The modularity and neatness of the SigenStor is a real leap forward from the ‘multiple-boxes-on-the-wall’ solar-only system we had in our previous house, and even the 18 month old GivEnergy setup of a mate of mine, also satisfactorily installed by Halo. Now looking forward to seeing how it works out for us over the winter months.

I want to make it clear that this review is not about the technicians who installed my solar panel system, but about the overall way this company operates. They are great at communicating during the sales process, but once the installation is complete, they become completely unreachable. You can’t get through to them because you always end up on voicemail, and they don’t respond to emails.
I had an issue with my system and waited a month and a half for a promised electrician visit, which I only got after countless follow-ups. For context, their office is just 31 miles from my home, and they claimed to be a local company that’s “always there to help.” On the scheduled day, no one showed up. I waited all day, and they didn’t even call or send a simple message. Worse, I’ve been trying to contact them for a week now with no response—phones go unanswered, and emails are ignored. Matthew Stevens and Elizabeth Milligan, who were so active during the sale, have completely disappeared. Good luck with your business, guys.

Halo Renewables delivered outstanding service throughout the entire process. The installation team was fast and efficient when setting up the solar panels and battery system. The electrician then flawlessly connected all components, allowing us to start using the system quickly.

We had 15 panels installed, a Sigenergy 8kw inverter with 36KW of battery storage, a back up gateway and an AC EV charger.

Their professionalism and careful attention ensured the process was easy and stress-free. I strongly recommend Halo Renewables to anyone interested in investing in solar power.

From quoting to completion, Halo have been very good. The quote was the best I got. The guidance and information seemed honest, open, and was genuinely useful. After quoting, they were interested but not pushy about getting the sale.
The install team and the electrician were friendly, professional, polite, and did a tidy job. Excellent all round. I, so far, found them to be very helpful after the install too.
The scaffolders are not as bad as others I've come across.

The team worked at lightening speed - 6 or 7 roofers had all the panels up in less than a day, which was unbelievable. The next day, 2 electricians wired and commissioned the whole system by early evening.

Big shout-out to Matthew Stevens, my installer, for a brilliant job overall. Special thanks to the roofers (sorry I can’t remember all your names), Ashton for patiently answering my many questions, and Bradley the electrician for accommodating all our last-minute requests. The installation looks super neat, and I couldn’t be happier.

If I could give 6 stars, I would!

I had, as have most people dealing with Halo, a pleasant and profesional experience and really thought they would be there for me should there be a problem. However, five years down the line there was a problem with the inverter and contacted Matt at Halo whose only advice was to Contact 'SolarEdge', the manufacturer. That was fun! To be fair solaredge did agree the hardware had failed but it took all of July and most of August to get a replacement. I informed Halo that it had arrived and asked if they could arrange fitting as they had implied earlier and they said they had no engineers available until late October at the earliest! Thanks Halo. Four sunny months lost with no solar output.
I contacted Chelsfield Solar who actually fitted the replacement on the 28th. of August.
The twist in the tail, when Chelsfield unpacked the replacement it was the wrong model, i.e. it didn't have the car charger inbuilt but with a bit of rewiring and agreement with Solar Edge they fitted the replacement and I now await the correct replacement. Chelsfield are not charging me until the new replacement has arrived and is fitted.

Well bless my boots, a reply within 4 hours!

Prior to the install I had all my questions answered with clarity and patience, even my stupid ones. On the day the job was finished, neat and tidy and working well. Only a few days in now, but just getting used to simple to operate the system can be for the user. All final certification and documents was provided the following morning, allowing the energy supplier to move on with changing tariffs.

A smooth professional job. Highly recommended.

I was originally going with another company but Halo Renewables offered to match the price for a more capable Sigen system. The battery / inverter ideally needed to be outside and so I needed a battery with internal heaters (batteries without heaters will de-rate in cold weather and stop working when the internal temperature is around zero, so not great for a heat pump in the winter!)
Halo renewables appeared on time, did a neat job and cleaned up when finished. In addition all the MCS certificates, DNO approvals and hand over documentation were sent the next working day. Good company and can recommend.

Just had my solar and batteries fitted by Halo Renewables. Sygengery system 28 full black panels front and rear aspect with composite bird proofing. 10kw inverter and x2 8kw batteries. Installed very quick and excellent job done. Went live this afternoon and generated a good battery amount before the rain kicked in. Price was really good. A definite recommendation to my friends and those based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire region. Huge thank you To Matt, Bradley and Luke and to the scaffolding guys at Halo for great service. Left place clean and tidy and the compact batteries and inverter were neatly installed into my garage with trench dug for the cabling. Loving the glo on the inverter… pink today, may change it to green tomorrow 😂

I can’t recommend Halo Renewables highly enough! From the very first contact, owner Matthew gave clear, honest, and expert advice. His knowledge is outstanding, and every question I had was answered with precision and confidence, which gave me complete peace of mind about my investment.

The installation of my Sigenergy system with 3 x 8kWh batteries (24kWh) and 28 solar panels was carried out swiftly and to the highest standard. The team was polite, professional, and left everything spotless. They even took the time to walk me through the system in detail, making sure I understood exactly how it works.

After completion, I received all the necessary paperwork and certificates straight away, along with clear guidance on how to export and sell excess electricity back to the grid.

I had 17x 450W panels, a 10kw SigEnergy inverter & 2 x 8kw Sigenstor batteries installed yesterday 26 August 2025 at my house in Quorn Leicestershire by Matt & the team at Halo Renewables.

I first contacted Matt in early June after receiving other quotes from various suppliers.

The quote from Matt was much cheaper than the competitors too which made the decision easier. I checked the reviews on here and that gave me great confidence in their Company.

I had narrowed down my search to a Sigenergy system as I felt this was the best system available currently.

Another supplier suggested I buy a Gateway backup system but Matt advised me to save my money and not to bother as we don't have power cuts very often. great advice.

The lead time to install the system was a little longer than I had hoped for (I missed 5 weeks of free sunshine !) but it was booked in for late August once the G99 application to the DNO was issued which only took 3/4 days.

On the installation day the roof team arrived first and once the scaffolders had finished they installed the solar panels quickly & efficiently. We discussed the layout of the panels as the roof was a slightly odd shape and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Brad the electrician arrived and very efficiently installed the batteries and inverter and all the other electrics needed in the garage and in the roof voids. It is an extremely neat and unobtrusive installation.

The system was commissioned & worked immediately. Brad showed me how to use the SigEnergy app and to change the various settings.

I would recommend Halo Renewables to anyone looking for a solar system installation - the whole process from the initial contact from Matt to the installation yesterday was seamless with no issues at all.
