GoEast Mandarin Recensioni

My daughter, Irene, recently had the most incredible language experience in China with GoEast, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the program. From start to finish, the care and dedication shown by the teachers, were truly exceptional.

They went above and beyond, acting like extraordinary "adoptive parents" during her stay. This level of nurturing allowed us, as parents, to fully relax, knowing that our children were being looked after with the utmost care – even better than they are with us - and immerse themselves in the cultural experience!

If you're considering a language program for your child, we wholeheartedly recommend the GoEast School. They provide a safe, enriching, and deeply impactful experience.

Thank you, GoEast, and thank you, Maria!

Dear Professors and Organizer,
I would like to express my sincerest gratitude for the exceptional study trip to Shanghai that my son participated in, who was only 14 years old when he left! Your dedication and attention to detail made this experience unique and unforgettable for all of us!
My son had one of the most beautiful experiences of his life, made possible by your impeccable organization and professionalism, but above all by the passion, care, and empathy that each of you conveyed through the daily updates, messages, and photos shared with us parents. This transformed our anxiety about the distance into joy and serenity. It was incredible to follow his adventures from afar and to feel so calm and reassured, even though he was on the other side of the world, witnessing and feeling his joy, enthusiasm, and tranquility!
The program offered not only language study every day but also a cultural immersion filled with trips, visits, and incredible and fun experiences! My son improved his Mandarin Chinese, but more importantly, he discovered the culture, history, and daily life in Shanghai in a curious and always exciting way—never boring or heavy! He made new friendships that helped him develop a sense of independence, camaraderie, and confidence that only experiences like this can provide.
Additionally, a truly special moment was his birthday, celebrated during the stay. The surprises, the party, and the gifts you organized made that day unforgettable not only for him but also for us, who were in Italy. It was a gesture that showed how much you care about your students and their well-being.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for creating such a meaningful experience and for making this trip a precious memory in my son's life!
A heartfelt thanks to the entire team, both in Genoa and Shanghai, for their dedication, professionalism, and truly sincere care—attention that one would expect only from family!
This program exceeded our expectations, and we truly recommend it to all families seeking an enriching and unforgettable summer experience... even if you are overly anxious parents like me!
With affection, esteem, and gratitude,
Barbara

My 16-year-old son recently returned from a two-week Chinese language summer school program in Shanghai, and I can confidently say it was one of the best summer experiences we’ve ever had — and we’ve done many camps over the years.

The program was organized through his school group in collaboration with the Chinese Association in Genova, and from start to finish, everything was handled with the highest level of professionalism. The organization was flawless — from travel arrangements and accommodation to the structure of daily activities and language classes.

What truly stood out was the exceptional care and attention provided to the students. There was 24-hour supervision, and we always felt that our son was in safe and caring hands. Communication with parents was outstanding — we received regular updates, photos, and messages, which really made us feel involved despite being miles away.

The program itself was a perfect blend of intensive language learning and cultural immersion. My son not only improved his Mandarin but also came back with a deeper appreciation for Chinese culture, history, and everyday life in Shanghai. He made new international friends, explored the city, and gained a sense of independence and confidence that only this kind of experience can offer.

A huge thank you to the entire team — both in Genova and Shanghai — for their dedication, professionalism, and heartfelt care. This program exceeded all our expectations, and we would highly recommend it to any family considering a meaningful and enriching summer experience.

My HSK6 book had been collecting dust because I wasn't motivated to start reviewing it myself. So I finally decided to make the investment and book some classes with GoEast - and I'm glad I did!

I hadn't taken a Chinese class in 6 years so I was nervous, by my teacher was very nice and patient as I got back into the swing of things. The 1-1 class means I can't hide behind other students and have to speak more, so my speaking skills have definitely improved in a short amount of tim! I definitely have a long, long way to go to get back to my former level but I really enjoy the structure of GoEast and feel it's what I need to build a strong foundation of Chinese learning again. Outside of class, I'll also motivated to self-study because I know my teacher will ask my so many questions about my day, my opinion on various topics, etc. so I have to be prepared haha!

GoEast has such a friendly, supportive and motivating culture. I studied from HSK1 to the start of HSK4. The group classes were great, very supportive and great actual practice that mimics the real word. There is quite a lot of work to do before and after the classes, but I guess that explains the quick progress I made. I went of a few trips which were well organised, fun, inclusive and a great cultural experience. I have honestly made friends for life from this school. I literally could not recommend enough. Big shout out to Lynn, Maria, Vinny, Hilda <3

I began taking online classes with GoEast during the pandemic, and from the very start, the experience has been exceptional. The instructors are not only highly qualified but also incredibly patient and supportive—qualities that stood out even more during such challenging times. The lessons are well-structured, interactive, and thoughtfully tailored to individual learning needs, which made my own progress both steady and enjoyable. The flexibility of their program is another major strength worth highlighting.
Now, I’m especially grateful to the GoEast team for their continued support as they help my son prepare for an important exam. Their dedication and adaptability have been truly impressive—they quickly understood his needs and created a clear, focused plan to help him succeed.
It’s rare to find a language school that blends academic rigor with such a warm, personalized approach. You can contact both teachers and staff at any time and they respond quickly and always with a solution. I wholeheartedly recommend GoEast to anyone looking to develop strong Chinese language skills in a flexible and supportive environment—for themselves or their children.

A month in China learning Mandarin. I had slowly been learning Mandarin for a few years in the UK but was looking for an opportunity for more concentrated classroom learning in a more immersive environment. GoEast had been recommended to me and I was soon in contact with a Language Consultant and was warmly welcomed by video call. I explained that I wanted to take the GoEast HSK4 equivalent course with 1:1 lessons for 4 hours a day, 4 days a week for 4 weeks. This is so I had more time at weekends to go travelling too. Despite my very specific requirements GoEast would be able to fully accommodate this by assigning me two teachers on alternating days which was great. A learning schedule proposal was sent to me and I chose to take a trial lesson. I really enjoyed the trial lesson and found it was pitched right at my level so signed up for the rest of the classes.

Before I arrived there was guidance offered with arranging visa and accommodation. I already had these sorted and had been to China before so didn't need too much help but knew it was there with a quick response. I also took a few online classes in the UK to familiarise with the GoEast course. This worked really well, there was good flexibility in arranging the time and it was with one of the teachers who was going to teach me in Shanghai.

When I arrived (Xuhui Campus) I had a friendly welcome. I like open plan but cosy office/waiting area at the campus as it has a more inclusive feel and gives an opportunity to chat. Lunchtime was between my classes so I was also always welcome to come and eat my lunch with the staff too which was nice. I was even treated to a milk tea when there was a group order put in :)

The classes themselves were excellent and everything I was hoping for. Both my teachers were qualified and professional and always made it fun. The GoEast HSK4 equivalent course I was following took a more practical approach than the more formal textbook style id been learning before. This helped me to make great progress with my speaking and listening and really expand vocabulary.
The online resources were also very useful to help me review and prepare and I liked that this was included in my learning package. A couple of times I had to adjust my schedule around travel plans and this was accommodated well.

Overall I liked the slightly smaller more personal feel to GoEast. This is what stood out to me when originally researching and comparing against larger companies with multi city schools and my experience definitely met this expectation. Everyone was super friendly, flexible to my schedule, I was made to feel like I belonged there and I would really like to go back. Highly Recommend!

I have completed two online group courses (a little under 1 year) and have purchased a third. I enjoy the classes, the teachers and the language consultants. Everyone is very responsive and attentive to any difficulties or scheduling issues. The teachers are friendly and I have nothing but good things to say about each of them.

The classes can be expensive compared to some other alternatives, but I think it is worth it due to the classes materials, structure, and support provided.

I would happily recommend GoEast to anyone that would ask.

Our online class teacher Lilia is very helpful and enthusiastic about teaching! The course material is very organized with attention to vocabulary, grammar, and real life examples. There are fun games to review vocabulary. The vocabulary is structured to cover the HSK word lists. I highly recommend GoEast to anyone interested in learning Mandarin!

I'm on the first quarter and so far the experience have been great. The pacing feels good with new material every week. The fact that we get to speak a lot in every class is also great practice as we get more comfortable with the language. I would greatly recommend GoEast as a go to to learn Chinese from home.

It's very fruitful tbh, slightly pricey but it is worth it . the class are well managed as well as the student portal . My teacher Teresa and Hannah were both great , very supportive. And Maria made sure to guide me along in the process. I really do enjoy it

My experience with GoEast as a first-time learner has been phenomenal. For context, I receive one-on-one lessons twice a week via Zoom. Maria has always gone above and beyond to make sure everything is going smoothly with my learning. My teacher, Hannah, is incredibly supportive and engaging, and a very talented teacher with a lot of experience teaching westerners. Overall, I would wholeheartedly recommend GoEast to anyone looking to learn Mandarin or improve their skills.

From the moment I contacted GoEast my experience has been a consistently positive one. Maria always responds super promptly and kindly to all questions. I’ve been having one-on-one classes which proved incredibly helpful to me as a first time learner of Mandarin. Annie, my instructor, is exceptional at creating an interactive and engaging learning experience and has been so generously flexible in working around schedule conflicts. I strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a smooth and effective learning experience!

GoEast is a great place to learn Chinese!
I arrived in Shanghai 2 months ago and wanted to start learning Chinese right away.
I contacted GoEast and they assigned me a support person, Yanyan, who helped me find the right course suitable for me.
Yanyan is the nicest person ever and even helped me to find a gym nearby since I was helpless, being fresh of the boat.
I started the beginners course with Teacher Bella and it's lots of fun.
GoEast also organizes events regularly to interact with other students and locals!

I was recommended GoEast from a work colleague as a way to begin to learn Chinese during my visit to Shanghai. Not only was GoEast a great place to go as someone new to China but being able to continue my lessons online has led to me having a great learning experience for almost 2 years now! The teachers and administrators are all very nice, and very flexible to their students needs. I would recommend GoEast to anyone in or out of China who is looking for a great learning experience that is personalized for you at a good price too!

GoEast is an excellent school for learning languages. They provide professional support and have skilled teachers who ensure efficient and enjoyable learning. A big thank you to Maria and Lynn for helping me make great progress in my Chinese learning journey!

I've been taking 1-on-1 Mandarin classes for a little over 6 months. I think GoEast Mandarin has a well-structured curriculum, fantastic teachers and a very friendly staff. My teacher goes above and beyond to make sure I understand the material and can confidently use it when interacting with locals in day-to-day life.

Altogether, I can definitely recommend this school to anyone interested in learning Mandarin while living in China. Thanks GoEast!

Currently a student at GoEast and my experience has been nothing but great!

Before and after arrival Yanyan really helped with all processes especially the visa process for me coming from Australia.

Along the way if there’s anything I’ve needed I know I can as the staff as everyone has been extremely helpful during my 6 months in Shanghai!

I started HSK 2 level 2 months ago at GoEast. My teacher,Wendy, taught me with all the useful expression and wrote me notes that I wasn’t sure about or got wrong. Online supplementary grammar and video lessons made me understand easier and actors on video are real teachers at GoEast! I will continue learning Chinese definitely here @GE.
