After having used recruiters in the past with some negative experiences, I honestly couldn't recommend give a grad ago enough. Not only do they have the best opportunities, but the team is incredibly supportive and attentive. I signed up for Give a Grad a Go and immediately applied for a few jobs (essential as this speeds up all processes) and was quickly contacted by three members (Barney, Helen, and Lottie) to describe various roles they thought I'd be suitable for. All three of them secured interviews for me, and once this was organised they each emailed me with really helpful interview tips with question prompts.
Prior to the initial interviews, and each interview stage thereafter, they would call me and offer advice to ensure the interviews went well, and also to check whether or not I was still interested in the roles.
Within two weeks I have secured a permanent role, with especial help from Barney Brooker!

I turned 30 last year and decided to retrain to pursue a career change into web development. I signed up to Give a Grad and met Tyler who helped onboard me. Tyler was super thoughtful & efficient and he gave me a low-down on how things worked. Within weeks Joe called me and recommended a suitable role he thought i'd be a good fit for.

I was hesitant at first about the role as the company were asking for a lot of skills but, together with Joe's expert knowledge of the client and some kind reassurance to quash my self-doubt, we went for it.

I was approached by this recruitment agency several times. The first time I was pushed to interview for a business development cold calling job. With 10+ years professional experience and account manager experience, I made this clear to the team that I do not want to go back to cold calling and that I am looking for a senior account manager / director role. The second time I heard from them I spoke with Pheobe and Christine. It looked like they had the perfect role for me, an account manager role at an AI tech firm with commission, a high basic salary and managing existing clients. I was really excited and went through with the interview however the CTO I interviewed with kept referencing back to prospecting and even mentioned that I would hand customers over to the account managers? Huh, I thought, I've been sent a job spec that I am going for the account manager role! Before I could question this, he had to leave. I spoke to Phoebe about this as I was not suspicious that I didn't actually interview for the role that was positioned and reality, I have just wasted my precious time interviewing for another cold calling job, when I had been sold a dream of an Account Manager role.
Christine called me back and double checked this when I questioned it, she mentioned that the CEO was mentioning an AM role but somewhere along the way wires were crossed and they're actually looking for an account executive role and its a 360 role with cold calling. Oh and the basic salary was poor but and no where near what was shared with me. Safe to say I was furious as it wasn't my problem that they miscommunicated. The bottom line is that they presented an account manager role with a certain pay package and had me interview for a completely different role. I fed back that this was extremely unprofessional, misleading and all they did was waste my time.

Have applied through them for several positions and have been ghosted/rejected with zero useful feedback. The first time I was contacted by a Manager who was quite keen on forwarding my application, once I did I never heard back from him, even after following up multiple times. I applied several times after that, even before they revamped their website, and never even got rejection emails. I have now decided to go back and apply for one more position with their revamped website and again a couple of weeks have passed with no response. It is discouraging to see so many non-responses, and to not even once know what you have done wrong.

I am so so impressed with the work Saira has done for me at Give A Grad A Go. From start to finish she has been encouraging, supportive, and offered plenty of useful advice regarding interview prep.
