Olivia Venn at Reed was brilliant !!!

Olivia Venn at Reed was brilliant from start to finish in helping me secure a fantastic local authority role. She kept me regularly updated throughout, took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for, and matched me with a role that suited me perfectly. Her communication, professionalism and support were excellent throughout the process. I would highly recommend Olivia Veen and Reed, and I would not hesitate to use them again for any future roles.

New chapter thanks to Chris

I have been in contact with Chris Browning for a couple of years - on and off. Recently I reached out to him again as I was not happy at my current job. Within a week or two he presented a new and exciting opportunity for me, and not long after the initial interview was set up was I offered the position. I cannot thank Chris enough for his time, service and effort. He found me the most amazing role and an awesome company and I cannot wait to start this new chapter.

Fantastic experience!

I had a fantastic experience with this employment agency, thanks to Nicola Godfrey! She was incredibly supportive throughout the process, putting me forward for a role that I was ultimately successful in securing.

Unfortunately, there has been a rise in scam messages circulating via WhatsApp, text message and other platforms, where individuals impersonate recruiters and recruitment companies, including Reed. These messages often promote fake job adverts and attempt to obtain personal information for identity theft or other online fraud, so it may be that this is what you have encountered.

I contacted Reed

I contacted Reed, staff was so rude, they said we only help people in getting jobs with prior experience. Who should tell these people, people with prior experience don't need recruitment companies, people mostly contact recruitment agencies If they are having difficulty in getting a job. Very rude staff, not recommended at all

Our consultants work with a wide range of candidates at different stages of their careers, including those looking to gain experience, return to work, or change roles. However, the types of roles we are able to support with do depend on our clients’ requirements, which can sometimes include previous experience for specific positions. Take everything the recruiters say with a pinch of salt

Earlier this week, I received an email from a woman named Lucy - an area manager working at Reed. She asked me if I would be interested in a temporary role that would be starting in a few days time (two to be exact). I replied and said yes, so she phoned me and talked through the role with me and asked that I complete the necessary admin. I had to provide my right to work, references, and then general information about myself on their online portal (including bank details). Lucy asked that I completed this ASAP so that she could carry on with the next steps. I completed everything and emailed her to confirm this - and have never heard from her since.

I have never contacted a recruiter at Reed, I even asked Lucy how she got my details and she told me I came up on a search through Reed (never consented to this). On Monday, Lucy said that I would be starting the role on Wednesday (yes, two days time). To be completely ignored is both disgusting and unacceptable. Especially after she pressured me to upload my info. I understand if the role has been already filled, or she no longer thinks I would be a suitable fit - but just communicate this.

If Lucy, an area manager, acts like this, then I dread to imagine how other recruiters are acting. I would advise all to avoid Reed, they are time wasters and poor communicators. They simply lie, waste time, and take advantage of desperate people in an already cruel job market.

As an employee, I was very satisfied with my experience. Working with Nicola was truly seamless and reassuring. She is exceptionally reliable, highly professional, and incredibly supportive — always proactive and attentive to every detail. Recruitment Experience Review

After applying for several roles online, I was contacted by Reed Recruitment. Initially, communication was clear, transparent, and constructive. After accepting an alternative role, I informed them promptly, and both parties had a clear understanding of the situation.

Upon completing that assignment, I contacted them again to confirm my availability for further work. A few days later, I was informed that their compliance team had received one or more references relating to previous temporary assignments, and that my application would not be progressed.

I sought clarification regarding any concerns that may have been raised, particularly as I have maintained a professional approach throughout my roles. However, there was limited engagement or opportunity to discuss or review the matter further.

Overall, my experience was that communication became unclear and lacked timeliness at a later stage in the process.

I had a great experience working with Ross Altan whilst he helped me find a new job. He was really supportive, always available to chat through any questions I had, and genuinely interested in helping me find a new role where I would be happy. I feel Ross focusses on getting to know people and their experience so well so he knows the job will be a great fit.

I’m so grateful for all his help and couldn’t have asked for a better recruiter. Even when Ross was unwell, he still made sure one of his team members was there to check in on me which I really appreciate.

Join Reed if you can

My adviser Mollie at the Eastbourne branch has literally been amazing!! Incredibly Helpful, Supportive and Listens to everything i say/said in our appointments. Quick response's and in generally a lovely person to assist me to find a job. Done all 6 training course's with 'Reed' and hopefully will find a job in the next few months. Highly recommend 'Reed' to any and everyone.

Awful

Awful.

A 'Business Manager' reached out to me via LinkedIn, asking me to send across my details and CV etc. Rushing me into everything, including OH. Promised me the world, including a job for £100 a day. Sent me to a school for an 'informal chat' with no information. Unsurprisingly they then told me I didn't get the role, however I was told by the agency I was starting the "next day". I felt like it has now impacted any chance I have of securing a role at said school going forwards. Was also told that they would catch up with me the next day, however, it was 3 days later. Haven't heard anything from them since. Overall awful experience that I would not wish upon anyone.

I have also sent them a complaint email. No repsonse.

Excellent customer service

I recently secured an exciting new position with the help & guidance of Connor Stainthorpe. When Connor reached out to me on the Monday, I had been looking for a new job for months, however, he managed to secure me an interview for Thursday & by Friday I was offered the job! He has such a positive, proactive & supportive approach throughout the whole process, and his absolute commitment to the work he does is very apparent. I couldn’t recommend him enough!

Working hard to get you the right role

I have just landed my second temp role from these guys who have also been looking out for a permanent position for me but, honestly, it's a great morale booster in the interim to get temp work.
