Worse travel company I have ever dealt with following a trip booked to Kenya ,as part of the travellers group chat it was mentioned a traveller was having problems obtaining a visa on line, with the balance due nothing had been mentioned by this company about obtaining a visa , I then tried to obtain a visa myself on line which I was unable to due to documents not uploading, I contacted the friendship office and was advised by Helen that I could obtain the visa on arrival,I looked on line and this was infact incorrect information that they had given me in there office,a visa needs to be obtained prior to travel ,I re called the office who said they would now help with this,I questioned why we had not been informed we needed to do this online and they said they let people know 2 weeks before travel I pointed out that considering the complications in obtaining one 2 weeks is really insufficient time for people to be informed of this , to be honest they seemed more concerned about receiving there balance to which i explained I would not be paying until I was confident I would obtain a visa. The woman Karen was actually quite frankly rude and told me with her attempt at bully boy tactics if I didn't pay the balance by the following day my holiday would be cancelled and that the visa could be dealt with at a later stage
Considering the problems occurring with
the visa and also the incorrect info they had originally advised me In the office I certainly lost all trust and confidence in this company and was certainly reluctant to pay further money without the visa assured
Subsequently I didn't pay the balance and they immediately cancelled the holiday to which I will now be seeking to claim my deposit back due to misleading and misguided information
So.people beware before using these clowns they only interested in your money ,disgraceful , book elsewhere 😒 😡

Your comments do not alter the fact I was given incorrect information regarding obtaining the visa from your office staff which was only rectified after I searched myself online to see visa requirements then emailed your office to inform them of incorrect information they were giving out

It also does not alter the fact that sending out information 2 weeks prior to departure on how to obtain a visa as per advised by Karen is not adequate time and could possibly leave people in a pretty stressful situation with problems and complications trying to obtain a visa, such as it did myself and also a fellow traveller who also experienced problems
It does not alter the fact staff are rude and were dismissive of my concerns and demanding balance money, to which yes, with all things considered, I was certainly reluctant to pay any further money without assurity of a visa,
Total loss of faith and confidence in your services

Went to Forever Hotel Olu Deniz. Turkey
Pub crawl first night at hotel.. A woman danced with one of our party and her partner was fuming so I quietly informed Jean the rep so she was aware of the worrying situation as she had a lot to drink and was dancing, She screamed 'KEEP YOUR FU*KING NOSE OUT OF IT' , 'IT'S NONE OF YOUR FU*KING BUSINESS !' right in my face - I left the bar. Returned 15 mins later to be abused again so left the group to try to find my way back. Naturally this really messed up the singles holiday .

Colum (MD) gave platitudes but did not take it seriously.

I'm sure Colum with come with a long explanation BUT when I told the hotel owner Oz , he laughed and said 'that's Jean for you' so the company have accepted this behaviour for a long time.

I booked a holiday with this company going to Casa Rosa Villa, Olhao, Portugal, going on what the website in November said and also their brochure. On checking later for my holiday in June I found certain facts to be wrong. The “half board” was only 4 evening meals plus breakfast and the 7 minute walk to the “sea front view”, was a marina view! I cancelled the holiday and was only given 40% refund of the holiday price and less flight price. The agent in an email asked if I had checked the latest recently updated website, which was much too late in my case.
In the brochure I received from this company “Winter 2022/Summer 2023”it clearly states half board. I can email a photo if anyone would like this. Also an agent from the company confirmed there is a marina view after the 7 minute walk. After making the booking in November 2022 certain facts have been changed on the website.

‘Friendship Travel, staying at H10 Lanzarote Princess Feb 2023' The customer service offered by the Friendship Travel team was Good, but Collin the Host was Excellent always willing to go the extra mile and if he could do anything for you he would without any problem, the hotel food was good and the hotel Staff were Excellent always willing to go the extra mile. The only negative thing about the Hotel was the Freezing cold outside pool; I would have expected it to have been heated in the winter months? Like many others are in the local area that I have stayed at in the past... There was an outside heated very small pool covered with like plastic pvc poly carbonate sheets but it was pack and over crowded with kids jumping on top of you as you were trying swim, so my swimming pool experience was not so good. I have booked another holiday with Friendship Travel for June 2023 so you will see me again about that one Lol

This is my 4th visit to the Forever Hotel in Turkey and had a wonderful time. It's like a second family as again greeted by Oz and Ifah, who are always very welcoming and will cater for any needs required. Jean, as always, is an excellent host. Again excellent food as always. My only comment would be that it would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the rooms.

I have booked to go back for 2 weeks in September. I love it so much there.

My First Singles Trip.

My first singles holiday was booked by my sister as a surprise.
It was to be a Gulet Cruise in Turkey.
As i haven't been away on my own ever, i was so anxious but all my fears melted away at the service provided by the ladies at Friendship Travel.
All my questions were answered promptly which put my mind at ease but what i did find was the amazing telephone call i got on the Saturday afternoon before i travelled on the Monday.
Karen wished me well, told me i need not be anxious as i would be looked after but most of all to enjoy making new friends.
Once onboard the boat, i was made to feel like part of a family by Captain Alpar, Mustapha and Irman.
Food was 5* from Breakfast through to Dinner in the evening.
They were an excellent crew and always on hand to help. I even joined in their fishing competiton one evening and caught my own fish to be cooked the following day.
At the Welcome Meeting next day, i met Jean and the Chief Executive, Colum.
It was so informative, comfortable and relaxed.
I had an amazing holiday and this wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for everyone at Friendship Travel, from the agents to the crew.
Friendships were formed and i will definately be booking with Friendship Travel in future.

This was my first overseas holiday since Covid-19, so I was a bit apprehensive. I need not have worried, as had a great time from start to finish. Holiday booked quickly & easily with the FT office. They answered a few pre-departure queries I had (including calling the hotel to check info for me), and even phoned me just before departure check to check I was all ready to go). I arrived on a night flight, but taxi was waiting to whisk me the short journey to the hotel, where I was checked in quickly & easily. And the FT host was still waiting to greet me despite lateness of the hour. Hotel: the superior room I had booked was lovely, great view and well worth the small extra price. Hotel staff fantastic and looked after us really well, and delicious food. Enjoyed all the hotel facilities, especially the pool and surrounding gardens, and the spa. Wide range of excursions on offer, all organised via our fantastic FT host Yiannis. Any time we needed some information, recommendations for things to go/places to eat, he was on hand to help.
My only complaint: 10 days was not long enough; I didn't want to go home (!) - so I'll just have to make a return trip .......

Bad service. Phoned with 2 weeks to go to say only 1 other person was travelling. Asked for refund but was refused. They gave me £100 refund off but the week still cost over £1000. Then they said 3 other people were going including the host. Told them they should not include their host as a guest lol. Went holiday. One guest arrived but had no transfer to our hotel so had to pay £45 for a taxi and got to the hotel after 1am. The other guest had a problem when checking in. I got in ok and got my taxi transfer. I was told to get a meal on my flight out as I would miss my evening meal so I did that then on arrival
the host told me that I could go for a meal but I didn't because I was not hungry. She then added that I would not get a meal on the Wed or Thurs night either but I was assured I would get 5 meals with wine so suddenly I was getting only 4 meals in a week. I had paid £1100 for this! During the week I was told that friendship travel had asked if the friend I'd met whilst there, had used anybof Friendship travel's facilities...ie drank any wine! He was in a different hotel and had paid £500 less than me for a fab hotel. Why would he want to drink their awful table wine lol. There were no excursions laid on nor any barbecues as there were too few of us. We did have a day trip to Palma which was lovely and Susann the host was lovely too. When it came to my transfer pick up to return home, it never showed up. I had to pay €45.23 out of my own pocket...I am waiting patiently on a refund!! On returning home, I saw email correspondence between the host and the company! I should not have been able to read them. One of the friendship travel staff was asking my host if I was hard work on holiday???! What a cheek! I was so disappointed in this company. I will never travel with them ever again. My friend paid half the price and got a beautiful hotel with better facilities and 7 meals included. I felt I was sold down the river.

With the cancellation of a proposed visit to Malta and Gozo in March I jumped at the chance of an escape to Leamington Spa to spend Easter with Friendship Travel. I was not disappointed.
As soon as I entered the reception area of The Woodlands Hotel, I immediately felt at home. Ev, our host came forward to greet me as a personal friend whom she invited to her home for the weekend. As more guests arrived, Ev greeted and introduced the new-comers to those already present. To my surprise, I recognised two from my November weekend in Northampton. This seems to be the philosophy of Friendship Travel, the hope of meeting someone from a previous holiday. This is why Friendship Travel is so special to those who are regular guests.
The hotel is in a beautiful woodland setting and fronted by large garden with chairs, tables and umbrellas in which we found time to relax and get to know one another in glorious weather.
The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable as are the lounges and dining areas. My only disappointment was the lack of a swimming pool.
For Saturday a visit to Hatton Park, a local place of interest had been arranged and we were escorted by Ev and travelled by minibus and taxi. On arrival we separated into small groups, depending on what we wanted to see; and so off we went ready to explore the vast site, meeting again later for the return to Woodlands.
The day ended with a delicious dinner, followed by a disco where some of us still had enough energy to dance.
An Easter Egg Hunt, following Sunday morning breakfast was held in the gardens. Sadly, one or two guests were going home early but those remaining, decided where they would like to spend their free day. I went with five others to visit the popular Public Gardens in Leamington Spar, now at their bests in springtime glory.
Meeting in the bar at seven for the pre- dinner drink on our last night together, the room was full of chatter. Some were deciding to meet again at the next FT event. How quickly we had come together as a group of friends. A lot is due to our host as she sets a warm friendly atmosphere in which we are all made to feel a part of her ‘country house party’ atmosphere.
This was a lovely Easter break and one I shall long remember with affection; my fellow guests were as good a group of people as ever I have met.
I am hoping the next holiday I book with F.T be will as successful and enjoyable as this has been.

I have recently returned from Cape Verde with Friendship Travel. I have to say they were excellent from booking through to the end of the holiday. I travelled alone from Birmingham airport & was met at the airport by a taxi driver with my name clearly written & taken directly to the hotel where I was met by the UK rep Monica. Whilst Cape Verde itself is quite underdeveloped, the hotel was fab & Monica ( such an enthusiastic & energetic lady, but not overwhelming) accompanied the group (approx 16 of us) on excursions & visits to the local town & a few local bars. Fab weather also helped make the holiday !
I’ve been travelling with FT for 6 years now as a single female & have always felt welcome & safe with this friendly company.
Looking forward to another trip with them later in the year 😎😎

After booking my first solo holiday online i navigated the message board and made contact with a fellow traveller .We met up at East midlands airport before our flight.The other person had been on several holidays with Ft and told me what to expect.
When i arrived in Lanzarote Colin our host met us and we was taken to our hotel.I was made welcome and Colin introduced us all and said we would meet at breakfast and evening meal and if we wanted any excursions he was happy to arrange.
Our group soon made friends and it was as if we knew each other well.I never once felt vulnerable.and like everyone else we was soon enjoying ourselves and participating in a bike ride,swimming in the sea or just lazing around.In the evening we went either in the hotel bar and danced to local bands or ventured out .There is plenty of shops and Costa Teguise market was a short bus ride away.Colin was a great host and never pushed us into doing anything.It was like he was a friend .I am still in contact with many of the other solo travellers and some of us has rebooked together .Ages varied from 50 to 80 something in our group but it didnt make a difference we had a great time .If youre thinking about booking dont hesitate you might miss a great holiday
I really enjoyed my experience with Friendship Travel from the beginning to the end i felt looked after

I recently stayed at Lanzarote Gardens Costa Teguise Lanzarote. It is the 2nd time I have stayed at this hotel.
It is a large hotel with a superb pool.
My room was spacious with twin beds and a separate lounge with a kitchenette. Two televisions with all the
English channels.
The food served was amazing with a huge variety on offer. A few ladies in my group visited the on site beauty salon. The hotel was very close to the beach and all local shops and restaurants.
I have taken many holidays with Friendship Travel since 2008 and I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every one, and made many long term friends over the years.
As a single lady, I find that what FT offers suits me very well, from booking, arrival and transport to and from the hotel. A very knowledgeable host ensures everyone is introduced and has all the information required for a good holiday.
Colin our lovely host, was wonderful, because i came down with covid during my stay. He brought me breakfast and dinner, and shopped for anything else I needed. He was a tower of strength when I was feeling very poorly. The staff in the FT office also kept in contact with me, arranging flight changes etc.
I would recommend FT to anyone. If you are on your own and love to travel. FT is the answer.

An excellent week at the lovely H10 Ocean Dunas in Correlejo, Fuerteventura. My 3rd visit to an H10 in this area & my 2nd visit to this particular hotel - all with Friendship Travel.

Superb location, good food, lovely rooms & very friendly & helpful staff - nothing is too much trouble.

The Friendship hosts have always been excellent - Colin who was very helpful & organised when we went into lockdown just over 2 years ago in Fuerteventura & Anita on my recent holiday - very caring, helpful & fun!

A great group each time helped of course.

I had booked to spend Easter at the Holiday Inn in Markyate. A week before there was a sudden change to Woodland Grange Hotel near Leamington Spa. This hotel was set in 16 acres of gardens and had much better facilities than expected from a Holiday Inn. The food was also a lot more varied. So a pleasant surprise.
I got there early on the Friday and and was greeted by Ev, the Friendship Travel Host. I already knew Ev from a trip to Hereford last autumn, so it was nice to be greeted like an old friend. Ev explained about the local buses that went into Leamington Spa, so after a short rest I took myself off there for the rest of the afternoon.
In the evening the whole group met up for drinks before dinner. We were about 18 - 20 people. As usual about one third men and the rest women. It turned out to be a very diverse, friendly and interesting lot of people. As a lone female, it is a very safe and friendly environment to come into.
We had three round tables for dinner with place names. We were moved to different tables every night, so had the chance to talk to everybody. The food was excellent. Chat continued in the bar afterwards.
On Saturday morning we were driven to Hatton Country World - about 10 miles away - to be collected again late afternoon. Ev helped people split into smaller groups according to abilities and interests. Some went for a 9 mile ramble, some for a shorter 3 mile walk to see the hill with 20 locks nearby, the remainder stayed behind and spent the day visiting the shopping village, market place, food & drink and generally just sat chatting, enjoying the view and absolutely glorious sunshine.
Then back to the hotel to dinner and a disco in the evening.

Easter Sunday started with an Easter egg hunt in the hotel grounds. It was a free day and many things were closed, but Ev helped with suggestions and getting people into smaller groups where we could go and explore the area in private cars. I believe she went into Leamington Spa herself with a group to enjoy the beautiful Jephson Gardens. I joined three others on a trip to Kenilworth Castle in the afternoon. and still the sun shone. We were so lucky.
One last meal in the evening and the following morning people started drifting off home again.

It had been an excellent break. My only slight concern being that the official program was a bit 'thin', so if we had not had Ev to help organise us, we could easily have spent a lot of time doing nothing much at all.

I have never been abroad with Friendship Travel, but will definitely use them again for short UK breaks.

Absolutely brilliant holiday with Friendship travel in Cape Verde!!!
Monica the rep was lovely, and nothing was too much trouble for her, including morning cups of coffee and a massage.
The group ‘gelled’ very well, and there was a great deal of fun and laughter both at meal times and in the bar.
Travelling as a lone female does have issues, but everything was fine and in place.
I’ve recommended Friendship travel to all my single female friends, and I will certainly use them again!!!

I have just returned from Belfast/Ballycastle for a 3 night break. Friendship Travel have had 2 years to get this right and despite being a company based in Northern Ireland and on 'their home turf' 4 of the tourist sites were closed/didn't happen! Terrible value for money and the city tour stated as a 'black cab tour' and included in the price was an open top bus tour which they charged us £15 for!!! Also stated in the 'where and what' section of the holiday online details (as 3 of us asked about it) was a ferry trip to Rathlin Island which the host knew nothing about and clearly never happened! A distillery visit was abandoned as it had been closed for 2 years ... and on it goes, they checked nothing in advance, didn't try to arrange any alternatives while we were there and took our money. We were induced to enter into contracts with them on which they couldn't deliver. Rather than 'jam -packed' as described in the brochure there were long periods of nothing to do. Arriving late on day 1 I had no way of contacting the host because contrary to the office rep stating the host's phone number was on the itinerary paperwork, it was not and the person at the end of the 'emergency contact number' which I phoned by mistake, (it was the only number on the itinerary and I hadn't got my glasses on), was not pleased to hear from me and offered no assistance at all. Talk about feeling safe and secure as a single traveller (!) their organisational skills were appalling. Such a shame as I had a great holiday in Turkey with them in 2020. I am so disappointed with them and now I'm not sure how I feel as I've paid a large deposit on another Turkey holiday with them before this bad experience.

I had a similar experience to Deborah Weadock's review at the Hotel Apollon in Zante almost a year later.
The hotel is marketed as House Party Hotel and I booked it as I thought it would be a good choice for my first holiday abroad as a single female traveller.
However I was verbally abused by large drunken male guest in an unprovoked act of aggression. I complained to the company who closed down my complaint. I was not advised of the company's processes in relation to such inappropriate behaviour. I spent the second week of my holiday feeling very vulnerable and alone miles from home and trying to avoid the guest and any further confrontation from him. Ironic when I had chosen this type of holiday as a single woman to feel safe and in company.

This was my first holiday at the Forever hotel in Turkey but it won’t be my last! From the moment I got into the transfer I felt taken care of, Baz greeted me at the hotel and carried my case up to my delightful room. Despite being midnight I headed to the bar for a g&t and to meet my fellow guests.

It quickly became apparent that they were taking the Covid situation seriously by carrying out temperature checks, hands had to be sanitised when entering an indoor area and the hotel was kept scrupulously clean.

At breakfast I met the friendship travel host Jean, she made me feel so welcome and came up with plenty of ideas for trips during my stay. I watched how she went above and beyond for her guests and loved that she made a point of making everyone feel at ease. There was never a point that I or anyone else felt alone, Jean was contactable by phone and came to the hotel twice a day.

I loved the food at the hotel, Breakfast was a plentiful spread of cheese, ham, bread, eggs, fresh fruit, juice, tea and coffee. Dinner was equally delicious always starting with varied meze, two choices of main and a dessert.

I made so many wonderful friends on this holiday, we all came from different walks of life. I felt that we created a strong bond as we were all single travellers and know how lonely that can be. There was always somebody to do something with, whether that was going to the market, the beach or sunbathing. We also had many a good evening out together. My favourite day was the boat trip where I went snorkelling for the first time.

I can absolutely recommend Friendship travel, I have never received such high levels of service and care. I loved my two week holiday so much that I asked if I could extend it and ended up staying for a month! I would not hesitate to travel with this company again.
