Fred Meyer Nampa ID is a rip off

Fred Meyer Nampa ID is a rip off. They spent in excess of $1million to remodel and have jacked up prices on many items by DOUBLE!! We as consumers never asked for another remodel and yet have to pay for it. Example, avocados at Freddy's $2.50 each, yet .68 cents at local Walmart. 28 years of shopping as a rewards customer and now they charge me to get cash back. Yep, they charged .75 for a $20 cash back. They have lost my business and most of my neighbors too. Walmart will be the new store if choice.

Fred Meyers has gone so far down hill…

Fred Meyers has gone so far down hill in the past 5 years. They offer products from fraudulent financial institutions like Ria and allow their employees to steal from customers. Fred Meyers needs to either be shut down or thoroughly investigated. They obviously are aware of this because I reported the employee that stole from me and Ria financials consumer reviews and complaints about the company being fraudulent are everywhere and widely known.

Indifference to the Elderly

My 83-year-old mother is a lifelong Fred Meyer shopper in Lacey, Washington. Today, she went there to shop for Thanksgiving and when she went to the check stand, her purse was missing. The purse contained her wallet, phone, car keys, and cash so she was extremely concerned that it was stolen from her cart. She went to the security officer who refused to help her. He instead sent her to the customer service desk and said there was nothing he could do to help her. He didn’t walk her to customer service. He didn’t make sure she could contact police or family for help or to report a potential crime that happened in his store. He didn’t care about her wellbeing.

When my mother went to the customer service desk, there were two staff members and no other customers. They told her that the only thing they would do was call the non-emergency police line. She could not use their phone. Then she proceeded to help the next customer who arrived after my mother. That other customer overheard the conversation and was so disgusted with Fred Meyer’s unwillingness to help an elderly woman, that she offered her own personal phone to and said that she'd stay as long as needed to help. The Fred Meyer employees sat there and did nothing. My mother called 911 with this other customer's phone and a Lacey Police officer came immediately. There was a potential crime and of course it was an emergency.

My mother has been shopping at this Fred Meyer since it opened as a loyal customer. At a time of great need, they repaid the loyalty of this 83-year-old woman with indifference. They told her she was on her own and wouldn’t even allow her to use their phone. My mother says she will never shop at Fred Meyer again. I can’t blame her. They haven’t just lost her as a customer, they’ve lost all her friends. They’ve lost my family. They’ve lost anyone that ever hears this story of cruel indifference to a loyal elderly customer. Shame on you Fred Meyer.

The pharmacy staff is rude

The pharmacy staff is rude. It takes forever to get anything filled there. I am switching pharmacies after 20 years. They never should have sold out to Kroger.... I will not even shop there anymore.

They don’t care

Shopping here, I was excited to see a sale on 3 lbs of Hill’s bacon. I used the Fred Meyer app to scan the $11.31 digital coupon. It blinked when I scanned it, but no coupon appeared on screen to clip. So I took a picture to show as evidence of the $11.31 sale price. Sure enough, the sale price we got at the register was $14.31, not 11.31. I showed the photo to the young cashier, who tried to find the coupon on my phone and could not, and then directed us to Customer Service.

After my handicapped wife and I stood in the Customer Service line for 30 minutes (only 2 customers were ahead of us, thank goodness), we were told by the middle-aged female manager that “corporate” does not allow digital coupons to be applied to meat at the Customer Service counter. I asked if other people had experienced this issue with the sale as well, and the manager said none had. My wife, quite exhausted by this time, opined that was probably because no one else wanted to wait in the Customer Service line for 30 minutes like we had.

The manager refused to honor the digital coupon. My wife then asked for a complete refund, and we left the bacon there. It seems silly that Fred Meyer corporate would accept the meat back in a refund, and not honor a digital coupon for it for some reason. Mind you, the meat had not left the store at all.

Anyway, I got the feeling that neither the employee nor the manager really cared about it either way. I assume they were just doing as they were told, and they probably privately thought it was just as idiotic a situation as we did.

Now, about that wait time at the Customer Service counter. 30 minutes to get through 2 customers is ludicrously unprofessional. And there were several customers waiting behind us, too. It appears as if not enough help is being hired at this Fred Meyer. In the past, we had chosen Fred Meyer because Safeway ALWAYS has too little help working, and their lines are very long. Now with Fred Meyer too?

In case anyone at “corporate” actually reads and cares about this event (and the ill will it has caused), the time, date and location of this event was approximately 12:45pm on October 1, 2023, at the Wellsian Way location in Richland, WA.

Where have all the checkers gone?!

After having been a long time FM customer, I have decided to no longer shop at FM. During the last several visits to the Lacey, WA store I have encountered long lines and only 1 or 2 check stands open out of 10 total. In conversations with checkers and other customers waiting in long lines, it has been relayed that FM is trying to direct people to self check-out and cutting hours of staff. Lines at check stands have been as much as 10-12 deep resulting in chaos up front and other shoppers having to dodge those waiting in line. Customers have indicated they will no longer shop at FM which is where I have ended up. It should be pointed out that the Lacey store has a large retiree population, who many of who do not want to go through self check-out. I will often use self check-out when I have a limited number of items but my cart on average is full with around $200 of groceries. The limited space at the self-checkout makes it difficult to scan and bag the many items I have. The long lines for the 1 or 2 check stands that are open pose a safety issue and border on age discrimination for the elderly that shop there. Due to the untenable situation many checkers are also calling in sick one cashier told me.
FM please get your act together and put your customers first. With customers come profits not the other way around.

People, you are writing a review for the location in Beaverton, OR. Not Seattle., there is no escalator and no elevator here.

Also, to the paranoid guy. They do not and cannot store your license information. They would lose their liquor license in the whole state.

Horrible Horrible experience as a "Lesbian" manager gaslighted my complaint!!! I literally WAS not being helped by staff when staff was helping others and ignoring my request X5 TIMES The clerk who complained to the manager did not like helping a man AND WAS VERY VOCAL ABOUT IT She did not even bother to ask what I needed? Just shouted I won't help that man!!! All I needed was a little help at self check with with one little package that would not scan properly but was refused help and in a very loud angry discriminatory way by the female worker(s) there who were yelling making a scene and working up security by amplifying and distorting the situation and painting me as a bad guy (gaslighting) Unbelievably they had security who escorted me out over the lesbo manager giving orders like a nazi & being insensitive when I did not even know who she was this weird lady in my personal space who never ID herself at all & demanding, telling me to get out!!! Then kicking me out of the store in a discriminatory manner for a fake disturbing the peace claim by her and then calling the police as a threat, who showed up & exonerated me at light speed because it was Fred Meyers Management making a scene harassing a senior citizen & US Army Veteran with 2 honorable discharges & zero criminal record or history I was treated like a dangerous criminal today When no laws were broken NONE!!! All I did was ask These narcissistic hating woman for help at self check out The hate cards don't work on me anymore or others & the gritty alphabet is broken - Toxic haters working in Freddy's wow................ :(

False and misleading advertising

False and misleading advertising, no cashiers, no customer service, made the mistake of buying meat there again, overcharged due to misleading advertising (it is always horrible compared to other stores), produce is a big no no, no cashiers!
Going there ruins my day every time I go and I
always regret it. I am sick and tired of getting overcharged and constant problems with points not getting credited! It is a major ordeal to call them when I have no service at home anymore thanks to "progress and upgrades"

Escalator out of order

Escalator out of order . A regular happening . Lack of customer care . Not to mention the elevator . Out of service gif months !!! They say needs a part from outside us . Russia ?! Ha ha. A “BS”’reason.

15 minutes in line because an instacart…

15 minutes in line because an instacart shopper had 5 different orders in front of me. Then as soon as I get to checkout the bagger leaves. So I have to bag my own groceries, which is fine when I’m not already frustrated for length of time. Will be heading back to winco, at least there I get better prices when I’m bagging my own stuff. Btw, no comment about 15 min wait from checker. He said I looked bored. I said yes. He said, “imagine working here.”

My friend had just lost her home to a fire, and we went in to replenish some things. She spent over $600. The lady who finally came to help bag was soooo rude to her. I must say she wasn't doing to well mentally due to loosing everything, but there was no need to be so impatent with her. She lost all her bags, so she bought 7 new ones, and needed one more after she had paid, and the lady said it was a nickel, so she had to gi e her a nickel. Really? She left in tears, and so did I. I just couldn't believe it. She just kept sighing thru the whole thing. On top of the fire, she has onset dementia. That's why I go with her. Needless to say, you lost two good customers. We were hoping to return to get more things, but not here. Shame on her. Terrible

Horrible return policy on electronics there is none don't waste your time buying from them Amazon target most electronic resellers have 30 day return policy I personally will never buy anything from them again I bought a tv from them on Saturday Samsung. My dish would connect but would not show the signal on the screen my Amazon and Netflix worked. I wanted to return. Nope I am 61 have a credit rating over 800 not going to tolerate crappy companies like this so buyer beware I will donate this tv you only burn me once fred myer how many other consumers have been taken advantage of by this stupid non return policy.

I don’t shop Fred Meyers as much as I use to because they stopped putting their weekly adds in our paper. Dumb move on their part. Doesn’t give me a reason to go in if I don’t know what’s on sale or what their weekly specials are! Not a smart move Fred Meyers!!!

Shopping elsewhere

The people are usually very nice. However… I dislike shopping there. The digital coupons are very hard to access. They keep wanting to direct you to on-line shopping. Quality of food is NOT “fresher than fresh”. Brands other than Kroeger are harder to find. The worst thing for me is the store layout….whoever decided to do that has convinced a lot of people it’s just not worth the hassle of shopping there. I am transitioning to other stores.

My experience is when I went to return food that was soggy and wasn't able to eat.The day I threw my reciet away not expecting I need it.The customer returns opens late and I don't go down that way only on weekends.The Manger in charge acted like she could do nothing for me.So she was short and I explained again it was money thrown away because of not being able to eat.I never return stuff so she acted like anything was impossible.
