i purchased some shoes while shopping in town and the shoes are coming apart after the first day i called to arrange a refund and was met with a confrontational customer service rep who refused me a refund demanding i go to the store in order for them to process i have receipt and everything they should need to properly return the product but was refused poor service crappy product and refuse all liability

The problem here at the Grants Pass Fred Meyer is management.
Kroger has been my preferred grocer going back to the early 1980s with Ralphs, then in the last 20 years Fred Meyer along with many trips to Smiths and City Markets while traveling.
All the others (with one exception in Jackson WY) have met or exceeded expectations, however this Grants Pass Fred Meyer has constantly let me down in ways that are at times downright shameful (although mostly it is simply lower than what I think this store can achieve).
Pluses include the Deli and Meats, Checkers (such as Mary), as well as the excellent rewards programs and specials.
Negatives include out of stocks, and a produce section that is far worse than any other Kroger.
But what is very troubling is your loss prevention department, which understandably we live in a time and town where theft affects us all. However having carts which for the 2nd trip in a row locks up making me move $300 of groceries to another cart is not the answer, especially when one considers the person who appears to be the main LP guy (he is the guy with long hair and he is extremely rude, condescending and worse). When this person is more concerned with senior citizens picking up cans/bottles in the parking lot while thefts are LITERALLY happening while he is doing this shows a lack of priorities and a person who is simply filled with hate (I know of family members and friends who have seen him in action too, so it is not just my opinion).
As per management, allowing this to happen shows poor leadership, lack of integrity, and a disdain for the community/customers. As well, not returning messages is also rude on the part of management
On a positive note as per management, one rude middle manager; Henry has not been around, so hopefully he has been replaced, but what we really need here is an overhaul of all management.
As someone who has a background in retail management and having gone to other Kroger stores, I know this store is far from its potential. I skipped shopping Fred Meyer last week for the first time in a while, but I would like to see the Kroger I knew for years be available in Grants Pass.

My great experience happened at the Cornelius Pass Fred Meyer gas pump! Your employee, Sebastian Ashton greeted me with a big smile, filled my gas tank and washed my windows!! Being a senior lady, I was grateful for his welcoming response!

3 cashiers in a sunday in mount vernon wa is just insane!

I used to love Fred meyer. I could go in there and get anything I needed in one place. Now there are so many displays and so much junk piled up in the aislea that you can't even get around another cart. It's ridiculous and makes shopping unpleasant. You have to wait for other people just to go down an aisle because there's no room and then you can't find things because they're displays piled up in front of the stuff you need.

Is anyone else sick and tired of the deceptive sales prices Freddys posts? Now occasionally I misread them, but if not at least once every time I go in and scan a digital coupon or buy something that shows a price with card that does not price out correctly then it is more than once. I watch mine carefully but I am sure many do not. It’s too confusing with a big basket of items because of all the .10 cent off items or such that litter the bottom of the screen. There is no question it is deliberate as I so often get push back from clerks or no willingness to even look at what I am talking about. I make them remove the questionable item as I am done paying the ridiculous prices and then hood winked into thinking I am getting a bargain. I’ll keep a list of every issue going forward and file a complaint with the state once I have 10 or so examples. Shouldn’t take long. Enough enough. Kroger is the real culprit here as I never had this problem before them.

Rude, arrogant staff

I love how Fred meyer always has registers open even when it towards closing time, unlike Safeway and them; there’s is just self checkout and I hate that. Way back when my baby had an accident or shall I say blow out, I wasn’t prepared like I should’ve been almost in tears and the Fred meyer employees came to my rescue with everything even a new outfit for her to wear that they comped. I love how much trust the higher ups give their cashiers to fix problems and do over rides when needed, super helpful.

I was sending a Western Union to my wife's family who's home country is Africa over Christmas. After stating my intent, the woman drills me with questions...

"Why are you sending there?, how do you know them, how long have you known them, where did you meet them, whats the purpose, have you been to that country, when was the last time you saw them, have you met them in person..." I interrupted her and with a kind smile I said " You Don't Need To Ask Me All These Questions. It's very intrusive, I know the policy, I am verified and have presented my ID. I just want to send this money without feeling like you are judging me or accusing me of something negative. "

This clerk says, " I don't like you, you are in here too much and I'm not letting you send money to that country. I don't like it, I'm not doing! " She leaves, tells her manager that I'm giving her a hard time and cussing her out, then has security come by as another customer is acting tough and rescuing Fred Meyers from my evil plans, trying to fight me for being frustrated that for some reason this woman has the power to do all this. She then goes to the lady that had been behind me in line and says, "he wants to send money to ----- and I'm not doing it. That place is a SH$T hole.

I love Fred Meyers it's a great store but...

... today I went to Fred Meyers to pick up some funds from Western Union and I was told that I'm not allowed to use Money Services anymore. I am 100% validated, presentable and respectful yet somehow this racist white woman at the Fred Meyers on 15609 E Sprague Ave, Spokane Valley, WA 99037, who wouldn't allow me to send money has found a way to ban me from using money services, because she doesn't like the African country that my wife is from?

I'm a white man and this is so negative and RACIST against an entire country that I'm blown away to witness this first hand. I'm disgusted and angry at Fred Meyer for supporting this woman and her lies.

The are in the overcharging racket. So many things are mislabeled or just place overpriced. Safeway used to be the store that was always charging more but now it’s Fredmeyer’s Safeway’s a lot cheaper than them

Fred's was a great store in the past.
Today they have declined to the level I seldom shop there.
These are the reasons why.
#1. They eliminated their natural food section.
#2. They eliminated their best coffee, javatopia,and many of the other brands I regularly purchased.
Their deli area where the tables are is filthy. I will never eat there again.my complaint fell on deaf ears.
When buying a bottle of wine they demanded my driver's license so they could enter it into their system. I felt violated and did not make the purchase.
During covid I took hand soap and paper towels off there shelves and placed them in the mens restroom where they were out so often. Note: With no objection from the store manager.
Their employees...I'll refrain from my comments.
In all fairness this review is directed at the Palmer Alaska location.
I have been here for 50 years and since they opened 30 + years ago.
I witnesses this decline.
To some I'm sure they see no difference or issues. They lack comparison over time.
It saddens me to write this.

Crater lake Medford store Ken is the worst pharmacist ever. Rude. Smells bad. Racist. And Mr security at that store doesn't have a clue as to right and wrong. Honestly what a joke. If Ken did to Mr security what he had done to me you wouldn't be babysitting him. But I understand you don't have a clue. You trespassed me from your stores. That's ok. But it's funny because I wasn't even in your store or on your property. I shopped at Springfield store several times a year and I'm sure you can see that from my rewards card. Now that you trespassed me you opened up my eyes to online shopping or other stores where I can buy my Levi's so much cheaper. I don't know whether to thank you or be upset. You definitely saving me money and I appreciate that. I think the problem is your uneducated on the truth. You don't need me. I don't need you. I will surely share my experience with every individual I know and if I can get just one or two people to not shop at your stores I will call it a win for me. Two sides to every story. Kinda like there are at least two more stores I can shop at and save money besides Fred Meyer. No hard feelings as I drive by Springfield Fred Meyer in my way to gateway Mall to save money. Well it's basically our best supermarket in town but last customer service ladies been rude and buying locks recently and someone cut and switched keys so later on the key wouldn't unlock said property hassle to return but I suppose f.m fixed the situation not happily but thankfully overall glad there in our town

I went in the north Fred Meyer in Medford Oregon yesterday. Got some sushi from the sushi bar. The woman making the sushi were very friendly and I said thanks to them.
Went to the self checkout and accidentally hit the help button. A SUPER grouchy old man worker gave me a crappy look and seemed super annoyed.
I would never treat anyone like that at my job (grocery also)
I’m always understanding and say “oh,that’s easy to make that mistake “.
Put friendly understanding people on the front line with your customers.
Bad taste about Fred Meyer now, for me.
One positive thing I can add is that the women in the sushi area have always been wonderful and friendly. Smiling and always being nice😊

Today this evening I got kicked out of Fred meyers in the Starbucks coffee place. I was just waiting for my medication and I was told to leave just because I looked homeless and had backpacks on me. I’m a customer at the store and they think it’s right to kick me out like that the owner and the manager of the store kicked me out! I’m thats just ridiculous made me so mad and made no sense that anyone else can chill there with there computers or talk for hours and they don’t get in trouble. But I do because to them I look homeless

Literally bought a 65" Samsung TV on Saturday , went to puck up Sunday but I was late . The person at customer service said its no problem just come back when it's convenient since I already purchased a 65" Samsung TV from the Walker Rd location in Beaverton. So I come back , park a ND only then notice that Fred Meyer cancelled my purchase and tried to gaslight me with a 55" model for the same price - No! I already bought the 65" for 377, I don't want another 55" and they aren't honoring the purchase I made - they keep trying to sell me something else. This is unbelievable , it almost worked because why would I think you changed the item when your deceptive lying website asks if I want to repurchase same item - but it was not the same. Underhanded BS and I'm out here typing my complaint and everyone inside Saud pickup , click people had left a half hour ago they just delivered items to a customer. Totally dishonest , lying , price gouging , item switching perks- complaining to Oregon Attorney General total BS

The store doesn't stock products according to popularity of sales. The things that sell better only get a small space, and not enough package size selections. Blue Buffalo dog treats I buy are constantly out of stock. The bacon sizzle and small or mini assorted bones... also A-1 STEAK SAUCE ONLY HAD 1 BOTTLE ON SHELF AND ONLY 1 SIZE AVAILABLE. OTHER BRANDS HAD MULTIPLE facings and selections. I shop at Fred's because it's such a nice store and clean . I would like to see this changed, not what some corporation gives shelf space to those that buy the shelf space. Also the extra digital coupon is stupid and DOES NOT WORK ON MY PHONE, tried it several times and have had customer service try to help me but they couldn't get it to work. Do the Digital Ciupon is DISCRINITAORY. AND ELDERLY PEOPLE ARENT TECH SAVVY LIKE YOU WANT YHEM TO BE.I used to be able to scan the coupon and the the checker would complain about using it that way and sometimes refuse to honor it that way. Disgusting filth on the display shelves in the refrigerated cookie dough aisle. Portland Burlingame store. I have a photo but not seeing the ability to send it. Really awful. Someone needs to do better. Health hazard!!!
