Have several editions of this Stephen King classic and this Folio edition blows away all others! Their books are just brilliantly crafted and makes me proud to have discovered them here in the US. Great book from The Folio Society. Hope they do more of King's work. Thanks for The Shining!!
It looks absolutely stunning! Seems to me to be the definitive edition of this absolute classic.
A beautifully published volume with excellent graphics.
Beautiful book!
Excellent edition. This is my first FS book, but I will be looking for more to add to my collection!
A wonderful version of a brilliant novel.
Beautiful edition, one to treasure.
Bought in the sale for a great price - lovely addition to my collection of Folio Books
Not read yet but looks excellent quality of product.
One of Kings best works and the book is amazing, the illustrations are fantastic and so well put together.
A stunning example of this amazing book. The illustrations are superb! :)
Quality books that like to be treasured. Must be loved and looked after and they will last a lifetime.
An absolutely stunning book. The cover, the end papers and the illustrations are all beautiful!
Stunning edition! I love it 🥰
I've always felt closer to Kubrick's film than King's original novel but the illustrations in this edition have, for the first time, helped create a visual world for the book that exists apart from Kubrick's interpretation.
The quality of the book, like all of their other books, is very impressive. From the illustrations to the quality of the binding. A joy to hold and read :)
What a beautiful, weighty tome! The black cloth is at once stark and supple; inviting and cautioning. The tale inside is unnerving, haunting and thoughtful, and the deliciously detailed wasp on the cover really sets the tone and enhances the reading experience. I have enjoyed reading this book more than any other book I can remember over the last several years, and the binding, paper, weight, art and "all together" style is accountable for that enhanced experience. Extremely pleased and will treasure this edition always.
Just stunning!
