Dettagli del prodotto

‘Obviously a masterpiece, probably the best supernatural novel in a hundred years.’
  1. Peter Straub
Jack Torrance is the new winter caretaker of the Overlook, a grand hotel nestled in the isolated Colorado mountains and cut off from civilisation during the harsh cold months. Here, with his wife Wendy and their son Danny, Jack attempts to escape the mistakes of his past and rebuild a life with his family. But the hotel has other ideas. Using Danny's strange precognitive gift – his ’shining’ – the evil that lurks inside the Overlook begins to stir, and take hold.

Made me want to pick up an axe, crack open the bathroom door and yell “Here’s Johnny,” Who said books weren’t dangerous?

I own 10+ editions of this book, and other than the original 1st edition, this is my favorite version of this book. It feels great holding it while reading, and the artwork compliments it very well.

Stunning, but even more images would be amazing.... and.... ribbon markers, please. Also - a strangely dull, plain outer box?

The illustrations by Edward Kinsella are killer. He captures the creepiness of the story and invites the reader to linger.
