Hiya guys had a horrible experience fishing today at shard end lake on packington avenue with my young son a complete idiot turns up I own this lake I own the fish i own the water on his stupid electric bike then starts to threaten my 14 year old sun he's a grown man be aware people
I came into store today in B48 and the 2 blokes were spot on. I’m very new to carp fishing. And they didn’t try getting me to spend money knowing I wouldn’t have a clue if I needed it or not. Top customer service. Went out of their way to hook me up with a full set up! Two genuine blokes. Looking forward to coming back for more gear once I’ve got the hang of 1 rod haha

Ordered yesterday, paid for 'next day delivery'. Had the order confirmation at 1:20pm. WELL before the 6pm cut off for next day delivery. Feared the worst when I received a text at 8:30 am this morning saying that my order was 'on track & working its way through our warehouse'. So I called at 9:30am just to check it would still be delivered today. What a waste of time. Customer 'care' could not do anything until the deadline had passed. So, instead of actually stopping something from becoming a problem as there should still have been plenty of time to get this picked and sent out, the company approach is just to let things go wrong and then deal. I wish I had read the reviews about expedited delivery dissapointment before placing my order. Angling Direct, where art thou..... Lesson learned.
So quick update. It is now Thursday and by anyone’s measure of ‘next day’ delivery, Fishing Republic have failed. But, following the ‘investigation’ below, pleased to say that the order is still in the warehouse with an unchanged status, so even next next day delivery now looking unlikely!

Thanks for getting back. There are 34 items in the order in total, 30 distinct products.
Are you honestly suggesting that since the order was placed on Tuesday at 1pm, someone has been unable to pick that many things?
Assuming an 8 hour day, that is 4 hours on Tuesday, plus another 8 yesterday…and the clock still ticking for today…
A minimum of 720 minutes, 30 distinct items. So not including today, your staff have had 24 minutes to pick each product line. And it still hasn’t been done. 24 minutes. Per item.
Has the pick list even been assigned to someone to pick? I find this astonishing that no one seems to be taking any responsibility for getting the order picked and dispatched – even now.

Responded to their bank Holiday discount offer & visited the Cheltenham shop. Successfully recycled some old fishing line there, and received money off there & then, on some new braided line I needed. Can't say fairer than that !

Staff very friendly and happy to help if you have any trouble looking for equipment. They do go out their way to make sure you get what’s best suited for you.

PART OF MY RECENT ORDER WAS MISSING. THE CARDBOARD ENVELOPE HAD BEEN OPENED AND ONE OF SIX PACKETS OF HOOKS WAS MISSING. LEAVING ONE EMPTY PLASTIC SLEEVE. I AWAIT THE MISSING PACKET FROM FR' AFTER MY TELEPHONE CALL.

Ordered a box seat and carry case from fishing republic and the carry case arrived in good time. However there was no trace of the other item which cost £300. After 2 weeks of waiting I had to make contact with the company. I was put on hold 3 times over a duration of 10 minutes before I was informed thaf I would have to reorder the item and was made to feel it was my fault. Item finally arrived just over a week later. No issues with the items themseves which are of good quality and reasonably priced.

Bought a new rod after ten days enquired as to where my item was and was informed the courier had lost it supposed to be getting a refund

Absolute shambles of a company ordered a seatbox was delivered incomplete was assured part would be sent to me i am assuming they have forgot as this was 2 years ago !!!!, if you want your order delivered complete i would strongly you avoid them !! Asked on the Sunderland fishing republic facebook page about my order and was promptly blocked so all in all an absolute joke of an outfit
