Ezviz DB1 Pro and Smart Chime for DB1…

Ezviz DB1 Pro and Smart Chime for DB1 Pro.
Video doorbell is working ok (as long as you have separate 2.4 GHz WiFi), Chime from other hand is annoying - loosing connection and is very quiet (for bell).
Overall system is ok but need improvement

Thank you for your feedback. Based on the insights you've shared, we would like to update some key information and usage recommendations regarding the EZVIZ DB1 Pro and Smart Chime products that you have purchased.

Please kindly note that DB1 pro supports both 2.4G and 5G connection, and you can adjust the volume of the chime sound from the EZVIZ APP - Chime settings page - Sound.

As for the offline issue, to ensure that your chime receives a strong signal and has sufficient bandwidth to work, you can try to
- Move the chime closer to your router, avoid obstacles and interferences such as walls, lifts, microwaves, washing machines and Bluetooth devices.
- If your Wi-Fi router has an adjustable antenna, try pointing it in different directions.
- If possible, disconnect some infrequently used devices from your router.

This video doorbell solved my problem

I had a Eufy doorbell before but the performance not great, someone recommend the EZVIZ to me, I want to say this is excellent product. It does exactly what i want and the battery really good can last long time.

Product says last 240 day plus. Hasnt even managed a month not worth 116. More like 50 pounds blink last longer

Hi,

Please kindly note the battery life data is from EZVIZ Lab’s test results under standard conditions, and the actual battery life will vary depending on environmental factors, network stability and the frequency of camera activities.
Thus, to optimize the battery life, we suggest you check the followings:
1)Low temperature. As the battery inside is lithium-ion battery, if the temperature is low, the charging would be slowed, so you may need to charger more often at temperatures below 0.
2)Weak Wi-Fi connection. Please ensure the network connection is good and there is no barrier or radio interference between your camera and your router causing unstable network. You may open EZVIZ mobile app > enter camera settings > Network Settings and tap Wi-Fi Signal Strength to test the signal.
3)Meanwhile, you can try below settings to reduce battery drain:
- enable Power Saving or Super Power Saving(only active live view can wake up the camera) in camera Settings > Working Mode
- decrease detection sensitivity in camera settings > Intelligent Detection
- draw detection areas in camera settings > Intelligent Detection

According to your request, you may enter the Device Settings page>Audio Settings > Chime Ringtone Settings to adjust the ring type and volume as you need. If not working, for better troubleshooting, please contact us at support@ezvizlife.com and offer the device serial number and screenshots of the related issue pages for further checking.

Excellent quality camera

Excellent quality camera. Functions and app great. Higher spec than some more expensive cameras. Delivery and service excellent. Price great, mine was on sale too.

DB2 DOORBELL & CHIME NOT CONNECTING

Purchased doorbell & chime pack after reading positive Expert Review & others. Prompt delivery and well packaged.

Set-up instructions via App are clear but after 6 days & 10 attempts including re-sets I cannot connect. I have a 970 mbps internet & a router that runs both 2.4 and 5 ghz (Ezviz needs 2.4). Conection fails despite everything being within 1 metre of router.

Interestingly the box contains a small label that specifically tells you to contact Support if unable to connect....so they know there are issues! I contacted Support (overseas I beileve) via tel and was answered quickly. Tried to connect with him, failed so he referred the case to an expert. Received follow-up email a day later but the person just repeated same pre-canned text and ignored what I had told them the day before. No solution as of today. I caution buying this product which clearly has in-built connection problems. I will update review if resolved or returned for refund.

Pathetic customer service

Pathetic customer service. Only available via email and they take weeks to reply and then 8gnore the issue. Crooks have a faulty doorbell which they refuse to fix or take back as return. Never worked from day one. BEWARE.

Ordered a twin pack

Ordered a twin pack, and was only sent 1 camera. I had to chase Ezviz to get the second one delivered as they didn't notice only 1 was sent. There is no contact number for the shop, had to phone the worldwide support center to get my issue logged and then it took a couple of weeks until i received my second camera.

Fine if Working - but if not ......

I bought 3 cameras direct from Ezviz, they are easy to fit and get used to and the quality of the images is good.

Two of the C8C cameras work fine, I have been through customer services via email and phone calls and I cannot fault the support regarding the camera that isn't working.

However all are agreed that the one camera has a hardware fault and I have been advised to contact the seller to seek a replacement - but the seller is part of the Ezviz franchise, it's contact details are the same as the support centre and there is no individual telephone number or email address for the seller.

Therefore I cannot get in touch with the seller and after the support centre intimating they can assist - now do not answer calls and haven't responded to my emails requesting their support to get either a refund or a replacement.
