Very poor communication, happy to take money but not deliver what you have paid for

Ordered fruit box for my daughters birthday, had to chase the order up when arrived several fruits were complety in edible, advised they would send the new fruit out and gave a 5 % off next order. And customer service seemed good although had to wait many days for a response.

My daughter ordered more fruit on the 5th June and advised the fruit was not in stock but would be the following day and delivered to me by Wednesday I also ordered a father's day box to be delivered on the 13th, again chasing up with emails, the father's day box arrived dragon fruit was moldy 2 other fruits were no edible , most of the fruit had to be Eaten on the day, still have had no correspondence or acknowledgement of the previous order or emails Instagram Contacts made no one is getting back to me but has happily taken my money.

The family were quite excited to try…

The family were quite excited to try some new fruits but when the package arrived we found that about half of the contents were over ripe/some inedible. For the price I must say it felt quite disappointing. I can understand that it can be tricky to deliver such fruits in peak condition but feel that more could have been done to ensure freshness and quality on arrival.

New customers stay away from this company



I should have visited Trustpilot before placing my order to read about other customers' bad experiences with this scam of a company. I was initially impressed by the photos on their website and decided to place an order. Unfortunately, it took ages to arrive, and when it finally did, I received the wrong order along with rotten fruits. My order included a rotten kiwi, an apricot, and a black banana – hardly the exotic fruits I was expecting.

I contacted customer services, and while a responsive team member acknowledged that a wrong order was sent, there was no response or action regarding the rotten fruits. A replacement order has been placed, but I am still waiting to see what I will receive. Their policy does not allow for refunds, so I assume I have wasted £18. The rotten fruits and other issues have put me off so much; this has been the worst customer experience ever.

New customers, stay away from this company. Their photos of the fruits might be AI-generated or not real, as the company fails to deliver on its promises and provide an excellent customer experience.

It was my first time ordering from this…

It was my first time ordering from this company, we ordered 500 g of lychee and A few other bits and pieces, the order £32. That with £6.95 shipping. The free to arrived, we ate maybe six or seven pieces of it on the first day, on the second day we went to open some of the fruit to eat and, half of the ones we had selected were mouldy/fairy inside. I popped an email to customer service, in which they took 72 hours to reply informing me there after 24 hours they accept no responsibility for mouldy fruit? I don’t really understand how you’re meant to eat over 500 g of fruit in a day and be aware that it’s mouldy inside.

Furthermore, the customer service response was 72 hours therefore even if we had replied within 24 hours they wouldn’t have got back to us within this timeframe. Either way, they just do everything to avoid giving any level of compensation, I didn’t want a full refund, just a goodwill gesture would’ve been enough and we would’ve been regular customers. Instead there poor customer service and quite frankly poor product means that we will categorically not be ordering from them again.

I've got multiple email from them as…

I've got multiple email from them as the delivery came in a soaking wet box from the fruit being smashed inside the box the delivery was refused, the delivery driver takes pictures and takes the delivery away.

I email exotic fruits and over 5 days later, Rose from Exotic Fruits emails back to say that due to not sending a photo of the delivery within 24hrs (they replied 5 days later) they will not refund or resend the paid for delivery.

Companies a scam and they have shitty customer service, Do not use, there's plenty of better companies out there.

Placed an order for Alphonso Mangos on…

Placed an order for Alphonso Mangos on Monday last week. Received confirmation email but had to chase them up for the dispatch. Eventually they arrived today. Completely mush inside a.d some even browning. Will be seeking a full refund. £30 for 6 inedible mangoes that I waited nearly 2 weeks for.

WHERE IS MY FRUIT? & Bad Customer Service!

I ordered my exotic fruit box on 28/04 (18 fruits in the box, plus bought an additional mango which was worth £50.51) - now as of writing this review it is 8/05/2025 and the order still hasn't arrived (they claim it is next day delivery and give you a calendar to select a date you will be available - I selected Wednesday 30/04 as my delivery date therefore it is over a week late!)
I have emailed twice, DM'd them on IG, commented on their IG post to get them to check their email and DMs, I attempted to call four times. Absolutely no response. Zero customer service. I only checked the reviews yesterday when I really felt frustrated and I am appalled to see so many unhappy customers - many of whom are struggling with the same issue of it not being delivered yet and unable to get a response from customer service - but worse yet is those who are complaining about the fruit arriving rotten and mouldy, incomplete orders - only partial orders being delivered, a lack of willingness to refund people who have been delivered inedible rotten fruits, bruised and damaged fruit from improper packaging methods, and many other issues.
This is ridiculous! I can't even comment on the quality of the fruit because it is yet to arrive. I am really concerned that by the time they send it, some fruit will have gone off, I want all my fruit to be freshly packed this week and sent to me this week! It is surprising that a company dealing with edible products doesn't prioritise ensuring the fruits are sent to the customers in a fast manner as these are PERISHABLE items. I am very disappointed so far. I basically want to cancel my order and receive a refund but how is that possible with a company that cannot even respond to communication attempts from me or any of their other customers. They must be too embarrassed to communicate so they would rather bury their heads in the sand like an ostrich - but this will be the demise of their company if they cannot improve delivery times, freshness of the product and customer service!
{This fruit order was meant for a YouTube mukbang video and I will certainly be publicly expressing my honest opinion about this in that video if the fruit ever arrives - as well as expressing what the true quality is like so if they send me rotten fruit - they are only going to be damaging their own reputation publicly! Hopefully this review incentivises them to resolve my late delivery issue and ensure that a manager does a quality control check to ensure optimal freshness on all of my fruit!}
If the company reads this and resolves it by sending me my order - which is great fresh quality in a quick manner from the date of posting this - I am willing to adjust my review to a 2 or 3 star if the fruit is good quality and fresh... however there will remain a truthful expression of the late delivery and the poor customer service which is why they have already lost 2 stars in my opinion.
Honestly I feel like my trust as a consumer has been deteriorated...

Placed order on 30/4 however no confirmation email and till now still no delivery. Been emailed twice and called however no reply. Money already gone through and no one answer the phone or reply email tp explain what going on. Very bad service and this already happened twice before.

Order never received

I ordered from the Exotic Fruits on April 16th, expecting next day dispatch as advertised. It has now been almost three weeks, and I still have not received my order. The customer service has been a nightmare; I've had to chase them multiple times for updates. I was informed that my order would arrive on a Wednesday, but five days later, I am still empty-handed.

To make matters worse, there has been no refund or clear communication regarding my order status. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I can’t help but feel scammed. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Save your time and money—there are far better alternatives out there!

The first orders I placed everything…

The first orders I placed everything went smoothly, the next however hasn't some of the fruit had gone mouldy after a day and I had items missing from my order but absolutely zero communication even having sent 3 emails unfortunately I won't be using them again.

Disappointed

I was excited to order from ExoticFruits.co.uk, but my experience was disappointing. The order arrived late, I received fewer fruits than I ordered with no clear notice this could happen, and several fruits arrived damaged/rotten.

Although I reported the issue straight away, it took over a week to get a response and turns out that their system had failed and I was asked to report the issue again. I waited another 5 days until someone got back to me. The resolution offered was poor. Policies like needing photos within 24 hours weren’t clearly communicated, and overall, I felt let down — especially considering the high cost of the order.

I hope they improve their service and communication because the concept is great, but sadly my experience didn’t live up to expectations.

Terrible customer service, zero communication

Overall do not order from this website. I ordered a total of 11 fruits, 5 of which were single dates and another 2 of which were a jujube Chinese date and a jujube ber. The website claims that they only do next day delivery, however I waited until the 23rd of April (5 days after I had ordered it) and still nothing showed up. I took it upon myself to send an email to them to try and figure out what had happened to my order. They got back within the same day and reassured me that my order would be delivered the next day and the reasoning behind it was that their suppliers were late bringing some of my fruits in. This makes it a total of 6 days since I had originally ordered it. It wouldn't have hurt to have told me this prior to me sending an email as it would've saved me a lot of trouble. Also some fruits that I ordered did not arrive and I was not notified about this. It says I have been refunded on my physical copy of the order summary and that an email has been sent to me for the 2 fruits that were not sent (jujube Chinese date and jujube ber) however I have received no refund and no email despite me emailing about this matter twice now. Customer service is overall shocking, surprised this place is still open to be honest. Will not be buying from here again.

Quick edit, the majority of my fruit will not ripen either despite being sat at room temperature for over a week now. They were obviously taken off the plant too early

Order not received

Order not received. A replacement was sent but this hasn’t yet arrived so I can’t really comment on its contents. Disappointed as this was an Easter gift and the recipient waited in twice for deliveries….but nothing so far. The tracking on the delivery is non-existent so not at all helpful.
