Good tech support

I had ordered the wrong motion sensors, the tech guys immediately understood my problem. A return was instigated and a full refund issued.

Excellent customer support.

Had issues with my outside alarm box after 7 years. Phoned the ERA helpline and got through to an advisor immediately. The advisor talked me through some tests after which it was concluded that the sounder had failed. Ordered a new box and now all set up and working again.

A great concept but improvements to the app are needed

Overall I like the product but there are a few glitches in the app that need to be resolved
1st one is the app logs out on its own quite randomly and it doesn’t work with Face ID and the password field doest load you saved password which is annoying
Auto Unlock is intermittent
It would be a great feature if your phone could be the RFID card for access

Thank you for your feedback.

The ERA Smart Home app does have the functionality where the app will open using Face ID, to enable this please go to Account Settings, choose Security and then select Enable Biometrics.

Once you are logged in on the app, there shouldn't be a reason where you are logged out, the only reason this would happen is if someone else logs in using the same credentials on another device. If there are multiple users, we recommend setting up additional users.

Due to the radio frequency used for the Smart Universal Handle, it is not possible at this time for mobile handsets to be used.

Awesome bit of kit!

I bought this lock after seeing the same in use at a friend's.
I originally bought a Yale but after it not working correctly and constantly dropping connectivity, even customer care didn't know (weren't bothered) I went for Era.
It was simple to fit with easy, clear instructions and connected via the app first time, and very soon the whole family were on the app and had their fingerprints installed. Only been in a week, but perfect so far!!

Looked on amazon for a wireless alarm…

Looked on amazon for a wireless alarm system for my garage and room above, saw these and liked the look of them for 199 quid, but looked on era web page to find the 50 quid cheaper, so took a punt, arrived in really quick time well packaged with good instructions. Withing 30 mins maybe less the whole system was up and running great product easy to use recommended

ERA Protect system

Use ERA products before and always found them good value.
I had mistakingly ordered some accessories that were not compatible with my ERA Protect system.
Tech support were very helpful in resolving the issue.
The system was easy to install but instructions could be more informative.
The App is the only way to set up the system and adding devices is easy.
The App can be confusing to navigate and is fairly basic.
As yet I have not found how to test system without setting off alarm.

Finger print unreliable

Installation was fairly easy, setup of the wifi took a few goes. The finger print is a bit unreliable, and it doesn't always lock first time. There are probably better locks on the market.

Reassuringly good tel support if ever needed

The telephone support line for Era was brilliant, got through to a support member without delay or twenty questions answerphone nonsense. The guy I spoke to was really on the ball and solved the problem I was having connecting my wireless siren to the control pad in a matter of seconds.
Amazing support and top quality alarm systems.

I like not using keys

I like not using keys.
Sometimes the fingerprint doesn’t work first time and also the lock
Doesn’t always activate when locked, you have to lift and lock twice for it to engage. Which is disappointing.

As the fingerprint is a captive sensor, as much as possible your finger and sensor do need to be dry. When you added your fingerprint to the handle, it is very important your finger is in a vertical position when it is added, and that the whole sensor is covered.

The handle should only have to be lifted once to initiate the lock process, if it is having to be lifted twice, then this could indicate a time issue, or possibly that the handle is being released too quickly from the upwards motion.
