I've had a really positive experience with both the app and the accounts and tax return filing service.

The reason I rated 4 rather than 5 is that there have been quite a few bugs in the software over the past year. The support team are very communicative and quick to apply fixes but it is a bit disruptive.

Only very recently joined but so far this is great. I feel so much more in control and in the know about the accounts already. There is so much I don't know and don't understand yet about accounting and I've just been on the live chat with a senior accountant who was talking me through everything and answering my questions so patiently and clearly. I felt he made sure that I was doing everything above board which I wanted. Really helpful and I've learned stuff today. Not once did I feel he was annoyed by my ignorance and just broke things down in to easy to understand chunks of information if I got confused. Thank you Ember.

I have struggle to find an accountant that can help me submit my Self-assessment in time till I find Ember. I had to complete few details and pay for my self-assessment next day after I did the payment a guy called David reach out to inform me that my tax return is ready and he can sublimated after I will approved it.

I have looked over and I find a numbers of information's that were missing, in my mind was .... there it gooses, will not be able to resolve them and I will get frustrated, however, long story short after he answered my questions and after he did all the modifications that I have requested everything was ready for submission. I gave him my OK and I received confirmation that my assessments was successfully submitted.

I can only say Thank you David for your help and I do recommend you guys to give it a try to see if will work for you.

I am new to working in the UK - and self-employed, and I could not navigate everything in a timely fashion. I was going to go to a high street accountancy - but Ember was more price competitive, and I had one individual doing all my taxes and national insurance, and he always turned everything around very quickly and was always available for my questions.

I can’t reccomend ember enough, the customer service is 10/10 and the software they use, so you can keep track of all your finances is second to non.

These guys are stars, it took a bit of time to get going, but Sarah went above and beyond to get me moved over and also sorted out some issues caused by past accountants.

It does take a while to get your head around the software, but once you have done, you have so much more knowledge of what's going on.

Highly recommended.

Knocked spots off my previous experiences for the usability of the platform, and the responsiveness of the accountants. Moreover they really spoke to me like a human who doesn't speak tax, and when there was the occasional unclear point, they fixed it for me instead of sending me an email telling me to fix it myself and leaving me to work out how (looking at some of you other accountants here!)

Ember deserves to do well, it's the first time I have found a product/service in this field that genuinely seems to understand and care about us sole traders/small businesses.

Steve is the best and the most helpful accountant, he is very efficient and always available to help when needed. Ember is very easy to use and reliable, I am very happy with their service and have put my mind in peace when it comes to my taxing . I highly recommend Ember and Steve.

This is a great new platform that finally gives small and medium-sized businesses a chance to manage their books without having to spend lots of money.

While Bookkeeping software is becoming more and more prevelant, Tax has always been the hard part. Ember finally combines Bookkeeping and Tax at a price point that is manageable for small business.

Great customer service and a good product. Like any new platform/startup, there are still some bugs and improvements to the platform that are required--but this company is well on its way to disrupting the SMB services industry in the UK. Well done.

This is only my second year of having to do a self-assessment and I decided to try Ember.co as I felt I didn't get any great service or benefit from using an accountant last year.
As with any new system (plus my lack of experience in doing returns!), there is a learning curve.
Importing my bank accounts was easy and it then took a little while to understand what to do with each transaction, as there were a lot of them.
I used the message system to ask a few questions - it felt like the staff were really trying to answer my questions fully, not just paying lip service. The replies were sometimes delayed, but that's totally acceptable and worked well.
I've nearly done my whole year of accountancy in a few days and will be getting them to do my Self-Assessment return as well.

The team at Ember have completely taken the tax headache out of my first few months of freelancing. Steven has given me real clarity around revenue and income tax, Sarah has helped me with a tricky contract negotiations and my invoices have gone out on time. It feels like they’re really willing to go the extra mile - I’d definitely recommend.

Excellent service so far. I'm new to self assessment and there information available via a real human being is so valuable. Thanks to Paul, all of my queries were answered succinctly and swiftly.

I'm unable to review transactions for over a week because of an issue. I understand it's a third party involved but dumping the responsibility on somebody else isn't going to help the customers.
