Excellent service from East Durham funeral from walking through the door Ellen was very helpful and what we asked for was done we were entirely satisfied with the service and the people who drove the cars and they were always there to answer any questions that we had

Professional, respectful, friendly and caring staff who made the whole experience go as smooth as possible. Every last detail was carefully planned. Communication was excellent and replies were always swift. A massive thank you to them.

From start to finish, the service we received was excellent. All of the staff were very caring and helpful and answered all of our questions. Ellen was in touch on a regular basis and keep us informed of all progress stages. We could not have asked for a better service from a very professional company who looked after our Mam for us. Thank you.

Excellent service from all at East Durham Funeral Services, from the moment we walked through the door we knew we had made the right choice of parlour.
Massive thanks to Ellen especially, she was helpful, compassionate, advisory and completely professional putting us at ease through the difficult journey of Dads passing.
The Florist they used was Amazing given that we vaguely asked for " Scottish Themed " flowers which were stunning and exceeded our expectations.
Dad was prepared to perfection even in his Tottenham Hotspur scarf.
Once again Thank You to the whole Team doesn't seem enough.
we would use East Durham Funeral again if they ever expand to our region and have no hesitation in recommending them.

A huge thank you to Tom, Ellen and everyone at East Durham Funeral Service for being so helpful, caring and respectful. They made everything very easy for us at a very difficult time and gave my dad a perfect send off.
Would 100% recommend.

An excellent and professional service from start to finish from all at East Durham Funerals.
Never had to deal with arranging a funeral before for somebody so close, but everything was explained thoroughly and the process was made as smoothly as it possibly could have been.
Such a difficult time made that little bit easier with caring and compassionate staff. Thank you so much.

We cannot thank Tom and Ellen enough for their guidance and advice during a very difficult and emotional time.
I needed to have things explained again at times as I was so emotional when we first spoke after mams death. This was not a problem at all, and Ellen was so patient with me going over things again.
Mam had paid for and planned her funeral well in advance but the finer details needed to be sorted which they helped with, with compassion and respect.
I would definitely recommend East Durham funeral services and THANK YOU to all the staff for your services on the day of the funeral.

Tom and his team provided a first class service from mum's passing to the day of her funeral. Everything was arranged by them with total perfection and sincerity during a very stressful and emotional time for our family.

Absolutely amazing team, thank you so much to Tom, Ellen and everyone at East Durham Funeral Services. You made everything so easy from start to finish when we are all grieving, we can’t thank you enough, all of you care so much 🫶🏼

I cannot thank the staff at East Durham Funeral services enough for their fantastic help and guidance following out my late father in law's wishes recently and also for my own father last year, from our first contact with them to the funeral aftercare they were amazing, thank you Tom, Ellen and everyone at EDFS who has been there for us through our difficult time.

Every member of the team at East Durham Funeral Service did an exceptional job in handling things for us, both in the immediate aftermath of my father's death and thereafter, the management of the ceremony, logistics, the service itself, the presentation, communication, and offering comfort, compassion and empathy, and the formalities with the hearse and limo (done in both a friendly and respectful way). Would highly recommend and the pricing is excellent value relative to other funeral services also. Our family are very grateful.

I cannot thank Ellen, Tom and the rest of East Durham Funeral Service enough for the funeral for my Mam / Grandma. The service, care and professionalism is next to none. Highly recommend to anyone.

My family and I have high praise indeed for this funeral service.
From the first visit through to the service for our beloved Mam, Ellen, Tom & Judith provided us with exceptional care and support at such a difficult time in our lives, we will always appreciate the support we had and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I would highly recommend East Durham funeral service. They were very professional with a empathetic and proactive approach. Ellen and Tom were very personable and incredibly supportive throughout the whole process. The team went above and beyond to support us during a difficult and challenging time. From start to finish, they were incredible. Very genuine and kind people, with a person centred approach with the delivery of their service. We can not thank them enough for all they did for us.

Really professional and considerate.
Took care of everything for our family.

Dad passed away recently at the grand old age of 99 and already had in place A Golden Charter Funeral Plan which he had taken out with Esst Durham Funeral Homes. So when the time came the majority of the arrangements were already in place. I met with Phillip 2 days after dad died to go over everything and he put me so at ease with what still needed to be done and what l needed to do.
Ellen was working away on the arrangements behind the scenes keeping me fully informed along the way as to how things were moving. The Funeral day itself was led by Tom and everything went off to perfection. I cannot recommend East Durham Funeral Homes highly enough for their friendliness and sheer professionalism at a sad and difficult time for all the family.

Staff were very professional and helpful throughout a very difficult process. They were always available to help and advise, this made dealing with things much easier.

From the initial contact, to the funeral itself, they made the process as smooth as possible, during a difficult time.
Nothing was too much trouble. Ellen was very accommodating and organised everything, including the wake.
Tom was excellent, giving advice and very helpful.
I would 100% recommend East Durham Funeral Services Ltd.
