We cannot thank East Durham Funeral Services enough for everything they did for our Grandad and our family during one of the hardest times of our lives.

From the very first contact, we were treated with such kindness, compassion and understanding. Ellen was absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond for us at every stage. She was so caring, patient and approachable, and nothing ever seemed like too much trouble.

During such an emotional and difficult time, Ellen made us feel completely supported and reassured. She helped guide us through everything with such professionalism, while still showing genuine warmth and compassion towards our family.

Most importantly, the care, dignity and respect shown to our Grandad meant more to us than we could ever put into words. We had complete trust that he was being looked after with the same love and respect that we would have given him ourselves.

The funeral was beautiful, and everything was handled with such care and attention to detail. Ellen helped make an incredibly difficult day just that little bit easier for us, allowing us to focus on saying goodbye to our much-loved Grandad.

The service from all staff was excellent from the date my Aunt passed away until her cremation service and organising burial of her ashes. They made a very very difficult time less stressful, nothing was too much for them.

The professionalism in which the service was carried out from start to finish by all the East Durham Funeral Service staff were exemplary, the notification of service, order of service, the cars and drivers, pall bearers the spread for the wake afterwards, the keepsake cards afterwards for the family, all the smallest of details made by all the staff to make a sad event more bearable.
