Poor customer service when trike had issues
Spent £3000 on a trike in January and we’re now in July and issues I raised with them on the day of delivery have still not been dealt with.
From the trike being delivered late as the courier couldn’t figure out how to get it off the tail lift (it was outside my house and they took it away again and I had to wait several more day to get it), e-bikes offered some complimentary items e.g. a free lock or helmet as an apology and I was really grateful but then this was never sent.
The battery is still behaving erratically and the trike arrived with a broken bell and canopy.
Despite repeated phone calls and complaints, each time I’ve called they have ASSURED me that the issues will now be sorted out, then it goes silent again. I don’t have time to constantly chase this in working hours and it’s getting really frustrating and stressful.
I shouldn’t have to spend extra money to buy replacement items for such an expensive trike when they arrived broken. I have now had to spend £500 on a new battery from the Copenhagen based supplier which works properly (making it even clearer to me that there is something wrong with the pre-supplied one. Really disappointed with how this has been dealt with.
BE WEARY 😮💨
I was looking at ordering a bike via cyclescheme and spent a bit of time reading up on bikes and suppliers before I decided to go with e-bike direct. Decided to go for an electric Wisper 806 and chose e-bikes direct to get it from. The company has a decent rating on here so I felt confident I will be in good hands..fast forward to July and I have reached a point where I just have no words to describe how bad of an experience I have had.
The bike came scratched pretty badly (got touch up paint sent to me to cover up the scratches). From the get go I had concerns about my brakes but was told by Arran (who seemed competent enough) that they set up breaks tightly to begin with, to ensure better braking over time (I had no reason not to believe that). Two weeks in the brakes did not loosen off but instead, my front wheel would DISPLACE to one side when braking. That’s when I decided the bike is getting sent back, because I did not feel safe riding it. E-bikes we’re to arrange a pick up on an agreed day (it did not happen). When I queried it, I was advised that they had a wrong mobile number so the courier couldn’t reach me (I don’t know where the wrong number came from), but the bike sat boxed up and ready to go for a further few days (weekend + my work schedule). Finally it was picked up, and e-bikes direct were to assess and repair the bike (I have mentioned it a few times I don’t feel confident with that particular bike and would prefer and exchange). Bike got picked up on 16/06 and had an email from the company on 27/06 saying it’s been repaired, and the colleague who emailed me SUGGESTED HIMSELF that he goes over everything that’s been done to it over the phone, as it’s easier than putting it all in an email. I have told e-bikes that I can only talk after 5:30 and we agreed Arran will try to call me on 28/06 on his way home…it did not happen. I contacted them again, and we agreed on 29/06, a call also didn’t happen. Finally, we agreed we’ll forgo the phone call and I requested a detailed email with what was wrong with the bike, and what’s been done to it, before there’s talk of it being sent back to me. I was told on 3/07 that I will receive an email with requested information ASAP…it’s 18/07 now, I haven’t heard back from the company.
Now, I never leave reviews but this experience has gone from bad to worse pretty quickly and I am simply exasperated. I’m not saying not to use the company because clearly many people have had a good experience, but BE WEARY is all I can say.
A1 Service - eBikes Direct
I contacted eBikes Direct via email with some questions about the RooDog Tourer which I was very interested in buying and received prompt replies that answered my questions, so I purchased this bike at an excellent price (£451.00 off RRP).
Communication from start to finish was excellent and the bike arrived on schedule and the packaging was second to none.
I’m absolutely delighted with my bike and would definitely recommend eBikes Direct as a supplier of choice; you won’t be disappointed!
Ordered through the range who sent the…
Ordered through the range who sent the item from here , came with missing parts and a faulty part …. After 5 weeks of contacting the range this company and the company who made the actual product it’s finally being returned.
Nothing but hassle could have easily sent the missing filter and replaced the leaking part of the pool but instead constant messing around .
Will now be collected this week and will be re buying the pool else where £40 cheaper .
Maybe the company should stick to just selling bikes like there name as they seem to have good reviews for that product

I order a kids bike through Decathlon on the 01/07/2023. it never turned up! after chasing it with no joy what so ever, i decided to contact Ebikes directly as they are Decathlons bike supplier. I spoke to a guy call Richard. He had a bike in delivered to my hose the next day. the bike was for my daughters bike ability test at school. Thank you Richard. thank you Ebik. The bike from Decathlon still hasn't arrived.
Excellent product and excellent service
At first I enquired about buying an e-bike through the cycle to work scheme. Garf responded timely and always with the information i required. I ended up not buying through the scheme so I bought it direct. Again Garf responded to every query I had and when i asked for blue light discount explained that was not possible so he let me have a helmet and lock free of charge. I’ve now received all items and am more than happy with both the products and the service received. I would highly recommend e-bikes direct. Thank you

I had a lot of trouble with halfords with no help from their customer service or there CEO,absolute disgusting service,I phoned ebikes direct and they couldn't be more helpful and easy to deal with and I had my bike in a couple of days.thank you don't think I will be going anywhere else in the future. Brilliant Customer Care
I placed an order for a Raleigh Motus with E-Bikes Direct. Unfortunately after waiting in all day, DX Delivery Service failed to deliver my bicycle. I emailed E-Bikes Direct that evening and received a response from Darren at 08:30 the following morning. Following Darren's investigations, it transpired that the packaging was damaged & the bike was placed into quarantine by DX. Unfortunately, DX didn't bother letting E-Bikes Direct know and Darren asked that bike was returned to them. At this point, I decided to upgrade to the Motus Tour. Darren sorted out the order, offered a bike accessory for the failed delivery of the original bike and kept me updated on progress with the delivery of the replacement bike. The customer support provided by Darren throughout the whole purchase was exemplary. All of my queries were responded to very quickly and it was clear that he really cared that I was happy with the bike and the service received. I have never experienced such amazing customer service and Darren is a credit to E-Bikes Direct. I am delighted with my Motus Tour, especially at the price & really glad I bought it from E-Bikes Direct. Highly recommended!

I would highly recommend Ebikesdirect after receiving customer service that was second to none. I ordered a bike for my sons birthday (only two days to go 🫣). The service I paid for guarantees delivery within 1-2 days so I called in the hope they may be able to help get it delivered in time. I spoke to Darren who was absolutely fantastic & couldn’t be more helpful. Darren clearly did all he could to help & the bike arrived the day before my sons Birthday. Cargo Bike
Very happy with my cargo bike purchase. Alex and his team were super helpful in the ordering process and I got my bike delivered two weeks after placing the order. Very straightforward process, happy with the bike and I feel pretty confident in their two year warranty and that any issues will be resolved should they ever arise.

Again Ebikes direct strikes again, broken promise after, broken promise. I wouldn't trust this company at all, be very careful when having anything delivered from them. My bike was delivered after a reported fault only for the delivery driver to throw my bike of the back of the wagon, damaged the box also had footprints all over the box obviously the box had been walked all over. The driver didn't even let me know it had been delivered so anyone could have walked away with it. The bike has gone back since to Ebikes direct still awaiting delivery 3 weeks later.
There are better companies you can spend your money with. DO NOT part with your money with Ebikes direct terrible company with terrible after service.
I also forgot to mention when I wrote a review on another site a few weeks ago I was asked by a manager (No mention of his name) at Ebikes direct if I would remove my review once my bike had been repaired, I told him NO under any circumstances would I remove the review as others had to be warned before making a purchase, I thought this was blackmail also very unprofessional, you have been warned if parting money with this company.
First class service
I am delighted with my bike. It was a like for like replacement as mine was stolen.
First class service from e-bikes direct. My bike arrived within 4 days of ordering and apart from having to tighten the handle bars and put the pedals on (they are left off in transit) the bike was in immaculate condition.
I had read some negative reviews but my experience has only been positive.
