Dr Julian is a UK-based mental health service providing fast, flexible access to qualified and regulated clinicians for therapy, psychological support and ADHD services. We exist to remove the barriers that stop people getting help, whether that is long waiting lists, limited appointment times or difficulty finding the right clinician. People use Dr Julian to access therapy without long waits, choose their clinician and appointment time, attend sessions online, and get support that fits around real life. Our network includes fully accredited clinicians delivering a wide range of therapies including CBT, counselling and EMDR, alongside specialist support for adults, children and neurodivergent individuals. We also provide ADHD pre-screen consultations, clinically-led diagnostic assessments where appropriate, and structured follow-on support and therapy. All clinicians are fully vetted, supervised and professionally registered. We are CQC registered and operate to NHS-grade standards for clinical governance and data protection. People can access Dr Julian through private self-referral, employer or insurer-funded care, or NHS pathways. There are no subscriptions or ongoing commitments. Private patients only pay for the care they use. If you are referred by your employer, insurer or the NHS, your care may be funded as part of your pathway. Charlotte was a great help to me when I was feeling low with a lack of self-esteem lack of direction. As I expected, I did all the talking and Charlotte did all the listening, and I find the experience very cathartic. I believe on each session, I was reduced to tears, which I believe to be the anxiety leaching from my system. I don’t think I would have been able to go this process alone without the help of Charlotte and the service but she offered me.

Laura Kirk has been been amazing, she has been with me for around 7 months and i cannot fault her. She has helped me so so much thanks just isn't enough. I was in a dark place 7 months ago, and with her help she has helped me through my struggles and built my confidence up again to make me feel myself again. I had my last CBT session with Shuwana Matthews at the start of September after 12 weekly sessions from the NHS talking therapies service. The therapy was absolutely amazing. The skills and techniques I learned have changed how I navigate difficult situations, and general everyday life. I am much happier and in a much better place now than I was when I started the sessions, and I am so grateful to Shuwana for her excellent support and help. I would recommend therapy to anyone, even though it’s hard it’s worth every second.
Great experience and I would recommend therapy to and anyone. I was anxious to share but after 12 weeks of instant interaction I was comfortable to the extent where I was able to open up and share, gave me understanding of what I was going through. The biggest take away from it for me is knowing how to adjust and adapt to life after in civilian world navigating military and civil life. The health professional was awesome and over the weeks I was very comfortable and trusted her analysis and judgement towards me. Thank you for listening, it means the more than the word thank you, I am in a better place now.
can't thank doctor julian toh enough, i have been his patient for 7 years now. I would not be the easiest patient to deal with as my mental health issues are very complex. He has always been attentive & caring. He is also not your typical "quak" doc. i find it easier to be myself around him, without judgement. i dont feel like i'm being obviously analysed, even though it's his job. He doesn't put up a facade, unlike other doctors. which makes it easier to relate & open up to him. I don't think people realise what a emotional tole he takes on doing what he does. I admire his resilience, not many could cope. Most doctors completely detach from their patients & give up, Dc toh, does his best & should be appreciated,
going above & beyond. He really does care. He has a unique gift are I am blessed he is my doc. He is f#n awesome!
When I met Laura Kirk, the therapist I chose with Dr Julian, I knew instantly she was the right one for me, she helped me to feel relaxed instantly as I was so scared and didn’t know what to expect with my first ever session in my life! She helped me to understand why I felt the way I did all my life, we broke it down into bite sized pieces as there was ALOT to work through and for the first time in my life I feel free, Laura has given me my life back, I can now leave the house by myself without fear for the first time ever in 33 years! if anyone reading this is unsure of therapy please try with Laura Kirk she’s very kind and sensitive to all subjects of trauma, Thankyou again Laura.
I was referred by the NHS for a few problems that I had and was helped and given the tools to deal with them all the way by Mary. Such a wonderful kind lady who listened and advised but never judged. She also was a support system so I could approach other Clinics. Oh how I miss her.
I had Gareth Muir as my therapist through this system and he was amazing. Incredibly kind, supportive and helpful, he really made me come out of my shell and he has given me tools I can and will use for my entire life.
I would highly recommend contacting this service if you are ever having issues with anxiety or depression, they are wonderful and so helpful.
I have had CBT in the past, but nothing as helpful, transformative, and encouraging as the experience I had with my therapist. Diana Gaga is nothing short of a wonderful listener, always knowing what to say, how to push me and help me to face challenges, whilst reminding me that I am safe. I cannot express just how grateful I am to her; I now feel ready to face things that come my way with an open mind and heart. Thank you thank you thank you Diana!
I received caring therapy all the time I was with Dr. Julian. I can't praise them enough and I even had extra sessions to help me.

Had a little trouble with the connection dropping out now and then half way through the session but my counsellor made up for all that. Other than the odd problem with the website there was no other problems and it was easy to use. My counsellor Laura Kirk was amazing and has helped me so much. I can't express how grateful I am to Laura and how easy it was to talk to her she is an excellent counselor.
I have C-PTSD from abuse and early childhood experiences. The abuse happened again in adulthood and it totally consumed my life. I stopped having relationships as the trauma was just too difficult to get past.
Peter my EMDR therapist was absolutely amazing and I now have a healthy relationship and I have resolved so much of my trauma based problems. We worked on the first, the worst and the current over my sessions and learning some grounding techniques and finding my “happy place”.
I haven’t lived with anyone for nearly 20 years and now I am planning my future with my partner which includes living together and maybe getting married one day.
I am so very grateful for the Dr Julian programme and to Peter. I certainly am a changed person now who knows that I am deserving of a happiness, a relationship and more.
I have just completed 12 sessions of CBT with Gareth Muir. Having attempted therapy many years ago, I was apprehensive about trying again but I'm so glad I did. I went into the sessions at the beginning feeling like an alien or freak and feeling very misunderstood and anxious. I ended those 12 sessions feeling seen, heard and valued as a human being for the first time in my 50 years. Gareth helped me see the world in a different way, in a better way. Whilst I had insight into my own behaviours, I didn't know how to address them and anything I'd tried previously, I'd failed at. Now, I feel like Gareth has given me the skills to address all of my negative self talk and doubts. Even if I'm still a square peg, I'm a square peg with the skills to calm my doubts when they arise. I'm now looking forward to conquering my fears and taking on the world. I can't say thank you enough and I hope to pay that forward somewhere along the line.
When I was referred to the Dr Julian app by the NHS I was open to trying it, but i really didn't think it would be as good as it was. The app is very easy to use.
My therapist Sven was wonderful, almost instantly I felt I could trust him. He was warm and kind, he helped me to understand my ocd "bully" and he helped me to find ways to beat the bully. I felt that I had someone on my team, giving me confidence and helping me to get my life back. I would recommend trying this sort of therapy to anyone, it really has helped me. Thank you Sven 😊
Peter was a great therapist who put me at ease straight away. He used EMDR to help me work through some awful childhood trauma. In the beginning I was sceptical about EMDR, but after a few appointments with Peter, I started to feel differently about the trauma. Eventually I stopped feeling the trauma was happening in the here and now and was able to put it in a place where it didn't affect me daily anymore. After some sessions I would cry and cry not knowing why, but it was almost like I could feel the old trauma leaving my body. We had to work through some memories for several weeks but Peter was always understanding and patient. I would recommend using Dr Julian as the therapy with Peter has changed my life and substantially reduced the PTSD symptoms. Thank you Peter.
My experience with Helen and then Sven was exceptionally good. The first type of therapy wasn’t working for me, so Helen was caring and reactive to that, but also honest, which was something I really valued. I was then passed to Sven. Sven was warm and welcoming, I instantly felt I could trust him, (not something I say lightly) he helped in many ways and even when our sessions were done I still felt like l had him in my corner, I just wish the NHS would have funded more sessions.
My therapist Charlotte was exceptional. She provided insight, guidance, understanding and crucially the skills to help me deal with my issues.
I've had therapy on a number of occasions and she was the best on every metric. I cannot recommend her enough
