Based in Seaton & Lyme Regis, we are an independent family owned holiday letting agency, offering apartments, cottages and houses in the Dorset & Devon area. We formed in 2025 and quickly grew our portfolio with property owners we have worked with previously who appreciate the personal service we offer to both them as home owners but also the guests who stay with us. We understand the importance of a family holiday, being such a valuable time for us all and ensure we are on hand to assist in any aspect of a holiday whether providing local guidance where needed or any support when staying, with one of our team also available out of hours if needed in an emergency. Ease of communication is very important to us, we offer via telephone, SMS, WhatsApp or email and monitor consistently and ensure we answer any key questions swiftly and precisely, in person with no automated, or AI responses. We have visited all our properties and therefore can assist however needed and being local will offer to visit whenever deemed necessary to assist. We offer secure bookings via our website www.dorsetanddevonholidaycottages.co.uk with payments taken through a secure third party, Holiday Rent Payment, accepting both Visa & Mastercard. We can also offer bank transfer if this is preferred. When booking customers can additionally pay for X-Cover holiday insurance which will provide detailed cover in terms of cancellation additional to the terms of our booking conditions. When booking with Dorset & Devon Holiday Cottages you can be assured your property has been checked, is well maintained and up to compliance regulations but also that you have someone on hand who knows the property, the area and is available to help you have a memorable holiday .

Great location and size but…
Great location and size
Not as clean as we expected. Lots of undusted shelves and floors etc.
Dishwasher unable to clean properly due to no salt/ rinse aid and probably needed filters cleaned. Cleaned windows on our arrival so that we could enjoy the views. Wasn’t expecting to need to do that. Knives in kitchen looked great, but all. very blunt. So. Therefore for the cost at over &1300 for 3 nights. Not a return property or company for our family.

It is disappointing to read the comments made and we will inspect the property on the next changeover and check all the points raised which have never been highlighted previously despite consistent bookings throughout the summer period. Had you contacted us during your stay we would have reacted to any of the issues raised although we fully appreciate all should be ready for your arrival, therefore apologies this holiday did not meet your expectations.

Solid booking agent. I had no problems with my holiday and so needed very little beyond the standard confirmation emails and on-line payment gateways etc. All very smooth. Information on the property I rented was good and nothing of note was missed or inaccurate. I would use these guys again if I wanted to rent another property for which they were the agent.

Great location of the apartment with…
Great location of the apartment with sea view from the balcony.
Easy access to the beach.
Nice and modern, well equipped house.
Parking was a bonus(fine for small cars).
Double beds are small, will be difficult for two average sized adults.
Also, apartment is on 2nd floor with no lift access.

Silver Shell- fantastic stay!
Silver Shell was spacious, modern and beautifully clean. The lounge overlooks the beach and is a gorgeous people and sea watching point. The flat has everything you need plus a helpful guide to the local cafes and restaurants. Location is great for the beach, mini arcade, crabbing, walks, park run on the beach (9am sat) and the tram. Bus stops outside to lyme Regis too. We will absolutely be back!

Dislikes where the beds were too uncomfortable
Dislikes where the windows were filthy, the beds might be to someone’s taste but they certainly were not to my taste. It was too soft and lumpy all at the same time. Good stuff, the pools were amazing the quietness of the location.

Lovely company to book with
Very easy to book with, and fair pricing. Thorough information about our stay was sent over almost straight away. The team were quick to reply to a query I sent over. I appreciated being able to make contact via Whatsapp for less urgent enquiries. The cottage was clean and well maintained, and the little welcome packages were much appreciated.

Stunning venue with a fabulous company
From booking and throughout our stay the staff at this company were fabulous - accommodating our requests in a skilled and polite manner. The accommodation was fabulous - beautifully maintained, very comfortable and with the most spectacular views!!

Great location
Great location. Less than 5 minutes to the sea, beach and harbour. A perfect place to start a fossil hunt.
A very responsive host- the problem with WiFi connection was resolved quickly. I do appreciate flexibility in both check-in and check-out.
The chalet had everything needed for a short stay.
It could have been a bit cleaner.

Our week in Seaton was great
Our week in Seaton was great. The flat was smart, beautifully furnished and had plenty of room for the five of us. Best of all was the view of the sea, only 50 yards away. Our only niggle was the sofas that had slippery cushions that delivered you to the floor if you weren’t careful. Otherwise, perfect. We would definitely go back.

Oakwood Lodge - Lovely Holiday
The lodge was as described and portrayed in the pictures on the website. It was clean and tidy when we got there and access arrangements were communicated clearly before arrival. We had a lovely time and the on site swimming pools were a hit with the grandchildren. The booking process was easy and we felt comfortable with the whole transaction
