When I signed up for dish

When I signed up for dish, I was promised a gift card. I’ve been trying for a year to get the gift card and now they tell me because I didn’t get it in the first 90 days that I’m no longer eligible. They said I didn’t validate the contract, but I’ve paid my bill every month for the last 12 months.
I’ve had to call twice to ask them to send me my bills in English. They continue to send them in Spanish when I don’t speak Spanish. While talking to the customer service representative today, she said oh yes, we sent you an email to let you know that you had to get your gift card. No, they didn’t unless they sent me it in Spanish and since I couldn’t read it it’s my fault I didn’t get the gift card. They continue to take away stations and raise the prices. Don’t be fooled you’re better off streaming from Peacock and Paramount and you’ll save a lot more money

After over 4 years of being a loyal…

After over 4 years of being a loyal DISH Network customer, they increased my bill from $133/month to $173/month. This is an unacceptable increase. When I contacted them, they said there was nothing they could do but offered me a $10 discount if i lock in for 24 months. This is an unacceptable offer seeing they my bill was increased $40/month and I've already been locked in for 24 months twice. I feel the customer service person was not friendly at all or interested in my comments or helping me.

No this is not going to help them . I paid my last bill which was in October and since we were moving , I told them to shut it off at the end of the month and it wasn't. I have since called them about another 5 0r 6 times and they never shut it off until November and but they still want me to pay for their stupidity. Their prices are to high for this kind of economy. And we ourselves disconnected the satellite from the TV because I didn't need anyone to do that for me and I wasn't waiting for them and I wasn't paying another months rent. WHAT PART OF SHUT IT OFF AT THE END OF THE MONTH DONT YOU UNDERSTAND. GET YOUR SHIT TOGATHER DISH. THESE PROBLEMS ARE WHY PEOPLE ARE LEAVING.

This company wants top dollar for TV…

This company wants top dollar for TV service where you get an average 6 minutes of commercials for 10 to 15 minutes worth of program viewing. $156 and change for a service that rarely changes the programming where it's often times difficult to find something worth watching.

I have been a Dish network customer for…

I have been a Dish network customer for many years. Every time my contract comes up I end up with less and less. The last time they cut my package down they took ESPN weeks later. When we called they told us it was not in our package anymore. I am getting tired of being ripped off when I have been such a loyal customer since they came to our area. But yet the price goes up every time. It seems all they are concerned with are new customers. Not the ones who have been with them.

Rip off! Careful when you have to cancel

Been a customer since moving to Oregon. I called today and was on hold for 2 hours & 14 minutes. I said I wanted to cancel. They offered a $50 discount if I continued with service but wanted to charge $50 for someone to take the dish off my house. I am now responsible to pay for removing & dropping of their equipment at an electronic disposal sight. Never would I recommend this company

My 86 year old was was scammed

My 86 year old mothers service was constantly interrupted. She called for service and the technician duped her into upgrading her equipment that he claimed was dated and needed to be changed out. That to me is a problem on their end, not my mom's. Remind you this is a 13 year old account that was kept current, ALWAYS. She was promised a lower monthly fee, i was there and witnessed the entire SCAM. After 8 months of bein charged in excess of $130 a month she complained that the bill was excessive and she cancelled the service only to be hit with a $340 cancellation fee that to date has been turned over for collections. I MADE THE CALL. ridiculous i might say. The people have no morals and are, to say the least blood thirsty and UNETHICAL. Please, steer your parents away from these cut-throat Bastards. I might add that my Dad passed away in 2018 and my Mom has been doing her best to manage the month to month expenses. She ended up with a Hopper plan. REALLY? 86 yrs. old and needs a Hopper plan??? CROOKS for sure.

THE WORST TECNICIAN EVER

THE WORST TECNICIAN EVER. CAME TO THE HOUSE AND HE DIDN'T HAVE HIS WORK ORDER. THE TIME WAS 8.30 TO 12 AND HE CAME AT 1.20. HE DIDN'T KNEW WHAT HE IS SUPPOSED TO DO.DON'T THEY CHECK THEIR SERVICE ORDER. I HAVE CABLE TOO AND WHEN HE CAME THE CABLE WAS WORKING AND THE TV WAS ON. NOW THE TV IS NOT WORKING AND HE LEFT. IT IS 31ST DEC WANT TO WATCH THE TV. TOOK 59 MINS TO REACH CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY HAVE PROMISED THAT A SERVICE PERSON WILL COME TOMORROW. I HAVE BEEN A DISH NETWORK CUSTOMER SINCE 1998. RIGHT NOW, IF THE TECNICIAN DOESN'T SHOW UP TOMMORROW ON TIME I AM LEAVING DISH. LOYAL CUSTOMERS GET THIS TREATMENT. BLOODY RIDICULOUS.

Dish used to have great customer service. Now it’s awful. I pay a boatload and dish says the nfl channel is free.
But when I called, the very unhelpful woman said I’d have to upgrade for another $50 per month. To watch two games. No other option
They’re awful

Beware very dissatisfied customer

We had Dish network for years at our vacation home. When the dish was installed it was installed on a tree stump. I called dish numerous times to have the dish removed from the tree stump and installed on a pole. They would never accommodate us when we were there I was always told it would be months out. Eventually the stump rotted to the point that the dish fell on it's face. I again called dish and once again they could not accommidate us until the day I called to cancel our service I was told they could accommidate me anytime we were there. Too late they were done. I was advised that they would send a box for our 2 receivers and remotes at a cost of $20. At this point I was willing to partneray the shipping just to get rid of them. I was told if they were not returned in within 2 weeks I would have to pay for them. I had to call twice the boxes never arrived for the equipment to be returned within the 2 week period. Finally received the box and returned the equipment. Received my final bill tried to pay it over the phone the automated system said my account was closed and there was a zero balance. Spoke to a customer service representative who said a payment was pending I said what how. I asked for a confirmation number to which I was told it will be emailed to you. I advised they did not have my email and was hung up on 3 times. Then I found out they sent me to a collection agency called Waypoint for my last bill to which I did not talk to. The next day I spoke to someone at dish (this time they were American) who told me that the payment was taken out of my checking account and gave me a confirmation number. I asked who processed the payment without my permission and why was I sent to collections I did not get an answer. I called Waypoint and asked the same thing they said they did not do it either. So.. I have few questions why would dish only accommide the dish situation when I cancelled, why were the boxes not here within the two week return period, why when I received the final bill was I sent to collections two days after I received it, why was I not able to pay the bill online or on the phone because they closed the account, and finally who withdrew the amount out of my checking account without speaking to me and getting my permission (I was not on autopay). Not that I would not have paid it. Be ware.

Dish Network - A waste of money in my opinion.

My Mother was a Dish Network customer. She originally agreed to a contract term and, when that term expired, started on a month to month basis. She contacted Dish in July, 2023 and asked for a second box (Joey) for a second TV in her home. She was 91 years-old and unfortunately didn't scrutinize every line on her bill. She expected the bill to go up a little because of the second box. After she passed away in November, 2024. We found that Dish had added a Latino package and a Kid's package to her account and had been charging her an additional $10.00 per month for each of the packages. She did not speak Spanish and at 91 years of age, had no use for a Kid's package. It was pretty obvious that the packages had been added to her account without her requesting them. When she passed away, I called Dish to cancel her account. I was told that I would need to provide the numbers located on the back of the boxes and, would need to send the equipment back to Dish. I made to 120 mile round trip to obtain the equipment and the numbers and then called Dish. Without me providing the serial numbers from the equipment, they advised that the equipment was obsolete and instructed me to dispose of the items. The person I spoke with advised that the first agent should have known that the equipment was obsolete and I should not have had to spend my time and expense to retrieve the equipment. I had just paid what I was told would be the final bill. A couple of weeks later, I received another, even higher bill. I called and spoke with an agent. He agreed that I did not owe the bill and said it pertained to the early termination charges. That is not what the bill indicated. When I asked about the added packages that I was certain had been added to her bill for a year and a half. I was told that they had been added after she called to request the "Joey" box. The agent said that there would be no refund because she was dead and, she should have scrutinized her bill and brought it up sooner. I feel like they took advantage of an elderly lady who had failing health and was dying. They then cost me time and money by demanding that I retrieve their equipment and provide information regarding the equipment that they were already aware of. Due to these circumstances and prior problems, I have had with Dish, I would not recommend their service to anyone. I would further suggest that, prior to "signing" up for the service, anyone should go on-line and read their contract. They certainly won't provide a paper copy of it for review prior to or at the time of installation. I found that, there are very few channels included in their packages worth watching and then, fifty percent of your time is spent watching adds. I purchased a ROKU tv and found that it provided much better shows and movies FREE.

Great Job Matthew at Dish TV

I have had a Dish TV account for 10 years on a cabin located in a remote area of Lousiana. Dish has occasionally reached out about reviewing our service, but I never did so,,, until today, when I called them. I was very fortunate to be transferred to MATTHEW who helped me better understand my current package and the cost breakdown. Best of all MATTHEW explained a simple way I could maintain my current service and reduce the monthly bill by a material amount. Thank you MATTHEW for taking the time to understand and focus on my needs and concerns. You did a fantastic job.

I cancelled my service and they stated…

I cancelled my service and they stated I would have tv until the end of my paid cycle. They cut off my service early, therefore not giving me my full paid service for the month.
Rip off and way too expensive of a plan for what they provide!
Waste of time and money.

Dish is too expensive

I'm giving this a one star. Because I don't really know much about the platform anymore. Because I haven't been using it in a while 5. We'll say it's way too Expensive They do give you Deals The cheapest one you can pay 60 something dollars for but that's still pretty expensive. I feel like if it were 40. Something dollars, then maybe. That's Still a lot compared to Netflix. But you would have access to a lot more content. I feel, but that's the problem. It's too expensive is y people are probably cutting it in going to Streaming or physical media because it's Getting to expense.

I am extremely disappointed with Dish…

I am extremely disappointed with Dish Network and their dishonest business practices. When I renewed, I was quoted a specific price for my service, but once the bill arrived, it was significantly higher than what was promised. I contacted customer service, expecting them to honor the pricing I was given, but they refused to take responsibility or make any adjustments.
The lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable. I chose Dish Network based on what I thought was a fair price, only to be misled. This type of bait-and-switch tactic feels predatory, and it’s clear that they prioritize profit over customer satisfaction.
I strongly urge anyone considering Dish Network to be cautious. Make sure to get everything in writing because, in my experience, they cannot be trusted to uphold their word. I regret signing up with them and will definitely be looking for other options as soon as possible.

BUYER BEWARE *SCAM*

I left my old TV provider and signed up for service with Dish. When signing up, I was offered a promo code "CARD300" telling me if I add this to my cart I'd be given a prepaid visa/mastercard for $250 after 30 days of active service and a few other conditions (which I met) It's now been almost 6 months of phone calls, chats etc and still no prepaid visa card. Every rep I talk to by phone gives me a different reason as to why. Every supervisor I've spoken to says they will "escalate it" but nothing happens. I've been told the notes are on my account and that the cases are closed with no explinations as to why. I've also been told they see the gift card on my account, but no value loaded on to it and it would be fixed within 7 days....but still nothing as of today. Very disappointed! I was affected by Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina and so I've been behind on this Dish bill and REFUSE to work with me at all. I've told them they can apply the visa card to my account at this point, still refuses. Will file with BBB and others as well.

Es una vergüenza que lleve un mes que falla el dispositivo y nadie hace nada

Me parece indignante que lleve un mes con problemas en el dispositivo y no venga un técnico a mi establecimiento tengo que parar el servicio porque no funciona
Llamo 40 veces y me dicen que ellos no pueden hacer más requiero VENGA INMEDIATAMENTE un técnico para arreglar el dispositivo esto es increíble que todo el mundo pase de todo
Por favor si algún particular ve esto le pudo que no se le ocurra COMPRAR ESTE DISPOSITIVO es una .........
