Dish Network is the WORST!!!

I called to cancel our service after 12 years. The person I talked too spent 25 minutes telling me I dont want to cancel. I said no thanks I just want to cancel. She kept telling me I did not want to cancel and I told her they had been raising my prices for years and we were getting charged $196 per month and she said we can cut that in half. I WAS PISSED!!! They admit they have been overcharging customers for years. It took 25 minutes and me screaming at het to finally get her to cancel my service. I will be charged $35 to return the receiver and part of the receiver. They have no local stores anymore. Never get a Dish TV or our life will be HELL.

100's of Free Wireless Channels

I had Dish for several years and the monthly bill just kept going up. I would call and complain and drop channels but slowly the bill would rise. I finally got T-Mobile wireless internet and with Plex having 300 channels, Xumo offering 250 and Pluto with over 200 All Free. My Biggest complaint with Dish is the local channels.. they charge High Prices to carry them.. Always fighting and dropping them then charging More for them because they had to renegotiate the fees yet these channels are broadcasted free. I bought a cheap antenna that looks like a cutting board. I was able to get 30 Air channels free. Why doesn't Dish just offer an external antenna and a way to switch to Air.. but if they did this they couldn't charge inflated prices. Also I was paying to rent my two DVRs.. when I called and Finally Canceled my Service they told me that they no longer sell my receivers and that I needed to recycle them and they didn't want them back... yet every month they charged me to rent them... Anything to make a buck. You can't even get timely repairs anymore unless you sign up for a monthly protection plan.. what a racket. I had an antenna professionally installed and now get 55 local channels for less than the cost of 3 months of Dish payments.

Do not waste your time

My husband and I had Dish for several years. Things would work and then not work even though we had new TV's in our home. We called DISH who said "we needed new equipment. When the man came to our house it was upsell city and "why don't you go with the better Package" ect. After all was said and done we were paying close to $200 for 2 people that are never home due to work schedules AND the equipment still did NOT work right. We decided to cancel are service and stream the movies, shows we liked and DISH turned around and charged us over $400 for equipment installation. Just a super bad experience all around and could NOT recommend to you at all. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your time.

Dish could not provide consistent service!

Dish could not provide consistent service. We tried with technical support many times. Requested to cancel contract due to non-performance. They still charged $524.00 after first 30 days of service after failing to perform. At the same time, I turned off autopay and removed payment to pay out the balance over a few months. Dish charged the full amount without authorization. This company is desperate for cash and cuts corners in which they cannot deliver consistent service. Also their User Interface is the worst. Ridiculously redundant and slow.

I just canceled my subscription with…

I just canceled my subscription with dish dur to the poor reception and that they ar3 not an honest company. When I first becam.a customer I was told that their signal has a 98% success rate. That is an absolute lie, it only takes a light rain shower or just a few clouds to disrupt the signal. Next when you try to call customer service there is always a wait. I have not made a call to them without having to wait at least 40 minutes. Then when I finally get through their customer service reps are extremely rude and not helpful at all. Lastly when I finally had enough and canceled my subscription l, I was told it would cost $60.00 for the three remaining months and $25.00 to ship back their equipment. We'll guess what, again I was lied to because they send me a bill for $80.00 because now I have 4 months on my contract and $75.00 to ship back the equipment. I cannot recommend this company and will warn you about doing any business with them. They are liers and theives

We’re quitting Dish Network \

We’re quitting Dish Network after subscribing to them for over 17 years. Over the last several years their service has become so unreliable that several times a week we suffered some sort of service interuption. After dozens and dozens of telephone calls and numerous service calls the service did not improve and continued to get worse Over the last 2 years every piece of equipment has been replaced. The last solution the Dish said we needed to do was to switch two of our Joeys from wired to wireless. This solved nothing and made the reliablity significantly worse. During the most recent Super Bowl we lost Dish service 9 times. Sometimes the service returned on its own after a few minutes, but most interruptions required resetting the connection between the Hooper and the Joeys. Two days in a row we were unable to get any signal at all. Our last service call technician could not find anything wrong. Right after he left we suffered a “Complete loss of Signal”.

When I called to cancel our service, Dish told me that because we switched to Wireless Joeys we would have to pay an Early Termination Fee (ETF) because switching to Wireless Joeys is an “upgrade” and incurs a 2 year contract. Dish did not tell me about this new contract when the telephone representative told me this would fix our problem nor when the technician installed the Joeys. When I complained about the ETF the cancellation team told me there was no way to forgive the ETF because we have a valid contract.

We do not have a valid contract. Dish Network is not fulfilling their fundamental requirement to provide reliable service. Therefore, the contract is nul and void.

Ironically, when we return the equipment to Dish Network we have to return everything except the Wireless Joeys. These valuable upgrades are of no value to Dish Network.

Because we don’t have a valid contract there should be no Early Termination Fee.

Nothing but poor service

Nothing but poor service. Forget about talking to a service rep until you say that you wish to cancel. Then you speak with a uber salesperson who will attempt to upsell you and take on a lengthy contract for a bit lower price.

EVERYTHING IS WRONG WITH DISH! THEY ARE HORRENDOUS!

What went wrong? More like what went right! Dish has the worst customer service on the planet at this point. Their take over by some other company has made them worse than ever. And the silly free streaming channels they gave everyone and acted like it was a big deal, well, those channels rarely work and we've had to waste considerable time calling the incompetent customer service people who know absolutely NOTHING! Also, after a certain hour (late at night) our Joey was going out (failing) and we unplugged, reset, unplugged and went through 100 steps! Still didn't work and yet the incompetent people at Dish wanted us to keep going through this nonsense. They finally sent someone out to our house. The Joey was changed to a new one (the old one was only 2-1/2 years old) and then other problems began like the streaming issues. This is the WORST COMPANY ON THE PLANET WITH THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!

DISH is THE WORST

DISH is THE WORST. I took my service off "pause" and they added a package without my consent. I happened to see it on my bill (halfway through the billing period!) and they would only credit me for the days unused - which haven't occurred yet IRT. And you have to PAY EXTRA to get CBS - a major network -?? Customer service has been well-trained to say "I"m so sorry, I do understand..." but they they can do NOTHING to remedy the situation. DISH is a JOKE!! Very, very frustrating

STAY AWAY FROM DISH NETWORK

STAY AWAY FROM DISH NETWORK. No one is willing to help me with an issue that Dish admits is their issue. It has been almost 3 months since trying to solve my issue and they either keep throwing it back at me or they will review with tech support and get back to me, which never happens. All they seem to be interested in is their high price to watch TV...

Awful dish lies about services and people get lousy service is found out i got only pay in advance account for service no payment extentions nothing it's a prepaid service they lie to.rip off money huh its not even satellite service it's prepaid they give people say bad credit score get only this people with very good scores get more service with dish this needs to be filed against them liars i think it's a scam to rip off there is no satellite it's prepaid in advance cheated and steal money BBB will be notified about it

Speak with rep.

I was trying to sign in about my bill that they were going to start billing me. So the email told me I had to sign in to manage my account. They make it so difficult, so I had to call them so I could cancel it verbally and what bucks is every time I get a rep. They can hardly speak English and you have to keep asking them WHAT DID YOU OR CAN YOU REPEAT IT. Omg if I didn't just sign-up with dish I would cancel dish in a New York second. Omg higher people that can speak English. Thanks jim grant

Beware of Canceling. …

Beware of Canceling .Was a customer over 20 yrs. Times got tough so we canceled. Took 5 calls and a long text chat to achieve that! Was told that no equipment was needed back and to take it to a recycling center. Verified several times that it was OK to toss luckily I didn't because a few days after they sent a email wanting it back! Called in again, they said no equipment fee would be charged as long as it was returned and the "box fee" would be removed once all was returned. Well once again untrue! They said it is non refundable. Way to send off a long time and to be sure not to return customer!

Estafadores

Estafadores. No tienen un departamento de calidad, simplemente cuando tienes algún problema hay solo dos opciones: la "inteligencia artificial" en WhatsApp, que parece tener retraso mental, o pasarte media hora en la línea telefónica para que te respondan de un call center y te dejen más frustración de la que ya tenías. Desde que lo contraté no hay día que no falle el servicio. Llame para hacer la cancelación, pero resulta que debo pagar... O sea, dan un pésimo servicio y además no puedo cancelar? El colmo fue hoy, que hice un pago y note que había pagado de más y cuando les llamé me dicen que hubo un ajuste sobre el que nunca me avisaron. Les aconsejo buscar otra compañía y jamas caer con estos rateros inútiles.

I'm suppose to get A Senior Discount they just keep going up on my bill & don't speak english

I'm suppose to get A Senior Discount. My bill started out at $80 then went up to $98 then $112 Lastly $163. I am on auto pay and they don't get approval to take more out of your account either, which shouldn't be LEGAL!! Every time I call I get put on hold FOREVER & 90% OF THE TiME GET SOMEONE THAT CAN'T SPEAK ENGLiSH & IF THEY CAN'T HELP YOU THEY JUST HANG UP ON YOU!! ANYONE KNOW WHO TO CONTACT ABOUT THIS?

During the Supetbowl our Dish network…

During the Supetbowl our Dish network kept loosing the signal like every 15-20 minutes!!!
We had to restart our system at least 20 times during the duration of the game. I contacted customer service to find out if there were issues with the signal In our area, and was told no this is the first they heard of a problem. I was told it must be something with the box on my end. The units in my home were upgraded and installed within the last 60 days, so i was not convinced this was the issue. The customer service person wanted to initiate a trouble shooting session and I simply said I’m trying to watch the Super Bowl and ended the call. The loss of signal and restart of the network continued throughout the game and afterwards.
