These guys are great
These guys are great! They were recommended to me by a CCTV installer friend who has been using them for many years. They asked what kind of property the CCTV was for, what the budget was, etc., and put together a package for me. I checked the price on a like-for-like basis and it was the best price I was offered. My installer friend came and fitted everything and the result is fantastic. I highly recommend this company.

Due to your exceptionally poor customer service, refusal to resolve this matter fairly, and unwarranted threats of legal action against me, I am now officially initiating a formal bank chargeback to recover my funds.
Let this letter also serve as a clear warning to future buyers regarding the misleading and deceptive specifications advertised by your company:
The Product: Hikvision iDS-7204HQHI-M1/XT 4 Channel AcuSense H.265.
The Issue: This is not a true 3K unit as advertised. It is a "3K-Lite" unit, which does not output true 3K resolution. Selling this item under the guise of a standard 3K unit is misleading to consumers.
Rather than addressing my legitimate concerns and processing a straightforward return for a misrepresented product, your company chose to threaten me with court action. Since you have welcomed taking this matter further, I will gladly let my bank, trading standards, and relevant consumer protection agencies handle the dispute.
Do not contact me further except to confirm the processing of my refund. Otherwise, all future correspondence will be handled directly through my bank's fraud and chargeback department.

The item was advertised prominently in the main product title as a "Hikvision iDS-7204HQHI-M1/XT 4 Channel 3K AcuSense CCTV DVR
However, upon receiving the product and verifying the specifications with the actual manufacturer, Hikvision, it has been confirmed that this is fundamentally a 1080p DVR that merely uses software to upscale the video to "3K Lite." Upscaling is not native resolution, and selling a 1080p device under the guise of a native 3K resolution is misleading and constitutes false advertising.
To remove any doubt, I contacted the manufacturer (Hikvision) directly. Their official product specification for this exact model (iDS-7204HQHI-M1/XT) explicitly states:
"4-ch 1080p 1U H.265 AcuSense DVR"
Encoding ability up to 3K/5MP Lite @ 12 fps
Hikvision has confirmed that this is a 1080p device, not a true 3K system as your listing deceptively claimed. The manufacturer itself supports my claim that the advertisement is misleading.
By advertising a 1080p upscaled device as a 3K system in the main title, your company has engaged in deceptive trade practices and misrepresentation to induce a sale.

Thank you for your review. However, we need to correct several points for the benefit of anyone reading it.
The claim that the "3K Lite" specification was concealed is incorrect. Our product page clearly states "UP TO 3K / 5MP Lite Recording" in the product description, has a dedicated section headed "3K / 5MP Lite Recording", and also lists "Up to 3K / 5MP Lite" in the technical specifications.
We are also making a formal complaint to the Head of the Hikvision Support Team regarding a member of their staff who, without checking the specification on our website, accepted the customer's claim that we had hidden the term "3K Lite" in the displayed specification.
The customer subsequently requested that we replace the equipment with a higher-specification 4K / 8MP system as a remedy. We explained that we cannot provide a free upgrade to a higher-specification system simply because a customer makes unfounded claims and decides that we should supply a more expensive system at no extra cost.
Most importantly, we did NOT refuse the customer a return. The customer was still within the applicable 30-day period and was offered the opportunity to return the equipment so that the matter could be dealt with in accordance with his statutory rights.
What we declined was the request for a FREE upgrade to a higher-specification and significantly more expensive 4K / 8MP system.
We take genuine complaints seriously and remain prepared to deal with this matter properly. However, we strongly reject the suggestion that the "3K Lite" specification was hidden on our website or that we refused to accept a legitimate return.
The product specification remains publicly available on our website for anyone wishing to verify this information for themselves. Thank you for taking the time to read this explanation.
