Items not delivered, no refund, no customer service

I’ve had a very similar (bad) experience to many other people. I ordered some hawk stone lager and a bottle of rum. It was being sent through DPD but then it just said the delivery had failed as it was perishable and no longer could be delivered. I can only assume that perhaps something had become broken in transit?

No one has confirmed this of course because delivery companies won’t give details - they just refer you back to the sender. The farm shop have ignored five emails, two attempts to contact them via their website and several instagram messages. Fortunately 15 days after a product has failed to arrive you can apply through your bank for a direct debit refund, which they better believe I will be doing. They are out of their mind if they think I’m just going to roll over and let them keep £55 of my money!

I will not be buying from their shop ever again, very disappointed.

No customer service

Sadly my Hawkstone was broken on delivery with glass all over the remaining bottles. I’ve emailed 4 times in the last week with no response. I love Jeremy & Lisa, but online shopping is not a good experience and sadly I won’t be purchasing from them again.

Do not order online!! Poor quality and no way of communicating if things go wrong!

I have to agree with what lots of others are saying, for such a popular shop they need better ways of communication, it’s awful that you can’t ring and speak to someone.
Sadly I made an order of some beer and T-shirts for a birthday, they were delivered, not packaged well in a huge box with lots of room to fly around in transit and of course this meant that they arrived at my door smashed to bits, beer everywhere soaked through the box, the T-shirts are covered in glass and beer, I’ve emailed and emailed with no response and by the looks of these reviews there is a slim chance that I’ll get an communication back.
With the price you pay for these products and let’s be honest they are stupidly over priced for what they are I’d expect to have better ways of communication, I wouldn’t recommend, if you got to buy something and want to waste money go to the shop. Do not order online because if it goes wrong you got no way of sorting it out

Jeremy, p@ss up in brewery springs to mind

I have joined the many many other customers that have been let down by the shockingly poor service from this business. Ordered a case of beer a month in advance of my friends birthday. A month has expired and still no beer. It’s not exactly the cheapest of shops! Jeremy you may make a fantastic TV program but you need to seriously look at your distribution model. This is my second and last purchase from Diddly Squat farm shop. Considering the premium prices, you could at least get an inbred local to sit on a customer service phone! For Christ sake look at your reviews.

No phone number

No phone number. Same as other people, I ordered a case of beer for my husbands birthday, and fedex claim that I’ve rejected it and it’s now sat at their warehouse days later. No sign of delivery. I can only email them and they are not responding. Very annoying as I paid for fast delivery, and now have to go out and buy something else.

Trading on the Clarkson name

The ordering process was really simple and easy, pack of hawkstone lager and a jar of the chilli mayo. Perfect! 11th April. (That's important) 

I was rather egar to try the lager so I even paid the extra for next day delivery. 

This is where things started to go wrong. 

FedEx picked up the parcel the next morning and it was tracked to there depo in Swindon, where it stayed. Didn't move. At all. I contacted FedEx who informed me that the parcel had been rejected by them due to lack of paperwork and oddly that it hadn't been labelled dangerous goods.. yeah I have no idea. 

So i contacted diddly squat the only way you can via email. Now thats not a huge problem but they are clearly so busy it took two days to get a replay. So if I was asked a question it was another two days for a reply, so it was finally agreed a new order would be sent out to me. Perfect. Which was delivered yesterday (24th April) by evri. 

Excellent. Opened up the box to see the 12 pack of hawkstone lager, lovely! But no chilli mayo. I have since emailed them again and just asked for a full refund for the missing items as I can't go through this process again, it's now been two days and the reply is I need to send a photo of the box and contents to them as that proves I'm not lying? Somehow. I have literally given up now, I can't be bothered with this nonsense. Although helpful ish the customer service is awful. 

Personally this has been a complete waste of time and money. The beer isn't bad but there is other perfectly good beer available on the high street, this might have the Clarkson name but I won't be returning. 
Update - the mayo that was missed off my order has been refunded. Still wouldn't shop here again.

Do not use the online shop!!

Do not buy from the online farm shop. I ordered my dad the famous beer for his birthday. I paid for 48 hour delivery service. The courier service was FedEx.
FedEx had to return the item to the sender as the dangerous goods paperwork was incomplete. (Glass bottles)
I’ve had zero communication from the farm.
I’ve sent 4 emails! Very disappointing. Probably won’t get a refund or a response. Very poor service!

What an absolute nonsense. Car park a disgrace & an attitude of put a Diddly squat label on it & someone will buy it. Buy an empty milk bottle for £6.10 & then pay £1.50 to have milk put in it !!! I doubt there are any repeat customers. In an area of wonderful villages & shops this is a blight. Diddly squat has Diddly squat

Pot holes.

Having visited the farm shop today I couldn't believe the state of the car park, Lots and lots of pot holes very big ones. I cannot believe Jeremy is unhappy with pot holes in our roads when his car park is in such a state.

You do get what you pay for. Who goes to Diddly Squat not expecting country rates?
We bought two cases of beer no I won't pay £50 for 3 books.
However if you go because you've watched the show you know your paying for the Eco friendly ethos of the Farm. Jeremy highlights throughout all shows the costs of organic farming both to himself and the Environment.
Caleb should be farm Manager so occasional errors are reduced
but he bought us to an as yet unvisited area of England and am glad we Did.

Woeful customer service

Ordered from online store weeks ago, it hasn't arrived. Have contacted Diddly Squat 3 times and carrier twice but have not received a response. Will now have to seek refund from the bank due to complete lack of information

Online order didn’t arrive

6.5 weeks waiting for a T-shirt from online shop. Fobbed off by customer service that it is being sorted. Wish i had read these reviews and wouldn’t have bothered. Now the fight to get my money back and to think of another Christmas present.

Great online service.

Fantastic online service, order placed, was warned of a potential delay at the start due to the volume of orders, in spite of this, my order arrived 3 days later and was perfect.

Highly recommended

We visited yesterday and absolutely loved Diddly Squat Farm! The shop has lots of different produce. We then had a cider in the barn, Hawkstone Cider is delicious! There was a great vibe, will definitely go again!

Beware of diddly squat farm shop

Beware of diddly squat farm shop! Charging different prices in the lambing barn to whats stated on the website!
Travel cup is £16 on the website just been charged £21 and when I questioned the price difference was told 'oh its different online and there's nothing I can do about it' absolutely shocking £5 difference!! Beware!!

We've had a fabulous visit. There is a serenity and happy feeling that we enjoyed and shared with other customers and staff.
The food and beer were delicious and promptly served. Queues moved quickly and efficiently. Even the shop queue, which appears to be long, wasn't so long in terms of time.
We'll enjoy our purchases and cherish our memories.

We had a great experience at Diddly Squat,
Is it expensive? Yes
Is it worth it? Definitely
You get what you pay for, the produce, beer and food are all top quality. The sausage sandwich in the cafe was incredible, top quality sausage on a brioche bun.
Jeremy, Lisa and their team have generated dozens and dozens of local jobs and helped numerous locals to sell their produce at a cost that will help sustain their farms and businesses.
I and all my family bought all sorts of things and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Keep up the good work.
