Diamonds are forever...
I have been with Diamond now for nearly 7 years and have only had good experiences. When I hit another vehicle and called up the customer service was nothing but helpful and supportive to me despite myself being at fault. When I recently bought a new car and rang to change my policy the servucr I received was again fantastic, they went above and beyond. Not the cheapest insurance I could get, but 100% worth the pennies, I'm sure I'll stick with them for years to come.

Renewal offer too expensive
Today I received an email with a renewal offer which was more expensive than the current one...even though I had no incident no claim the whole time I was with them. When I called them to cancel the auto-renewal, they managed to bring the cost down by 200£...unfortunately it wasn't still not enough to match the quote I received from competitor (230£ cheaper than revised offer...430£ from original!) so I ended up cancelling the contract anyway. Why would you send such overpriced offers and lose the trust of your customers while you could have just sent a genuine offer aligned with the market ? Your loss

Been with Diamond for 5 years for my car insurance & I have never had any issues. It’s easy to update any details through the portal yourself if needed, easy to get into contact with customer service & I have always received great support from their team whenever I have called. Their staff are really polite & helpful. My renewal quotes are usually higher than the previous year BUT after a quick call, they have matched a quotation from elsewhere or given me discount to ensure I am paying less the next year. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, all customers received a £25 refund earlier this year which I think was a fab gesture - there was no need to apply, I just received an email & the money was in my bank account within a few weeks. I would highly recommend this insurer.
Great service from Diamond
Great service from Diamond, cheapest insurance by miles on a comparison website. Simple to set up my account etc online with several follow up emails making sure everything was fine and I had my documents etc. Very happy so far.
Renewal price is a joke!!
My insurance renewal was £800 compared to £701 on the previous year. Shopped around, found a quote for £370 with direct line. So i won't be going with Diamond.
A massive NO! They don't care about customers
Disgrace. A false claim has been made against my car, which no one at the company seems to be in a rush to clarify. Incident apparently took place in England and I live in Scotland. Not only did it took hours to get someone to talk to, they don't seem to believe me, they've already taken the liberty to reduce my no claim bonus because my policy was due to renew in a week. Coincidence? I don't think so. Avoid at all cost. I have been a customer for 4 years and never made a claim, and they can't be bothered clearing my name because some idiot reported my car without even going to the police. Total scam, avoid!
Contacted Diamond
Contacted Diamond, after searching Compare the Market.com. Diamond was up amongst the cheapest quotes & having used them in the past, decided to take up on their quotation. Whist speaking to their representative, i was asked if I had any other cars in my household. As I have, I decided to commit myself.
This involved paying now for my requested policy & paying later, when the other vehicle is due for renewal.
All has worked out well, due in part to a very helpful representative.

Stayed with Diamond for a few years- they were the first insurer I had. Great service, good advisors, working online portal... honestly if they stayed competitive I would have continued. I’d have no issues going back to them in future
Online application/Chat Service
I applied online to Diamond about a new policy as my car insurance was renewing. They advised they couldn't process the application due to my Admiral policy still being current until a few days later. As Admiral are their sister company they put me through to someone who set up a cancelation of my admiral policy for the correct date and then someone else who set me up with a new policy with Diamond. Really great service from all involved.
Simply awesome
Simply awesome. Great online experience, did encounter an issue but swiftly resolved by the team at the other end of the telephone which is non existent in some other insurance providers these days. Would use them again without a second thought.

Disgusting
Charging me an extortionate amount of money that I could no longer afford to pay due to circumstances changing with covid, found a quote with diamond for over £100 cheaper than what they were already charging me, was told I could take out the policy and they’d switch it over free of charge - went back onto live chat the next day to find out it was not at all free of charge to change my policy to a new one with Diamond, they would charge me £93 for it! When I was told the day before to cancel my policy outright it would only be £55? Genuinely the worst customer service I’ve ever received, this is an ongoing issue but I feel grossly overcharged and not at all like a valued customer. Some of the live chat agents are rude and ignore the questions you ask. Once this issue is resolved and my policy runs out I will never ever use diamond again and I will advise all family and friends the same.

Diamond is an absolute joke!! I urge anyone considering to take insurance out with them to seriously reconsider. I recently reversed into another car at a very slow speed. There was absolutely no damage to my car or theirs. I offered my insurance details of the guy felt his paintwork had a scratch, which I could understand even thought there was NO DAMAGE AT ALL. I got a letter to day the claim had closed and I assumed it was filed but no claim made. Then I discovered the cost of the claim was over £3000!!!!!! What the actual!! They can’t give me any information about why it cost that much and they felt this was reasonable. The other party it to blame majorly here but diamond didn’t even try to get information about the incident to warrant that amount of money. I tried to write a strong word to sum up at the end but it wouldn’t allow it!

Very good customer service
It was tricky correcting mistakes I’d made on the website. However when I called up it was simple to fix and the first lady I spoke to was very helpful. Laura gave the best customer service I’ve ever received and made buying my first car insurance super simple and straightforward, thanks Laura!
Not great!
Not great. I had a claim against me from 2019 and I didn't find out until yesterday despite liaising with them several times since and them telling me it had all been resolved and there wasn't a claim against me, so I'd assumed it had been dropped. Then, after spending 2 hours on hold when trying to renew my insurance, the woman on the phone was rude to me and then they tried to charge me twice for a cancellation fee, telling me I had an outstanding balance which I had already paid. I insisted I already paid and when they checked it, I had paid but they were refusing to renew my insurance until I had paid this. They were going to happily charge me twice! Stressful.
