The worst customer agent
I have been with Diamond for the last 7 years, I send an automated email every year for a high price renewal but after calling customer support I get a normal quote like other providers but this year the agent customer support was not interested in helping simply did not even go through the policy did not try anything. totally disinterested. Very sad very disappointed. If I can give 0 stars I would, just because of that agent...
This year was over £200 more than the previous year, unbelievable, I asked to cancel the policy and he did it straight away with no interest in helping, just like the agents in previous years, I'm shocked 😯..
useless
useless. we sanded the garage floor, swept, hoovered and wiped with a damp cloth. this was left for a whole day before we applied the first coat with a roller. a day was left again for the second coat, a further day for the final coat and then left for 3 days whilst we went away, allowing it to go hard (allegedly). we drove back into the garage and reversed out the next day with the paint coming off. we then walked across pushing our grand-daughters pram across it and again the paint came loose. having spent lots of money, but most importantly the time it took us to find that it is all coming up in patches now. please do not buy this as we now have a massive job clearing the patches that are coming up and having to find a company that has a product that does what it says on the can.
Post Claim Insurance Hike
Struggling to understand the c. 400% price hike in my renewal offer. Did make a claim in Jan 2023 for flood damage, but clearly my protected no-claims bonus means nothing. Diamond clearly want to off-load me as a customer otherwise an explanation of the increase from £694 to £2,781 would be given.

Awful, spent an hour doing a quote and couldn't even give me one.
Avoid
Renewal quote this year was 85% higher with no changes to policy so I cancelled. Avoid.
Dreadful experience, cover and service…
Appalling service throughout a recent claim. Unresponsive, never proactive, misleading and all round dreadful. They are good when taking your money and the Welsh based team are effective and pleasant when taking your order. When you need a claim it was awful. Car was eventually written off with no inspection as they couldn’t find anyone in their network to respond. Admiral had credit issues with their suppliers who wouldn’t respond. Never got a temporary car during the process despite it being part of my cover. It took months to resolve and they left me with no car.
Simply put I’d avoid and I will be moving from Diamond when my renewal is due in August.
Beware of this car insurance company
I've been with this DIAMOND insurance company for nine years. Nine years without an accident, it was time for another renewal of the insurance policy. The sudden price jumped £200 over the previous year for no reason at all. From 344£ to 544£ 🤯🤬😮. After making a phone call to the company, the consultant could not tell why?! Usually charging the client for costs without good reason. Things like that are out of my mind. I called again and canceled my insurance. I do not recommend at all!

Not even one star
Not even one star! The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Car accident 6 months ago, no fault of mine. Diamond wrote the car off immediately without seeing it and other party who is with Admiral, which Diamond is part of their group, accepted full responsibility. For six months I have tried to speak to the right department, in endless loops, no call backs, no response to my formal complaint. When I do eventually get through after long holds, the case needs to be re-read, then find I'm speaking to the wrong person again, who then puts me to another call handler. How can it take more than 6 months to get absolutely nowhere with a claim, especially when full liability was accepted by the other party and Diamond wrote off my car. Very stressful dealing with them. Individual call handlers themselves are nice enough, but the whole process is completely useless. Diamond should be ashamed. I have wasted hours trying to get my claim sorted and still not yet resolved. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Now taking complaint on to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

They proceed with automatic renewals of previous policies despite not being able to obtain a payment from you and then proceed to demand renewal and cancellation fees despite having no permission from you to renew insurance-then demand monies with menace through a credit agency! legalised theft !-all other insurers i have dealt with are fair and resonable-AVOID
Experience with diamond
Misled me from the start of my hit and run claim that was not my fault. Knowing I had no dash cam, cctv or photos, they kept asking for evidence (even admiral law) and I gave the same account. “Unsuccessful” in getting cctv, I am left with a 4K insurance quote and at renewal, they refused to even quote me. What a joke! Even though it was put as non fault.
To add insult to injury, I also had my catalytic converter stolen in January 2022,3 months after buying my car, they still put it as my fault even though it was a theft and it wasn’t my fault.
Response to both of my claims: we had to get our money back somewhere / somehow. I DO NOT TRUST DIAMOND AS FAR AS I CAN THROW THEM. DO NOT (for the love of god) INSURE YOUR VEHICLE WITH DIAMOND!!!!
Terrible customer service
I was in a car accident which wasn’t my fault! They have wrote my car off and since doing that they are not interested in the slightest. No empathy no nothing. Disgusting to say how long I have been with diamond.
Constantly getting passed from pillow to post. “No sorry you are through to the wrong department”.
Tried to make a complaint and they said you can’t talk to the complaint teams they will be in contact with you. Received an email yesterday sorry we have done everything and a link to the financial ombudsman.
Do not recommend.
Avoid at all costs!
I’ve been with this company for 11 years and they’ve raked up their prices every year. I had an accident that wasn’t my fault last year and their legal team have been appalling!
After being quoted double for my renewal, they were very unhelpful and would only offer £20 off per month, which is still more than double most of their competitors.
Avoid like the plague! You don’t get what you pay for from this company!

If I could give no stars I would. They are the WORST, money grabbing horrific company.
I’ve been a loyal customer for 8+ years, they’ve whacked me with £100+ cancellation charge based on god knows what. Some sort of magical unicorn charge. Basic spineless money grabbing corporation. Should be shut down. AVOID THEM.
Expensive and they don’t care about loyal customers
My partner and I have multi car cover. Our renewal came through, mine had only gone up a little but my partner’s had doubled, despite having 10 years no claims! Called diamond to seee if they could get it down, as have been a customer for years. The all handler said the price rise was due to inflation…. But we have received cheaper quotes on comparison websites! The call handler reluctantly looked and managed to get it down a bit but was still nowhere near a competitive price. The call handler was actually quite rude. We have ended up cancelling and going we LV who is half the price and we very nice to talk too in the phone. It’s a shame diamond don’t try to retain customers, and loyalty means nothing to them. Why not offer a fair renewal quote to begin with? One extra star because we got our proof of no claims quickly when we cancelled.

Tried to automatically renew nearly double the price of the previous years policy, have absolutely annoyed a long standing customer, who will no longer return and tell everyone to avoid like the plague....

A 3rd partie drove into back of my car at force. damaging my bumper.
Diamond sent my car to be repaired at Appollo, thwy did a rubbish repair job. we asked them to look at it and fix it properly. my car had got forgotten about , I had no updates at all. I called up the company and they appologised had said the guy dealing with it was not working for the company anymore.
We got the car back second time, they didnt even fix the bonnet it look at it. they sent the car back with mechanical faults and flat tyre. We called diamond and said our car had developed problems while in the care of the body shop they choose .
they then told us to take it to a garage of our choice. We chose bmw main dealer.
Diamond took a very long time with getting back to us, no updates at all , we kept chasing with phone calls , advisors saying someone would call us back , never do. nearly a year and they have offered compensation for the mechanical work but no mention of compensation for the actual bumper that is still is not right. what is the point of insurance!!
We have lossed out alot on our once immaculate car!

Recent customer service excellent
I had to make a recent claim about a hit and run accident which wrote off my car. They told me they have a new system and I was able to submit the claim online. The process was straight forward and fully comprehensive. When I had a query, I rang them up expecting to be on hold for hours, and I was speaking to a human in under ten minutes. They were really helpful and we're able to resolve all issues I had. They arranged for my car to be collected the same day. I can check the status of my claim online.
I know you hope to never have to claim, but I feel reassured with diamond that I was delt with quickly and the process was very easy. I would definitely buy insurance with them again and would recommend them. I found their customer service to be excellent
Truly horrific customer service
Truly horrific customer service. Over several weeks I've tried to get information on my car claim and that of the person's car I damaged. Constantly passed around departments where they tell me they can't help me but will pass me on to someone who can who it turns out can't. Constantly trapped in a loop trying to find some information on how to get my car fixed.
