I sold a mobile phone to webuyanyphone and accepted a free trial for some sort of anti virus software. Then I discovered that a direct debit had been set up from Cybersentry. At no point did I give my bank details to cybersentry or receive any correspondence to them .

Total scam.

A direct debit was set up without my consent using my details from my enquiry with webuyanyphone. Definitely avoid webuyanyphone!!

Avoid ! This company has set up a direct debit without my consent . Linked to we buy buy any phone . You give them bank details send off the item they then check and say item is faulty . I requested they sent back my item and then a month later I get a direct debit set up on my account. Absolute fraud this company and we buy any phone should be shut down

Set up a direct debit on my account without my permission. No idea where they got my bank details from but it looks like from We Buy Any Phone. I will not be using this company again. Scammers!

As per all other posts, this is an absloute scam company who are owned by the same people as webuyanyphone. Do not use either company. They took money from my account without authorisation. We sent a phone to webuyanyphone, were then offered a lot less than they offered online so I paid to have the phone returned. They then took a direct debit under Cybersentry. Appalling.

Set up DD on my bank account without my knowledge. They gained my banking info as an affiliate compoany to WeBuyAnyPhone. When challenged, they maintained that I had opted in to their subscription, which I absolutely did not. They could not provide a screenshot which showed me giving my consent, because I NEVER DID SO.
Avoid at all costs!

Took money out of my account without any knowledge or permission. Only noticed when my bank made me aware they tried to set up a direct debit out of my account!

I’m really annoyed so in July I got a quote for my sons old iPhone I put in all my details for payment but then decided after reading the reviews I’d go with another company who paid me exactly what they said they would so thought no more of it. Any way a month on and I get a message from my bank saying I’ve been charged a direct debit that’s been set up for a cybersentry global, I’ve no idea what this is so tell my bank they report them and refund me but when I google it they also own/work with we buy any phone so they have taken my details to set up a £6.95 direct debit for something I’ve never even seen, asked for or wanted?!!! That’s disgusting of this common company. It’s been reported to the ombudsman too. Do not use this company they steal from you too!
