Costco online service sucks
My situation about a missing item from a shipment has not been resolved and it's been 21 days (ordered online last Sept 10th, unresolved until today Oct. 1st). I did what I had to do, followed up, spoke to different representatives or agents (12 phone calls). I was told a replacement will be shipped, check your email for a confirmation, it will take 2 business, if nothing call us back. And this evening when I called and spoke to another Costco representive or agent, I was told to reach out to their investigations department. I am not a Costco member. My question is --- Is this how Costco handles a case of a non-member? Further question --- Am I making up this situation that one of the items I purchased was missing that's why you Costco needs to investigate? With this kind of experience, I would have given a zero star rate if there is.
Disorganised chaos!

We ordered two racks 01/07/24, delivery took a month 31/07/24. Only one of the two racks arrived. Still not received the second annd it’s 27/09/24. We are getting generic emails back from customer services but no action.
It’s a painfully slow progress. Extremely poor customer support. I would not recommend a purchase from Costco as you may never receive what you purchased and getting your money back will take an eternity at this rate.

Unfortunately I am not able to give 0 stars. Which is a pity since dealing with costco online has been the most miserable online transaction ever.
I ordered a TV with came with a promotion on a soundbar. The soundbar arrived within days but the TV never came. Eventually (like after nearly 2 weeks) the courier company arranged a delivery slot but never showed. In the meantime I'd got sick of waiting and got a TV from elsewhere and so intended to simply return the TV when it arrived.
Given the TV hadn't showed, I contacted them and they cancelled the order, telling me to return the soundbar to store and the rest would be refunded on my CC.
2 weeks later no refund so I contacted them again (once again waiting for around 30 mins on hold). I was assured a refund would be forthcoming and the operator even copied me in on an email sent their accounts people.
1 week later still no refund. Another call, this time to be told that the items should have been returned together, to store. Told me a refund would be forthcoming, and when asked to copy me in on (yet) another email was told that they were not allowed to do that. I pointed out the last operator copying me in.
In summary, I'm going try for a section 75 refund from the CC company. It seems clear that Costo online employ operators who are totally untrained and unprofessional, simply dispensing random and misleading advice. I am still owed best part of 1000 UKP over this lot, and I'm starting to lose hope of ever seeing it. Do yourself a favour and AVOID AT ALL COST.
I'll probably cancel my store membership over this too.
Ordered a new iPhone to be delivered…
Ordered a new iPhone to be delivered today which I have waited in for. No delivery. At 10.30pm last night I received an email from Costco and Parcel force to say item has been shipped and parcel force to deliver today. Nothing delivered and no tracking updates on parcelforce tracking website either just blank. Contacted Costco via webchat and their reply was:-
please ignore that email, the item has not been scanned in with them yet, it must have been due today but as the item is not received uet it wont be
this will be delivered over the weekend or latest monday
To add to it I went to the local post office who advised that parcel force don’t send emails! Also doubt it will be delivered!
So it’s very odd to say the least. My order says shipped on Costco but now they say its not.
I have reported to PayPal as that was my payment method. Just feel an odd and wondering somewhere along the line if it’s gone walkies!!!
Terrible customer service and delivery
I purchased an expensive vacuum from Costco online, which was meant to be delivered by DPD. I had to stay at home for two days waiting for the delivery, but it never arrived. When I contacted Costco for clarification (as DPD only responds to the shipper), they informed me that the package was lost and I requested a refund. However, they refused, stating that DPD requires six days to investigate. It has now been two weeks since I placed the order, and I have yet to receive a refund or the delivery. I raised a complaint, and while a manager from Costco called, they said they cannot take any action until they hear back from DPD.

I purchased a $500 airbnb gift card but cannot redeem. Airbnb indicated Costco need to investigate but Costco wanted Airbnb to investigate. In the end, nobody would help solve the issue.
AVOID Online Shopping with COSTCO
Absolute disgraceful service from 2 Man Limited the contractor Costco UK uses to deliver the white goods. I purchased a washing machine online with disposal and fitting. The 2 guys who turned at the door, the first question they asked me is, has it been disconnected? So rude and didn't give me a chance to explain. The company contacted me while the two guys stood at my doorstep, and the lady I spoke to was so rude and bad attitude. The guys left without telling me anything and within 10 minutes, I contacted Costco customer support and they are telling me I have to wait for 1 more week before they can deliver.
2 Man Limited have some shocking reviews online and the trouble they have caused customers. COSTCO urgently needs to address this issue and stop using poor contractors. It only causes inconvenience for customers.
Friendly Agents, difficulty to provide a resolution
First of all the agents I worked with are very friendly and polite, no complaint there. But they do have difficulty to provide a solution, calls get disconnected, often there is a wait and hold time to speak to and agent. Overall the experience is very tiering.
Costco has a very complex array of products my guess is there is a training issue with the agents in regards how to best address the issue at hand. They always need some time to research an issue and different agents find different solutions. Then they put you on hold to connect you and the call gets disconnected while holding.
Rinse, dry and repeat.
It takes multiple attempts and repeated call ins to get anywhere with them. Again it is not the individual agent that is not friendly or is not trying. It is that they do not have a good grip on the complexity of their products.
Most arrogant people ever
Most arrogant people ever, absolutely diabolical, rude and obnoxious staff. Everything is to much for the staff to help, pure attitude from everyone we encountered through our visit, we where happy and bubbly all the way through our experience but that’s all it was an abrupt experience.

Costco online in the uk is absolutely awful.. I bought a barbecue online last year and had awful service with a damaged lid to the barbecue… over the last month I have purchased two items, total is over £2000 that were delivered. The table base had a broken bracket which made it unusable and three weeks later I’m still waiting for them to contact me with a solution. This is absolutely disgusting even after I’ve chased and chased,They obviously have massive issues and need a big shake up with management to sort out what issues they have online…very very poor service…. And I still have no resolution to the broken table base yet.

If I could give lower, I would. Delivered by third-party group, stated they would install but then said they did not have the items. Made it harder by not delivering any of the screws, washers, etc., that came with the furniture. Taken almost a week of back and forth just to get the replacement pieces, and Costco willingly ignores you and your issue if you do not follow-up constantly. Only offered a small refund of the purchase price. Will never use Costco delivery again.
Avoid!
Bought two items online and both have had issues. They have been an absolute nightmare to deal with. One was a 2K shed which is still not sorted a year later, the other an electrical item.

Dis functional app and website
The online is horrible and full of glitches, they are losing money big time. I spent 2 days and well over an hour trying to buy a big tv, even got customer service on the phone who were baffled why it didn’t work. While the put me on hold I went to Walmart ionline and bought the tv is 1 minute for cheaper too, delivered in 2 days compared to Costco’s 12 day estimate. Time to switch my Costco stock for Walmart
Dyson Ball Vacuum
I ordered 2 Dyson Ball from Costco Online, while I was ordering the product, price was £124.98. I received order confirmation and after couple of hours I received another email about cancellation. It is below.
"We regret to inform you that due to a pricing error, we are unable to fulfil your order for the Dyson Ball. Please be assured other items will be delivered as requested if this was part of a larger order.
In addition, please accept the following £10 online voucher to use on your next online order. Voucher valid until 28/02/2025."
When I asked why my order was cancelled, their customer service answered that there is no stock. It is ridiculous.
Ordered 21st July - Still No Delivery
I ordered Garden Furniture from Costco on the 21st July. The delivery company sent a message on the 22nd July to say they will aim to deliver within 7 business days. I then received a message on 31st July to say that the delivery slot was still in the planning stage and they would be in touch asap to finalise the delivery. It is now the 6th August and I have had no further contact from them. Both the contact numbers given on the website (Kinetic) are inactive. I have contacted Costco customer service twice in regards to this delivery and all they do is chase it up by emailing Kinetics. I have never had so much trouble with a delivery and now wish I had given my business to the local garden centre.
Ordered a sofa..
Ordered a sofa... would be contacted within 4 working days and delivery would be within 10 working days. The delivery address is a holiday let 300 miles away so I have to be there... have called and called explaining the problem. They finally offered me a delivery date, knowing that I couldn't be there... no other dates offered. The postcode isn't on one of their exception postcodes but I have been told that they will let me know when the courier is coming in my direction. I have the most expensive Costco account ... what for, as they are putting customers behind their workers for convenience. Absolutely diabolical service - also usual having to wait 2 days to get a reply as they alledgedly can't call the courier. I would go out of business if I offered this level of service and lets face it, Costco membership is for business owners...
I don’t happy with the delivery
I don’t happy with the delivery. I bought the refrigerator on Saturday July 27th. and told costco that my house is townhouse and small, asked if they could help me move the refrigerator into my house? They said ok. And according to the schedule it would be shipped on thursday. But on Thursday, they came and said my house was having difficulty moving, needed more people to help, and they left. Until now i have not received a call on the exact day i will receive the refrigerator. I dont happy with that.

This morning went to COSTCO in Selma TX. They definitely do not care about their customers. Everytime we go to check out it is chaos. Most people wait there turn in line; however there are those who always want to cut in line. I spoke to the cashiers that checked me out and they said we don't care. They said customers can go to any line and cut in where ever they want. A COSTCO employee use to direct people to the lines. I haven't seen this for several months. Customer support is very poor.
