I recently purchased a dishwasher when…

I recently purchased a dishwasher when the delivery company was delivering. They dragged a metal pump truck over my brand-new by Photos scratch in the metal plastic and damaging the rubber. I’ve repeatedly tried to contact Costco online in an endless queue. I get offered a callback I’ve done this several times the callback never comes.

Delivery problems

Ordered a tv on the 17th July 2024 still no delivery slot booked on 26th July even though i have rang and used chat line every day for a week, It takes 48 working to get a response from a manager. But even the manager can not get a delivery slot. They have a supply problem getting deliveries out. I waited 1 hr and 40 mins to get through on chat. To be told wait and see what happens. but Costco are still taking new orders?

Do not use Costco online

Ordered an LG tv and got confirmation that they aim to deliver within 7 business days. Payment was taken immediately. A week later I received an email asking me to follow a link to Kinetics, their delivery service, to agree a delivery date. The link advised me that the link is not currently active. Eventually got the link but they could not trace the order. Called Costco customer services. They have no way to contact Kinetics by phone and I would be contacted within 2 days. This is a very poor service so if you want a delivery go to another company.

Soon after submitting above review I was contacted with a delivery date, is this a coincidence, only one day later than the 7 day promise, so hopefully all will be resolved. My experience of buying in Costco stores has always been good so hopefully their online service will improve and match it.

2 weeks delivery then wrong model TV

Ordered a 55 Hisense TV at what seemed a good price. The 2-3 day delivery turned into 2 weeks. No reason given. Then they delivered the wrong TV model. Lesser spec than the one I ordered but at about the same price. Phoned customer services, very apologetic and said they could organise a return. At this point I said I would keep the TV they supplied as the costs were pretty much what I paid them. I was told it would take up to 48 hours for them to give me a yes or no as to whether I could do this. I asked to talk to someone more senior. I was promised a call back in up to 48 hours.
I don't usually leave reviews, but this is the worst service I have every come across. I will never use them online again.

Got a replacement mower and they…

Got a replacement mower and they mistakenly refunded me and then I couldn't pay for it because the online account wouldn't let me. Went in and contacted the service mananger. She said they couldn't do it instore contacted online waited over forty minutes when they said it would be a ten minute wait. They couldn't figure it out either. Stood in their ridiculous line to find my membership had been put on hold so they couldn't do anything. Online again ridiculous wait-still nothing done. If it was Amazon it would have taken me three minutes. Never will use their online service again.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service, no contact for 5 days and then Kinetic sends a booking link, can only pick Wednesdays but fine, booked it. Have cancelled by text today when delivery is due tomorrow (Wednesday) and no deliveries for the rest of this week. Kinetic Logistics has no phone support and when I called Costco Online as I am their customer, they said they can contact them and get back to me in a few days because they have no phone link to them either (surely you should be able to contact your sole delivery company, common sense business practice no?). When I asked for it to be delivered by a different haulier (i work in logistics, its the standard thing to do if your haulier has issues) they said they only work with them, so 9 days after placing my £600 order, I still have no tracking details, no idea of when I will receive my product and no way of finding out more. Should have checked the reviews, but certainly will not repeat the same mistake and I hope you see this before you do too! Gutted as this was a present for my mum's birthday and the only useless information your customer service rep could offer was it wouldn't be here before then, another week away and 3 weeks after I ordered... great job.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. I wasn’t able to go shopping myself due to long working hours and send my son to shop for me . Gave him my drivers license and my debit card. They didn’t allow him to shop for me even though we share the same address and last name. Never going back

I’m very disappointed with our Costco log cabin Melbury £4K…
I’m very disappointed with Forest Gardens who supplied it
The build quality on the cabin is good however the quality of the hinges are terrible . I have sent photos , taken measurements explained the misalignment in the 2 doors which won’t shut properly BUT this company isn’t helping - they insist it’s hinge adjustments to fix the problem on 1/2 inch variation ! They won’t send any one to help us . So in total despair with them and Costco who choose to do nothing either they can read this instead !!!
I wouldn’t recommend this company and I wouldn’t buy through Costco again this high value item £4K. The doors don’t shut, the draft in the winter is going to be terrible

Problems will be fixed, but takes time

I ordered several times from Costco Online. Most of the time things went smoothly. However, I had an issue with an appliance (came open without parts and their installation guy said I had to return it).
They fixed the problem but it took a long time and a lot of communication.
I recommend them but with reservations, just realize that if there is an issue you will have to spend some time to get it fixed.

Avoid buying large ticket items at Costco online

Ordered a £3,000 garden shed with delivery within 10 business days. 10 business days came and went. No update from Costco, website said order was "processing". Several calls to Customer Service didn't help as they could not tell me what was going on. Each time the CS person said they had to "email someone" and would get back to. They never got back to me. From the reviews on here (and my experience) it looks like Costco arent able to sell items online that they do not have in stock in their warehouse ie they pass the order to a 3rd party supplier, in this case Stone Garden. Either their systems to do this aren't fit for purpose or they are working with unreliable suppliers. It's hard to believe you can spend £3k on 1 item and Costco Customer Service can't tell you anything about your missing order. I was shocked to see the 1.8 rating for Costo.co.uk as I happily shop in store. Turns out their online business is poorly managed and I would avoid buying large ticket items from them online. They don't yet know how to do it

Costco…..don’t think so!!!

I have just had an awful experience with Costco UK! At the beginning of March I noticed Costco had an offer on a king sized bed and also an offer on a mattress. I duly went online and completed the order form…however each time I got to the paying stage it told me to “remove items from the basket!” I duly phoned their customer service ( 15 minutes before they closed) and spoke to a young man who said it was possible the company didn’t deliver to my post code!!! Although I live in the north of Scotland I am still part of mainland UK ( not on any island). I told him that if they didn’t deliver to my Post Code then it was “demographic discrimination” He told me he would investigate and get back to me on Monday ( I was talking with him Saturday) He duly contacted me on the Monday and advised me that if I ordered again my order would now go through to completion. I asked at this time if I would still be charged at the discount price which had actually finished on Sunday the day after my order was rejected by their system. He told me yes we will honour it ….but….i would have to pay the amount in full and the discount of £310 WOULD BE REFUNDED TO ME WITHIN TEN DAYS! The timing of this was quite important as paying it in full had left the ,balance in my account at practically zero!!! I had explained this to the young man and felt it was a bit unfair of them to ask for full payment up front because due to their faulty system I was unable to order on the Saturday when I would have only been charged the discounted price!! I also asked if there was anyway they could give me a voucher code or discount code so I would be able to only pay the discounted price. The answer was NO to all my requests. I eventually agreed and paid in full knowing that I would only be struggling financially for 10 days. Ten days came and went and when I queried my refund I was told it’s TEN WORKING DAYS! I duly waited a further few days but still no refund so I contacted their customer service yet again. ( you are not allowed to ask for the person you’ve already spoken to so each time you phone you have to repeat the whole story again) during this my 4th call I was advised that the documentation for my refund had been passed to the appropriate team. A few more days passed ( and my bank account was in danger of overdraft fees) but still no sign of my refund. So yet again I phoned their customer service and explained my complaint yet again to another operative who then informed me that “ a refund is only given ten days AFTER DELIVERY!” By this time I am very upset because my delivery was booked ( for my own convenience) for the 19th of April which at this point was a few weeks away and then I had to add on 10 working days before I received my refund. Had I been told this in the beginning I would have cancelled the order. (The bed was delivered as promised by Panther Group who were brilliant!) The bed came on the 19th and I eventually received my refund about a week later.
I do feel the customer service I received from Costco was appalling no one ever followed through with what they promised on the phone ….they were polite but you could sense how indifferent they were to my problems in one particular case the girl I was emailing put up an “ out of office” reply which remained till the day of my last contact with them. Not one of them agreed that I had been treated unfairly and the fault was caused by their system not me….but I paid dearly in stress levels for THEIR faulty system. Changed days from the customer is always right and treat people how you yourself would like to be treated!! I worked in Customer Service all my life and would never have treated people so disrespectfully and been allowed to do so by my company!!! Respect costs nothing. Will NEVER order anything online from them again they are not helpful or mindful of how much stress they put customers through especially when they knew of my financial situation.
My order number was 691964112 on 14/3/2024 just in case Costco UK want to check out my story and maybe ( not holding my breathe here) apologise for the disgraceful customer service they provide!!!!!<

What a fiasco!

What a fiasco. Ordered an IPad on line for my grandsons birthday, delivery arranged for the day before. DPD failed to show. Missed the birthday due to Easter holidays so rearranged for afterwards. DPD failed to show again, 'sorry we missed you' message. Funny as I waited in for them. Rearranged again, DPD failed to show again, 'recipient not identified'. Strange as I had again waited in for them. Called Costco and said that if not delivered that day to cancel the order. DPD called and said it would be delivered so waited in again. No sign of them.
Emailed Costco and cancelled the order requesting an immediate refund but was told that would only happen once the item was returned to them One week later I have my refund. Went to John Lewis and bought the same item over the counter, it cost a bit more but there was no messing about.
To be fair the Costco rep was honest and helpful but they are at the mercy of DPD. Also, why should I wait for DPD to return the item before getting my refund?
I am now cancelling my online account.

Costco has the worst online shopping…

Costco has the worst online shopping experience. I order bunch of appliances from them. (Order number 1072022246). The first issue is it took 2 months to get all the appliances. Although it was saying 2 weeks for arrival. The second issue is the dishwasher came with a dent. I contacted with them thasound times here is the reference number for my chat with your agent. 231210-001695. The agent offered me $100 gift card for the dent since it was out of stock so replacement was not an option. Also another $100 for late shipping. I am told that shopping card would arrive in email in 2 weeks. After that I chatted with them, called them so may times. Every time I am told that there was a problem with the system so the card was not issued. They said they issued this time and it should arrive again 2 weeks. It has been couple of months and I still dont have the card.

Prolonged aggravation

So many "one-star" similarities to our experience !
Hours spent chasing their couriers and their on-line chat, then on the telephone......all trying to get a refund for goods never delivered. Promises made but not honoured. Eventually searched Costco website & found email for their "Operations & Escalations Manager" and e-complaint produced a rapid repayment.

Shocking

Shocking. I will say that this company is apparently not linked to the shop, well I was told that instore.
Three weeks chasing items not delivered. Contacted Costco in chat window, by telephone and spoken to the complaints department. Don’t even bother with the complaints department who told me ( at the end of January) I should expect a long delivery time as it’s just after Christmas!!!!
Then tracking of delivery but no one at home when they were - all day.
That’s the last. Oh and, you can drive 45 mins each way to collect the parcel 🤪
Still waiting now for my money to be returned after 3 weeks of calling.
