Booked a cruise almost 2 years in advance on Cruises.com & when on my reservation with Royal Carribean it showed rate dropped $100 pp. I called right away & lady at Cruises.com said she checked with Royal Carribean & rate was actually higher. I double checked again & still said same cruise same time in same room was $100 pp cheaper. Lady wouldn’t give me reduced rate. I don’t even think she called. Terrible customer service!!!! Company doesn’t standing by what they say if rate drops will always get lower rate.

They night offer some decent incentives but they charge a $24.99 junk fee and also charge you $100 cancellation even before final payment is due when there is no cruise line cancellation penalty at that point. Not sure if I will book any further cruises with them. Incentives improved on my cruise but I can not cancel and rebook without being screwed with a $100 fee. So just proceed with caution if you decide to book through them

Cruises.com provided great cruise deals that are cheaper than booking directly through the cruise lines, depending on time of booking. Having said that, booking through a third party like cruises.com makes the customer ineligible for deals through the cruise company (in my case, I cannot book the drink and wifi package from the cruise line.) Another con: this was my first time booking through the site and the first five times I tried booking and entered my credit card number, it errors out causing me worry that it was not legit. However, I ended up trying again the following day and everything looks good so far. My booking appeared on Celebrity Cruise lines's website.

I had called and asked about promotion and was told that it applied to my booking. When my cruise was actually booked and I looked at confirmation it did not include gratuities like I was told it would. When questioned why it was not included was told it didn’t apply to my booking even though earlier in the day was told it would. I was then told for $558 more I could move to a balcony and the gratuities would be included, so I called to upgrade to a balcony and then was told it would be and additional $900 and some odd dollars and another $250 for the deposit. Will never book with this Company again. Just out to rip you off with false advertising and advice.

I love booking my cruises with Terri Whitmire-Silver at cruises.com! She comes up with really good ideas to make it more fun and cost-saving.

My wife and I won a cruise through our boat club, and, unfortunately it was managed by cruises.com, which is owned by World Travel Holdings, so I assume their other cruise websites are just as awful (unless our totally useless agent, Tia Laywell was the problem). It happened that the cruise we won was our first cruise ever, a 5 day excursion, and happened to be on our 40th wedding anniversary. As such, we wanted to exchange the trip for a longer one, which, according to their paperwork was possible, as the cruise date was a year away. I called Ms Useless Laywell multiple times on multiple days for a number of weeks, left a message each time with my phone number, only to NEVER receive a call back.

So, we still wanted to go on this cruise, as we had never been on one before. We left on the cruise, and although all gratuities were SUPPOSED to be paid for, they only paid for the gratuities for the room. Drink gratuities and meal gratuities were NOT paid for. In addition, we were SUPPOSED to receive a $50 onboard credit the day after we started the cruise. NOT! I emailed Ms Useless, and I received a response that “she’s out of the office until the 15th,” which is when our trip ended. I emailed her again, on the 21st, and received the same message. FINALLY she called us, and said that “we will receive a $50 credit card in 6-8 weeks” because we didn’t specify that we wanted it on our cruise. We won’t hold our breath waiting for that…

I couldn’t have asked for a better representative than Ali. She made it the most satisfying vacation booking experience I have ever had. Thank you Ali, don’t ever stop being you. 10 stars plus if it’s possible.

Kelly, was wounderfull to work with and answered all our questions and worked to get the cabin close to our relatives. She went above and beyond just beeing a sales person. She made us completely comfortable with the process.

The girl Katie, who helped us, is the reason it was so good. It's our first cruise and we called for help, not wanting to make mistakes, and she was so helpful and knowledgeable. She got us better than we were hoping for. It's all so complicated that without her it would've been hard and miserable and we would have done it wrong.

Pamela answered all our questions perfectly and spent time explaining what we need to do next.

I booked this MSC cruise with an agent at cruises.com because I wanted to be sure it included a drink package and she assured me it did. It turns out it did not. After the cruise I contacted them to report this. They contacted MSC and told me I would receive an onboard credit for future cruise. I did find that they were interested in helping to make things right but would not have the problem if the agent had verified that the drink package was included. My thoughts are to book directly with the cruise line. I have found a great agent at Norwegian. From what I can tell MSC does not have good understandable customer service.
