I underwent upper blepharoplasty with Ciara Bowers six weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The clinic itself was beautiful, spotless, and welcoming. The entire staff made me feel comfortable and at ease from the moment I arrived. Ciara took the time to chat with me beforehand, addressing any concerns I had and ensuring I felt confident about the procedure. Throughout the surgery, both Ciara and her assistant kept me company and explained each step, which made me feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for. Now, six weeks post-operation, I am absolutely thrilled with my results! Ciara is not only an outstanding surgeon but also a genuinely lovely person. This is to express my formal appreciation for the exemplary care received at Coppergate Clinic under the supervision of Mr Nick Rhodes. Having previously undergone breast procedure elsewhere some years prior, I consulted Mr Rhodes in 2024. He diagnosed a capsulated implant and successfully performed a capsulectomy, mastopexy, and implant replacement with excellent clinical outcomes in 2025. Based on this positive experience, I underwent further elective procedures this year, including a deep plane face and neck lift, temporal brow lift, fat transfer, upper blepharoplasty, and CO2 laser resurfacing. The surgical execution was flawless, resulting in no post-operative ecchymosis (bruising) and well-concealed scarring, facilitating a rapid recovery I was out shopping by day six. The post-operative care led by Mrs Orla Rhodes and the nursing staff was thorough and highly reassuring. The fees charged are entirely commensurate with the premium level of surgical expertise provided. Mr Rhodes is a master of his craft, and his pricing reflects his world-class expertise.

Upper Blepharoplasty performed by Miss Ciarstan McArdle
I recently had Upper Bleph with Miss Ciarstan McArdle and I can honestly say I highly recommend Coppergate clinic, from the moment you walk in the door reception staff greet you so kindly and considerate you are put at ease straight away. My whole experience with Miss McArdle was that of a bespoke and individually tailored service to myself. Nothing is too much trouble, both the surgeon and the nurse (Nikki O’Neill) were so attentive and professional.

Fantastic! I did a lot of research and travelled from North Wales to Coppergate for my treatment. It was absolutely worth it. My surgeon, Mr Bhat, was brilliant and I am over the moon with my results. All the staff were really accommodating and friendly and the clinic is beautifully presented. C02 Laser & Fat Transfer procedure
On making an appointment with Coppergate Clinic, I arrived to a friendly reception, and very welcoming area to relax. I had a consultancy prior to treatment with surgeon Ciara, whom was very professional, knowledgeable and clear in what procedures were on offer.
I then booked to have the treatment done, to which I was given a day of procedure, a few months away.
On the day of the treatment, again welcomed by all staff, including reception, Ciara, and her able assistant Alison. Procedure took just over an hour, which was followed by instructions for recovery. Day 1-3 was directed to rest as much as possible, followed by the next 3 days improving to such a degree by day 7, there was very little redness or scaring. Returned to normal activities after 1 week, results are immediate and according to the procedure will improve as time passes.
Highly recommended.

I recently had CO₂ laser treatment
I recently had CO₂ laser treatment, and I’m so pleased with the results. The entire experience was professional from start to finish. The practitioner explained the procedure thoroughly, made me feel comfortable, and ensured I knew what to expect during the healing process. I literally cannot wait to see the end results.
I will write a follow up review once my face has healed regarding this treatment.

Staff at Coppergate are so professional…
Staff at Coppergate are so professional and care for your wellbeing. I had lower bleph, fat transfer at co2. I knew exactly about after care because they explained it thoroughly. Every thing went to plan and It’s been 5 weeks in and no problems. I’m still healing but everyday I see more improvements . It’s amazing. I would never dream of treatments abroad, because I pay for quality, which has to be first class and could deal with any problems if occurred. The facilities are spectacular, clean, modern and calming. I saved up a long time to have this done and it’s worth every penny.
Ms Ciara Bowers Is a very experienced surgeon and so lovely to boot ! I was so anxious lol but she is so nice I put my whole trust in the team and I was not disappointed. York is a beautiful place if you need to stay over for a few days after surgery. Safe indoor 24hr car park 3 minutes walk from clinic. I got picked up so didn’t stay anywhere over night, but I wanted to assure people how easy the whole experience is. I would go through the whole experience again unlike childbirth lol.

I recently had upper blepharoplasty…
I recently had upper blepharoplasty surgery with James Smith at the Coppergate Clinic, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience.
From the moment I arrived, the clinic felt spotlessly clean and professional, while still being warm and welcoming. Before the procedure, James took the time to sit down with me, explain exactly what would happen, answer any questions, and make sure I felt completely comfortable and at ease.
The procedure itself was far less daunting than I expected. Apart from a small injection near the eye, which barely hurt, I felt no pain or discomfort at all. James even asked what music I liked and put it on during the procedure, which helped me relax. We chatted throughout with the nurse assisting him, and before I knew it, everything was finished.
Afterwards, the team made sure I was comfortable and ready to leave, even offering me a drink before I headed off to enjoy the rest of my day in York. The follow-up care has been excellent, with both my one-week post-op appointment and subsequent review being thorough and reassuring.
I would highly recommend both James Smith and the Coppergate Clinic. The care, professionalism and attention to detail were outstanding from start to finish.
