Terrible prices

UPDATE, My mother as found a better home insurance with alot more extras then Co Op could ever provide, beyond all its seems there is no one really wanting to help when they just want over £1500 for one thing on a policy while we have now found Home Protect who offer so much including Underground services. Co op failed and will carry on doing so until they put their customers first priorty.

My mother has been with Co Op insurance for so many years I was a child when they took it out, and im 42 now. Ive been telling my mother they taking too much and recently proved this by increasing her insurance, 1st been doubled to nearly 900 and then after a quick phone call went to 1400, after another phone call it went to over 900 again. These places really dont want to offer help just the best deal for them to take more money out your pockets. We had subsidence 16 years ago and all sorted, no issues again. But they made out on the forms we put a claim in 2023, listen up kids this is why you must check your elderly parents documentation properly because of things like this. Then they add on things thats not really wanted. Well luckily I have found a better place that offers more value and less money then these guys want. Really distressed my mother out over this, rememeber is always about keep loyal customers of a certain age happy.

We understand that premium increases can be frustrating, particularly when you feel the policy no longer represents good value for money. Premiums can change for several reasons, including changes in risk factors and wider market conditions, however we do aim to ensure customers are informed of any changes to their cover.

We note that you have found an alternative policy that you believe better suits your mother’s needs. As the policy is held in your mother’s name, we are only able to discuss specific policy details with her. If your mother would us like to review her policy, explain any premium increases, or discuss the cover she currently has please ask her to contact us directly and we will be happy to look into her concerns.

Clear and truthful policies

Looking for a travel insurance I had made enquiries on other companies but returned to co-op as they set out each type of policy very clearly.
I feel confident and use the co- op for many different policies and have been a member for many years. I trust these policies.
