Caring staff.
The staff were very caring, and extremely helpful, at a very difficult and emotional time. Nothing was too much trouble and they provided a lot of comfort to the family.
We would not hestitate to recommend the Co - Op funeral service to anyone.

My Mother’s funeral - excellent service
We recently had to sort my Mother’s funeral and the Coop in Totnes were brilliant. Thoughtful, efficient, supportive from the start and a follow up after the funeral. Hopefully not a service I will need again soon but I have no hesitation in recommending Stephen and his team. Thank you

Very clear website with fair pricing
Very clear website, clear choice of products, fair pricing with clear cost with no extras throughout.
I timed this because of the £200 voucher, I had been intending to purchase a funeral plan for some time, but this spurred me on! I have helped others use these plans before with the Co-Op and all went well when the death occurred.
I know that the Co -Op has been in this business for a very long time and I think will last as long as myself!

Jess the lady I had the appointment with was really lovely. Jess treated me with respect and kindness.
At no point did I feel uncomfortable talking to her.

Following the loss of my dear mum
Following the loss of my mum, I cannot thank Jo and Sharon at the Winton branch enough for the compassion, care, and kindness they showed us. Their support during such a painful time meant so much to me and my family. They were gentle, understanding, and truly caring throughout, and their warmth helped bring us comfort when we needed it most. I will always be grateful for everything they did.

I arranged a cremation for my late sister who passed in 2019, I contacted the local co-op funeral services to arrange cremation and return the remains to me. I had to repeatedly contact them to find out what was happening and when the ashes finally arrived (£70 to have them posted to me) they were in a paper bag inside a cardboard box, this was inside an old box that had held a desk fan. Only wrapped in brown paper, the paper bag had leaked and you can imagine my feelings as I unpacked the box with my sisters ashes spilling everywhere.
I complained to the co-op who sent me an email saying how sorry they were and a director would be in touch, but unsurprisingly never recieved any contact.
All this needed was a sealed plastic container and a decent box, given the cost of the service I don’t think this would have been too much to ask.
The address is listed below, I do not recommend them in any way for a professional or caring service.
I have reposted this review I left in 2019 because the pain I feel regarding this matter is still raw.

My Funeral Plan experience
Friendly staff and I feel confident that the Co-op are a very professional company
I. Chose a “silver” burial plan but was very disappointed that there is no provision in the plan for upgrading my coffin,
That option is only available to whoever organises my funeral after my death at an additional cost.
How do I know if they will comply with my wishes?
I would prefer to pay for the upgrade now and be sure my wishes are met.
I can’t understand why that option is not available for me at the time of purchase of my plan, it can hardly be rocket science in today’s computer age.
Other than that I am happy that my future funeral is paid for.
