I completed the Proofreading and Editing course with CMP and found it thorough, challenging and informative. My tutor Shuna was excellent and I learned a lot during my studies.

I felt this course started off well, but I found it increasingly difficult to engage with it as I progessed. The lesson on checking accuracy and facts (07) contained an error in the assignment that hadn't been fact-checked! Later I queried my tutor as to use of tradenames in fiction writing, and it remained unanswered. When lessons became "optional" there was less incentive to keep going, although it transpired you could just skip to the end.

I found the copywriting course very helpful. Not only it covers a wide range of useful topics, but also teaches you how to present yourself out in the job market. Many courses avoid teaching the part where you have to actually look for clients or apply to work, and I respect CMP for giving this part more attention. The course is easy to follow, has various practical homeworks and is very interesting to read. What I found very helpful is that it provides many examples of successful and not so successful copy that already exists out there on the internet. I can say it gives the explanations a face. My tutor, Julian Brouwer, was a pleasure to work with. He always marked homeworks promptly and gave detailed feedback. In fact, he made me feel more confident about my writing by highlighting my strong sides in his feedback. The course also comes with free useful resources on boosting your career. However, there are some minor things that need to be improved in the course. I wouldn't name them if it wasn't a copywriting course, but from time to time I spotted typos in the writing and some links are outdated, leading to 404 page. There were only a couple such instances, but I still think that the content has to be checked more carefully if it teaches about copywriting. This being said, I enjoyed studying at CMP a lot and would recommend it to study copywriting.

This course was comprehensive, providing a range of learning materials. The assignments were both interesting and promoted further understanding. Tutor feedback and involvement were exemplary, and the course administrators were friendly and responded promptly to queries. Thanks!

I have only just started the course but it seems interesting. I will have more time this month to focus on the course now I am unemployed.

The Copywriting course it thorough, well paced and the feedback from my tutor has been so helpful.

This was by and far the best online learning course I've taken so far. I appreciated the prompt feedback from my tutor, elaborate lessons, and exercises. I have applied these skills to my writing and editing career and gained more clients. Really recommend it!

The College of Media and Publishing’s Copywriting course takes learners step-by-step through all aspects of the discipline. The course is structured to take students gradually from basics concepts to writing complex articles, with each lesson focused on a specific topic. The online learning area is easy to navigate and packed with supporting documentation. Course material is provided via video explainers and downloadable documents, with additional guidance from tutors, who are established professionals in the subject. They offer balanced advice and feedback on assignment submissions and respond to any additional queries within the timeframes outlined. This allows you to reflect on your progress so that you can become confident in real world scenarios. I recommend their service and would use them again for future training.

Assignment 04 - better explanation of how to use Adobe Acrobat. Also, a short para proofread in the style you want the assignment done would be useful. The tutor is, however, excellent.

I had a wonderful education at the College of Media and Publishing for a great price, and I graduated with distinctions this week :) I received my diploma in copywriting with charter marks, and QLS Certificate of Achievement and Learner Unit Summary in an email this morning. I also have a ton of notes and invaluable educational material that I will hold near and dear as I set out on my career journey. I know many people who have graduated from CMP, and I fully trust CMP. It's based in the UK, affordable, flexible, self paced, and remote, soit was very convenient for me. 10/10 I'll probably do it again for another certificate if I want to build my skills down the road :)

CMP offers a great modern day way of learning – online – and extremely flexible. I’m happy to have just passed the webwriting course. I thought my tutor Justine was spot on with her timely feedback and comments. The course is very well structured and interesting.

The copywriting course was excellent. It really challenges you to think and create, and really prove you have understood the principles of each module, with the right amount of professional guidance throughout. A great foundation for starting out in the field.

I thought the course was well designed and written and enjoyable, though could have been more concise, the tutor Shuna Meade, very good. However, especially if you are not technologically minded, sometimes the simplest task e.g. sending a completed assignment, was a challenge at first.

I love how easy it is to navigate through the lessons, and that I can jump in and out of my studies on my own time and at my own pace. I also enjoy to one-on-one feedback from my Professor. So grateful to have found such a great place for my continuing education.

I've had another great experience with CMP. The course material is excellent, and the tutor support is even better. I can't fault CMP, and I look forward to studying many more courses with them.

I recently completed the proofreading and editing course with the College of Media & Publishing and found it an excellent experience. The course not only provided me with practical training and tools to add proofreading to my professional skill set, but it has also been very useful for improving my own writing projects.

The flexibility of the course made it easy to fit around my full-time work commitments, and my tutor gave excellent, constructive feedback throughout. Overall, it was a positive, rewarding, and highly useful experience that I would happily recommend.

I signed up for the Proofreading and editing course in February 2025 and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The module packs contained masses of helpful information and the assignments were interesting. I was a little disappointed that the optional modules for editing on paper and fiction editing were self-assessed. However, the model answers were useful to compare my answers to.
I was able to effectively manage the assignments whilst working full time. Julian the course tutor, gave constructive feedback and I happily achieved a distinction.
I now have lots to think about before I decide what to do next with my career.

This was a very enjoyable course and really incentivised me to resume part-time learning. The subject matter is varied and each course module a good length - to cover subject matter but not be overwhelmed. There are a lot of links to follow and pages to bookmark - you need to be organised. And at the end of the course, there are a few optional subjects which, in my opinion, would've been better as mandatory and marked by the tutor. I'm not sure I'm ready for commercial use of the course yet, and will likely follow on with another course. But there is plenty of guidance for how to get started.

Having just completed the Proofreading and Copy Editing course, I would definitely recommend it to anybody. It is affordable, well-structured and provides an informative introduction to the subject matter. My tutor (Julian) was clear and concise in his feedback, as well as very supportive. Having qualified with a distinction, I also found the course very rewarding (as well as proof that you're never too old to learn). I am now hoping to take my new-found skills into a new career. Thanks to everyone involved at CMP.

I took two courses -The Copywriting course and the Social Media Marketing course. I particularly enjoyed the fact that you had practical assignments and had to finish one and be graded to access to the next lesson. The tutors were always available when I had a question and I always got the grade or a feedback with two working days. I learned a lot from those courses and I can only recommend them!
