Every member of our close-knit team works with dedication and commitment and we treat every call and every visit with respect and compassion. We are faithful to our objective of making home visits personal, un-rushed, peaceful and dignified . We always have the time to talk to you and will always do everything we can to support you and your pet at a time when you need us most. We work to support and help you when you need us, but we are not an emergency vet and we do not have limitless appointment times. But even in an emergency we will do all we can to help you. An emergency tends to be a crisis and our ethos is to plan a calm and respectful goodbye. Our caring team works passionately to help pet families that are facing "end of life situations" for their beloved pet companions. We provide unhurried pet euthanasia services in the secure and loving environment of your own home. We really do understand that it may be difficult to make that first call, so, our Care Coordinators are available for you to speak to, 7 days a week, from 7am to 8pm Monday to Friday and between 8am to 5pm at weekends and when you pick up the phone, we will treat your call with kindness and understanding. All Cloud 9 Vets fees are always explained and agreed in advance of booking an appointment. The Cloud 9 Way, we do our utmost to provide empathy, compassion and respect in everything we do.

Best possible end of life for our cat.…
Robert was very caring and compassionate when we had our cat Sooty put to sleep after living with cancer. Alder vets recommended Cloud9 as we wanted him to be at home and not be stressed by a journey to the vet. I would definitely recommend them to anyone facing this difficult decision.

Thank you Henry and Cloud 9 Vets
We had to make the decision to let our beautiful old friend Duke leave us on Tuesday. Following recovery from a stroke earlier in the year he had suddenly deteriorated and we were advised to call Cloud 9 and this was definitely the best thing we could have done. Henry the vet was kind and compassionate, taking us through each stage and explaining everything in detail. He made Duke happy and relaxed with a sedative so Duke could happily have all the treats and goodies he wanted and gently drifted off to sleep before the final injection. Our boy had the best goodbye possible thanks to Henry and Cloud 9 Vets.

We had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our cat Spike to sleep at the weekend. Sally from Cloud 9 Vets could not have been more compassionate, kind, patient and caring. A GENTLE AND STRESS FREE DEPARTURE
Home euthanasia was the only option for my diabetic cat, Cookie, who had had this debilitating condition for nearly 5 years. Cloud 9 Vets Guildford were sympathetic and empathetic throughout and Josie, my allocated Vet, could not have been more professional and caring when she came to put Cookie to sleep. She observed from his demeanour that he was 'ready to leave' and so it proved. After a small calming anaesthetic he slipped peacefully away in my arms before any real amount of the final injection was administered. So grateful he was spared any further pain or distress.

Having to decide to say goodbye to our…
Having to decide to say goodbye to our 14 year old puppy dog was the hardest decision I have ever made – it was utterly devastating. Cloud 9 made the experience as gentle, compassionate and peaceful as it could possibly be.
Our vet, Frances, was so calm and gentle during our darkest and saddest moment. Our beloved big girl Treacle, showed no stress or concern in her final moments and we are so grateful that she was able to pass at home surrounded by love.
Cloud 9 were exceptional – from the very first tearful phone call right through to our vet visit. To visit a home in such sad times, takes kindness, compassion and empathy - we felt lucky that Frances was there for Treacle in her moment of need. I am so grateful for the exceptional service Cloud 9 provided during a heart-breaking time.

Couldn't thank Karris enough for her professionalism and support throughout the whole process of helping our 14 1/2 old Whippet pass away peacefully.
From start to finish the service was excellent and we were treated like family - she reassured us throughout and made sure we were kept informed about the different stages and made sure we understood that Ollie wouldn't be in pain anymore.
Karris spoke kindly and professionally and even offered to stay after Ollie had finally gone to sleep for extra support which was very much appreciated.
The sympathy card we recieved the following week was a lovely touch which really meant a lot - i would absolutely recommend this service for someone seeking a dignified euthanasia experience for their pet at home.

I’ve been meaning to write this review…
I’ve been meaning to write this review for a week, but it’s taken some time to adjust to life after the heartbreaking loss of my beloved dog, Dusk. I’m so grateful I chose Cloud 9 Vets. From my very first call with Jennifer to the compassionate visit from Kim, both ladies showed such kindness, empathy, and genuine care for both Dusk and me.
Making the decision to say goodbye through euthanasia is never easy - it’s utterly devastating, but Cloud 9 made the experience as gentle and comforting as it could possibly be. There was no stressful vet visit, no rushing through final moments, just the peace of saying goodbye at home with love and dignity.
I’ve already recommended Cloud 9 Vets to a friend facing the same heartbreaking decision. If anyone were to ask me the best way to say goodbye to a pet, I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest this approach. A Tragic Experience Made Less Painful Thanks to Cloud 9 Vets
We've just made the tragic decision to send our 14½ year old boxador over the rainbow bridge, for her eternal slumber. Because Bella was absolutely petrified of going to the vet, we had already made the decision that she would be put to sleep at home, surrounded by her family. We made this decision when she had started to deteriorate.
Our initial decision was to put her to sleep later this week, so that people she touched with her beautiful soul could drop in to give her treats, fuss and love. Then we decided it needed to be sooner, because she was deteriorating. We ended up getting a next day appointment. The people who booked her in were kind, compassionate and really understood how distressing it was. They were very good.
The vet, Susie, was incredibly reassuring for Bella, our beautiful girl, and for our family. She stayed at Bella's side to calm her completely, prior to sedating her, so that she could do what was needed prior to giving her the anaesthetic.
The entire experience was absolutely heartbreaking, but Bella's passing was completely peaceful, restful and beautiful. We remained at her side throughout. We couldn't have wished for a better end to her long and wonderful life. Susie was really wonderful, compassionate and caring. She treated Bella like she was her own dog. She treated her with so much love. She took all of the time we needed, plus all of the time Bella did, too. She gave us the space, when we needed it, so that we could tell Bella that she was a very good girl, a very lovely girl, and that we loved her with all our hearts and souls.
My brothers dog is eight and my mum's dog is four. Hopefully they won't need this yet. When they do, I'll recommend they use Cloud 9 Vets. If you're in this incredibly sad position, Cloud 9 Vets are what you need. Bella crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday, we're so impressed that I felt Cloud 9 deserved a really prompt review.

Disappointed with geographic coverage
Very disappointed that Cloud 9 don't have a vet who will travel to North Berwick (about 22 miles outwith Edinburgh) to euthanase our dog. We specifically wanted her to be euthanased at home where she has always felt safe and loved, with the people who care for her. We would have been happy to pay a surcharge for distance but weren't offered that as an option.

I am sorry that we do not have a vet that could cover your area, it is not possible and possibly unreasonable to expect that we have a vet in every area of the UK, whilst I would very pleased to be able to offer this, it is not a reality for us at the moment, if we were the only vet that could not arrange a home visit I am truly sorry.
I understand your desire to have a vet visit your home and would have been honoured to arrange this for you, but if we do not have a vet close enough, it is just not possible. We work hard to help as many pet families as we possibly can and I think it is very unfair to penalise all the efforts we put in 365 days a year because we did not have a vet available in your area.
I sincerely hope that you have been able to care for your dog in the best way possible.

Couldn’t recommend enough. So caring and kind.
We called Cloud 9 Vets hoping and praying they would have a vet available the same day that could come to our home and put our beloved English Bulldog to sleep. We desperately wanted to avoid a vet environment and I’m so so glad they managed to get a vet within a few hours to come to our home. Me and my partner were distraught at losing our boy and the vet was so caring, understanding and allowed us time on our own with him once he had passed and honestly made the whole experience as peaceful as possible. I am so grateful to her.

Everyone was so kind - a peaceful experience
We made the difficult decision to say goodbye to our dog yesterday. I’m glad we were able to say goodbye at home in a calm and peaceful environment. Everyone I spoke to on the phone at Cloud 9 Vets was so sensitive to our situation and patient. They managed to schedule a next day appointment for us. Steve the vet was lovely, so very kind to us and to our girl as she passed. The man that came from the crematorium was also so respectful and kind. If you are able to, I would recommend planning your pet’s euthanasia at home on your terms. Our dog went peacefully surrounded by people who love her. Thank you to everyone at Cloud 9 that made that possible.

Losing a beloved pet is the worst feeling
When I realised it was my CKCS Alfie’s time I contacted my Vet to ask if they offered home visits, they put me in touch with Cloud 9 and on Saturday morning an amazing David Harvey came to us
He was simply amazing, he talked us through every aspect of the dreaded procedure , what could happen , asked how we wanted to do it, gave us time to spend last precious moments with Alf, answered our dumb questions, and truly made a horrible situation beautiful and bearable. There was no rushing, it was so dignified and when it was time for David to leave , he shook hands with my son and I told him I would rather give him a hug. I cannot praise you highly enough David for your patience, compassion and lovely disposition .You are a gentle and gentleman

Exemplary Servce
We were recently referred to Cloud 9 by our local veterinary practice. I have to say that the service we received was exemplary from start to finish. Our initial phone call was dealt with in sincere empathy. Danielle, handled the call brilliantly and fully explained the process and associated costs in a very sympathetic manner. A home visit by the vet, Andrea, meant we could spend a few hours in the sunshine with Winston, our dog, in his favourite part of the garden. The vet was fantastic with Winston and he was very respectful of our needs and feelings. We subsequently had a private cremation and the ashes were delivered a week later, by Neil, in a wooden casket together with a foam and some inked paw prints. I cannot speak highly enough of the service provided by Cloud9. Highly recommended.

Flawless and painless
We spoke initially to Danielle who was very kind and took the time to explain and clarify the process, and arrange things for our beloved cat Phil. She recommended Audra as the right vet for us and happily, was able to book her for us on short notice - which really made a difference. It was a fantastic choice. Audra was highly skilled and and the way she worked was incredible. She had a caring, gentle approach and took all the time necessary to explain everything to us and answer all our questions. Audra also carried out the process flawlessly. Phil's last moments were dignified - and we were very comforted knowing he passed swiftly and more importantly, painlessly. We could not have hoped for a better end to a long life that brought us so much joy over the past 24 years - we can't thank Audra and Danielle enough.
As a side note, I should say that I honestly thought that my wife was going to go into meltdown but Audra was so good that she immediately relaxed, and by the end, was incredibly calm seeing how careful and caring Audra was with our loveable little boy.
