My card details used to charge a car or cars 200 miles away.
I had to deleted my account and informed my bank and cancel my bank card , I have raised a ticket with chargepoint.
Other Chargepoint users should change there Password at least.
Plus if i did not have SMS notifications on my phone the problem would have been worse.
but i notice they mention that they soon will not send you SMS notifications ?
I have have now been fully refunded

Chargepoint are crooks. There is no two ways about it. They fraudulently charged my bank account, and when they were forced to acknowledge their fraud they refunded it to "my account with them", have promised to refund to my bank account, but they have never actually done so. Every customer service person lies endlessly telling a new story but the underlying truth is the whole firm is fraudulent.
UPDATE: 3 months after the initial fraud and after dozens of messages, complaints and threats, and hours wasted they did eventually repay the amount stolen. A CSR admitted they have a large fraud problem and "they cannot be expected to deal with all the fraud promptly"

Application à fuir facturation abusive (plusieurs montant d’un euro) débités en peu de temps. Impossibilité de contacter le service client et impossibilité de supprimer la carte bancaire enregistrée dans le compte ChargePoint.
Le prix facturé est différent du prix annoncé.
NE TÉLÉCHARGER PAS CETTE APPLICATION !

For four hours…we got 3 miles for $4.89. Ridiculous rip off and waste. If it’s not fast charge, don’t waste your time/money.

I ordered a Home Flex Charger from ChargePoint, but the first unit I received was defective. After several calls with their support team, they decided to send me a replacement. The new charger was shipped via FedEx. However, about a month later, I received a bill from FedEx for shipping and customs fees. Despite repeatedly contacting ChargePoint support, I couldn't get the issue resolved. The entire experience was frustrating, and the support was unhelpful. I wouldn't recommend this product.

If I would be able to give a zero star review I would. I got a defective product (can't connect to wifi), and it is impossible to get through to customer support, you are put on hold for hours, if you leave your phone number (and they say they will call you back) they won't

On a recent trip through central Colorado, I needed to charge my EV from about 30% charge to 80% charge in Buena Vista, to avoid arriving home with a single digit charge remaining. My app directed me to a charging station at 912 S Main. The pedestal is about a block off of Main, in a dirt parking lot, but I eventually located it and connected as usual. The unwelcome surprise came at the end of the charging session: while similar sessions at other ChargePoint stations cost anywhere between $12 and $20, this one cost me more than $60. If you have other options in this area, use them, and avoid this specific station!

J'ai été victime du piratage de mon compte chargepoint avec des recharges en simultané en Angleterre. J'ai eu la chance de réagir rapidement et de limiter les frais en désactivant mon moyen de paiement (google pay) mais sinon ça aurait pu être dramatique. Cette application n'est pas sécurisée (authentification à un seul niveau) et a été piratée par des gens bien organisés donc je conseille à tous les utilisateurs de désactiver leur compte de façon préventive... Merci d'avance au support chargepoint de répondre à mes réclamations émises depuis presque 2 semaines...

My Chargepoint account was hacked and over £300 was removed fraudulently. I notified Chargepoint on 8 July and four weeks later, plus ten phonecalls from me to their customer support, I am still getting the story that their finance department is investigating.

Set up an account with ChargePoint. Transferred funds to the account and charged my EV. The following day ChargePoint withdrew more money to the account. We were not going to use ChargePoint again - and have numerous times asked ChargePoint to refund the balance. Without any success. In 2025 we asked Consumer Europe (set up by the European Commission) to take over the case. ChargePoint's European HQ is in the Netherlands, so Consumer Europe has had the Dutch Consumer Authorities to contact ChargePoint to repay the balance. ChargePoint did not respond to the Dutch authorities.
I thereupon wrote a review on Trustpilot - whereupon ChargePoint reached out to me. They informed me that they had not received my emails in the Netherlands (they had gone to ChargePoint US and had not been redirected to the Netherlands). ChargePoint thereupon corrected the matter.
I have now changed the title of this review - and have also changed the assessment from 1 to 3 stars.

Bought a ChargePoint charger for our home for $550, and had an electrician install it. Total out of pocket was $1,000 with rebate included. Now 13 months in and the charger isn’t working, and dealing with support/customer service for ChargePoint is a nightmare which includes 45 minute wait times on the phone and hanging up from frustration. And if you are lucky enough to get through to a representative, it is a very slow process of them having you do steps to ensure it is not working and then escalating it only to receive additional troubleshooting suggestions by email. But the only way to tell them nothing works is to call them as you cannot reply to the emails. And again, getting a live representative is challenging. Electrician that installed it came to our house and inspected unit and was lucky enough to speak to ChargePoint on the phone and said the issue is on their end as the wiring and power is fine. Yet here we are, nails on a chalkboard, trying to get back in contact with company to advise additional steps provided still haven’t fixed issue. Unit is under warranty so I have that but with this aggravation it isn’t worth it.

Noch nie über Chargepoint geladen, fahren erst seit 01.Juli elektrisch. Heute über 700 Euro auf Konto vorauthorisiert. Offensichtlich mehrere Ladevorgänge in London. Deutscher Support am Wochenende natürlich nicht erreichbar. Werde Anzeige erstatten und zum Anwalt gehen.

Merci à chargepoint de répondre à mon avis. J'ai déjà déposé une réclamation sur l'application puis écrit un mail à votre adresse de support, donc vous devez avoir une trace de mes échanges. Sans doute un peu difficile à retrouver au milieu de l'ensemble des plaintes de gens qui se sont fait piratés car je ne suis pas le seul. Par ailleurs inutile de proposer aux gens de les rappeler quand vos conseillers sont occupés car personne ne m'a rappelé non plus... J'attends donc de vos nouvelles...

My account was hacked and two charging sessions took place 180 miles away!
I emailed support to receive an email stating they don’t respond to that anymore and to fill in a contact form. Completed the form a week ago and messaged on social media with absolutely no response and no confirmation that my case has even been logged. Absolutely terrible customer service for the 2nd time this year after they attempted to double charge me and left a £60 hold on my card in May.
Would avoid like the plague.
In response to the reply from Charge Point. I am unable to provide my email address on Trust Pilot and would refer you to my Facebook message which contains the details or the email I sent to your support email address.

Betrüger!!!
Vor paar Wochen in Gelsenkirchen Laurentiushöfe habe ich an einer Ladestation dieser Firma versucht, mein Auto aufzuladen, und musste dafür meine Kreditkarte belasten lassen. Direkt nach Eingabe meiner Daten und Autorisierung wurden 76,16 Euro auf meiner Karte blockiert – nur um festzustellen, dass der Ladevorgang gar nicht funktioniert! Es gab keine Möglichkeit, die Transaktion sofort zu beenden, und die Webseite reagierte nicht.
Als ich den Kundendienst kontaktierte, wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass der Betrag nur reserviert sei und erst nach 1–2 Wochen (!) automatisch freigegeben werde. Es ist sehr unverständlich, dass so eine hohe Summe einfach für mehrere Wochen blockiert bleibt, obwohl keine Dienstleistung erbracht wurde. Nach 3 Wochen immer kein Geld auf mein Konto.
Ich muss leider den Fall beim Anwalt melden.

Zuerst wurde auch bei mir von einem Lononer Standort (Valley Park Trade Centre) versucht für 66,41€ zu laden. Den Betrag habe ich mittlerweile Gutgeschrieben bekommen. Leider kann ich jetzt nicht mehr laden, da das System keine änderung der Handynummer zulässt. Die Hotline in deutsch ist trotz drücken der Taste 1 NICHT erreichbar, ich lande immer wieder bei einem Englischen Sprecher.

Mise en place de l'application et création de mon compte, puis enregistrement de ma carte bancaire,
demande de valider montant de 1€ ce que j'ai fait. Impossible de recharger sur la borne, j'ai ensuite laissé tombé.
En soirée, alerte de ma banque pour me demander si j'étais à l'origine des débits de 1€ et 7 fois 50€ venant des Pays Bas!
A fuir !! Application non sécurisée !!

Achtung Betrug! Ich bekam gestern Abend eine E-Mail über einen Ladevorgang in London in Höhe von 70 Euro, die natürlich sofort von meinem PayPal-Konto abgebucht wurden und nochmals 10 Euro, weil mein Guthaben unter 5 Euro lag. Natürlich war ich nicht in London, vermutlich wurden meine Kontaktdaten nicht ausreichend geschützt. Kundendienst natürlich nicht telefonisch erreichbar, schriftlich Beschwerde eingereicht, sollte das Geld nicht zeitnah zurück kommen geht der Vorgang zum Anwalt. Da ich nicht der einzige bin dem das passiert ist, hilft wohl nur den Account zu deaktivieren.
Das betrügerisch abgebuchte Geld wurde mir inzwischen nach mehrmaliger Intervention beim Anbieter über Paypal zurück erstattet und gleichzeitig mein Account vom Anbieter ohne Rückfrage gelöscht. Ich komme jedenfalls nicht mehr in meinen Account und bei "Passwort vergessen" drücken erreicht mich keine E-Mail zum zurücksetzten. Komischer Anbieter, braucht man eher nicht!

This is not a real business. I wouldn't even rate them 1. Probably the worst contractor I have been involved with. They were my company's choice so i was forced to deal with them. It has taken 9 months from first approach to installation. Where I prepared the trench, duct and mounting base. Hundreds of emails exchanged with both ChargePoint and the subcontracted installer. Pics taken, survey done. Complete chaos in terms of pricing, milestones, nothing went to plan and as per survey. The charger is installed now but does not work. The app is frozen, the charger appears unconnected. I have a case number, called the 24/7 assistance number. ringing forever, no one to answer. This is a joke not a business. Avoid at all cost if you can.
