Very poor service and quality with beam. On delivery I was really disappointed as the beam had raised fibres and did not look like a finished product. After several hours by myself of sanding with various grades of sandpaper managed to get a good finish. Called them immediately after opening and then at their request emailed them with pics - not heard anything from them in 10 days. Avoid - plenty of other people selling mantles and a lot cheaper.

Very pleased with our cut to size solid oak shelf. The quality is great. Good value for money too. Delivery was a bit quicker than stated on the web page so that was a bonus and it was very well packaged too. I ordered it untreated so that I can stain to suit our furniture. Would have no problem in recommending Celtic Timber to anyone.

Ordered a solid oak floating shelf from Celtic timber on the 16th November 2020 as a Christmas present for my mother.
phoned to check delivery would be before Christmas on the 30th November and was advised that it would be delivered between the 18th and 23rd of December. Called on the 16th of December to check all on track and was told despatching 18th December and would be delivered within 48hours of despatch. Took this to mean working days, so assumed 22nd - 23rd. Phoned on the 22nd to check and was told despatched and in the DX Express Derby Depot (not far from me). Phoned again 23rd told only despatched 22nd and in transit. Asked for tracking number, which didn't initially work, but now has showing only picked up 15 minutes after my phone call. Person I spoke to apologized for the confusion on the delivery information. It wasn't confusion - it was plain old fashioned LIES.

Ordered an oak beam to finished off a new stove install. Stain colour supplied accurate and finish on the heavily worked beam is fantastic. Fitting things like this will always be dictated by the wall type but the brackets were good and had a little spacing on each to allow margin for error. Nothing better than a straight forward service where you get what was advertised, no nonsense.

Had a complete nightmare fitting the oak mantel we bought from Celtic Timber, due to the incorrect instructions that were supplied with it.
Tried calling and emailing them for advice but was completely ignored.
Ended up sawing the fixings off and starting from scratch. Looks ok now, but still never had any reply to my emails!

Like others I am not happy about writing negative reviews but I am fed up with being let down by people. I ordered a chopping board on 29th September. I was aware of the need to give up to 10 days for it to be manufactured and delivered. I recieved an email the following day saying "Order Complete". I took this to mean it was complete and had been shipped. However I waited until the 14th October to enquire by email. I received a response from the elsewhere mentioned 'William' to say it was with the couriers and should be with me in a few days. Nothing by the 19th so I emailed again. I did not receive a response but did receive and invitation to review my purchase with Celtic Timber. I emailed a second contact address and 'Jon' replied saying my board has been dispatched to the courier on Monday and would be with me in a few days. This is a different version of events than was supplied by William who only replied when I threatened to leave my unsatisfied review. He said that the couriers were having staffing issues and it would be with me in a few days. I have missed my deadline for the board. They have not chased this up effectively and if they are blaming their couriers then they need to look at who they do business with. I will not be a returning customer.

Bought a huge 55 gallon half barrel planter.

Despite the size the delivery was included as very bulky. Good communication of delivery.

Really dont like writing bad reviews but hopefully someone might ring me after this.
Placed and paid for a wooden beam weeks ago but still have not received it and have emailed 3 times 1st email was responded to saying they cant find my order and the other 2 emails were not responded to. I absolutely love what I ordered and just want it delivered. Again I hate having to do this but just want someone to pick up the phone to me and get this sorted.

Incredibly speedy service, and perfect quality shelves.

Ordered a pack of cedar cladding seconds. Advertised as 'freshly cut'. Not the case. Obvoiusly stored with out air gaps for some time. Many boards stuck together with mold and discolored. In fairness they did give me a discount but I am left with a some boards that look terrible and will end up as firewood.

Ordered a 3/4 wine barrel planter on Monday 8/6/20 in the evening, it arrived today the 10/06/20. Really pleased with the product. Brilliant service in my experience.

We have bought several barrels from this company. We just ordered a larger size barrel at a cost of £75 which was delivered and no where near the size in height that was specified in their blurb. My husband contacted them and he had an email back from someone called ‘William’ saying that they would replace or refund but we had to wear the cost of the postage back. That was the last we heard so although we were not happy we decided to keep it as we weren’t going to get anywhere with ‘William’.

My husband today took the outer plastic wrapping off the barrel and the whole thing started to fall to pieces. It was obvious that it had been made up of pieces of different barrels and it hadn’t been pinned. My husband called the company and spoke to a guy to told him to take photos and send in. When my husband asked about five times who he was speaking to the guy refused to give his name. My husband then asked for the name of the CEO he again refused to give any info. We both find this whole situation totally unacceptable. My husband is now going to deal with this through his credit card company. Was the guy on the phone ‘William’, l wonder?

We are very pleased with our oak beam door stop, which prevents the handle of our front door from hitting the wall. This was an awkward area but the door stop fit perfectly and also matches our decor. It was easy to order online. Great service and prompt delivery.

I have to say what a company, excellent service from start to finish.
Ordered by phone the salesman was polite and very helpful indeed, I have to say.
The product arrived 2 days later by courier very well packaged.
Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding with the order with 2 bits of timber not sent.
This was immediately rectified with a phone call with the remaining pieces arriving a couple of days later.

Beautiful mantel. So simple and yet it has really transformed my living room. Everything as ordered and arrived very quickly. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Celtic Timber.
