Hello Kirsty, thank you for your review. As you are aware, our fee is charged for the whole service we provide you in preparing your self assessment tax returns. This includes the multiple telephone conversations we complete with you to build your mileage claim, the reviewing and preparation of your self assessment tax returns, and liaising with HMRC on your behalf. An accountant would charge much more for the service we have provided. We are experts in our field and we are able to ensure all of your eligible expenses are included in your claim so we can maximise the value of your refund. For these reasons we do feel our fees are fair and competitive.
A very bad experience
A very bad experience, took absolutely too long, was told i’ll be getting at least £700, after their charges i was only left with about £150, never will use this company ever again.

Hello Shagufta, we're very disappointed to read this review. We make our clients aware of our charges before we submit a claim on their behalf. Our fees are calculated from the gross rebate which is the value of the claim not the amount released by HMRC. The refund amount may be used to offset any liabilities owed to HMRC, our fee and the remainder will then be repaid to you. We have communicated this to you and provided a breakdown of the monies in relation to your claim.

applied for rebate was successfull but didnt recieve as another company apparently has authority now being sent letters to demand payment for their expenses £500 but no means of paying as still no rebate absolute rip off

Hello Kim, as discussed over the phone your repayment for the work we completed on your behalf has not been released to us, as unbeknown to us, you had previously signed an agreement with a 3rd party company and this legal authority supersedes our agent agreement. We have acted in good faith and should rightly be paid for the work we completed for you. We therefore issued an invoice but we have already suspended any follow up as we understand your situation. We believe that your claim payment should not be released to the third party (despite the previous agreement) and we want to be able to assist you with this matter. As per our communications, we do need you to get into contact with us and we will be able to help with this matter further.

Hello Cindy, we're very disappointed to read this review as our fees were explained very clearly to you at the start of the claim process.
Our fees of 40% are explained in our Terms of Service which when you submitted your application on our website on May 1st 2021, you were confirmed you were in agreement with. We then also verbally disclosed these over the phone with you on 29th July 2021, to which you confirmed you were happy to proceed. If you were unhappy with the fees we charged this should have been expressed then.
We work on a contingency fee basis (a fee based on a percentage of gross refund recovered) rather than a fixed cost, as we believe it’s incredibly important to allow as many Care Workers as possible to access the services of a professional accounting firm to handle their tax affairs. This is a comprehensive process which involves gathering data from a number of sources and subjecting the information to a series of rigorous checks to ensure complete accuracy in your final claim submission. This involves a significant amount of work, so we do feel our fees are competitive and fair.
The staff at the office
The staff at the office, were all very polite and explained everything I needed to know. Nothing was too much trouble. I was contacted as I had looked into the rebate through facebook.I recieved a payment and I was very grateful for the time put in by the staff
