I feel a fool but the way the scam works is to make you completely unaware that you have entered a contract with them. I too was cancelling my Sky TV subscription and thought I was dealing with Sky. When I contacted them they would not give details of when I entered a contract with them or how they accessed my credit card.BEWARE.

It’s a scam!! Don’t trust them at all.
I received a letter from
Virgin Media informing me the prices are going up so I have the option of cancelling my contract. I went to the website listed on letter and it gave an option to cancel online. So I clicked on the link and it took me to cancelcontract.uk. I made a small payment and though that was it. But then 5 days letter they took another payment out??? I contacted Virgin Media and they haven’t heard of this company and said it’s nothing to do with them!!! I spend around 3 hours on the phone trying to sort this out but my bank have told me to wait for 14 days before reporting it as dispute! Never thought id get scammed, I’m absolutely furious to say the least.
I would give this company 0 star if I could

Tip to find currency values within T&C's pages
Hi all. I was looking at using this but checked here first. I'm sorry to see all the people who were hit with the subscription charge.
Here's what I do to quickly check T&C's:
Go to the T&C's page
Hold down the Ctrl key on you keyboard and press the F key once.
This triggers the Find box within Google.
Enter a £ symbol into the box.
All of the £ symbols on the web page are highlighted.
There were 3 on this site.
One of them was next to the Subcription notification.
I probably won't work 100% of the time but it may be a useful starting point.

Scam discusting..
Scam. Took l.49 from my account followed by 24.90 2 days later.virgin told me we don't cancel with anyone but the customer for cancelling your account with us. bank cancelled my card and issued me with another to stop payments
Dont use this company.....SCAM.

contacted my bank immediately and stopped all payments to them from going out.
Contacted these people on their number 03 308 084 886 and actually got through. Informed them of what i had done and told them as no money had yet left my account i could not involve the police but if at any time my account is accessed by them they can expect a call although i expect the police will be reluctant to travel to eastern europe

A depressing lesson in the ways of today’s world
I am the latest to be scammed by this company. My son googled cancel my Vodafone contract. Up popped the Vodafone logo and a link to this dishonest company. Extremely misleading and preys on the inexperienced. Lo and behold £1.50 and a further £25 were robbed from my account by these charlatans. Took me some detective work to find out what had happened and cancel my ‘contract’ with them. Google collude in this practice by taking advertising from dishonest companies. I have complained to them. Perhaps if more folk do then we can get the advert removed. If you were on a low income this would be a serious sum to lose. A depressing lesson in the ways of today’s world.

I'd give zero if I could
I'd give zero if I could. Wish that I had read all the comments here before I contacted them. I was moving house at the time and was contacting so many companies that I didn't pay attention as I normally would. No excuse but I'm not alone. Contact them and call your bank.

Disappointing
Hey there, yeah so that happened to me as well. Cancelled Virgin Media, been charged for £1.39. It was a month ago, today I got a bank notification of a £25 charge for subscribtion. They hiding the terms and conditions really well. And of course there are no refunds.
Update a year later:
They tried to contact me, which is really kind honestly but I won't change the rating given simply because of the fact they charge you to cancel a Virgin Media contract (which is a fine fee once to be fair) and if you don't read the full (from top to bottom) terms and conditions you'll be clueless like myself about the subscription.
At this point I'd give 1 star to Virgin Media too but as I don't use them and never will for sure (if they work with a sneaky company like cancelcontract I can imagine their marketing preferences) my review wouldn't be authentic.

Absolute Scam
Absolute Scam! Avoid by all means. They charge you and then they don't send your cancellation request to the company. Then they start charging you around 25 pounds a month for nothing!

Absolutely disgusting scam
Absolutely disgusting scam. They trick you into thinking you’re cancelling something, in my case, a Sky Subscription. THEY CANCEL NOTHING. They enter you into a direct debit of £24.99 a month for “a template”. I phoned them, I recommend everyone to do the same. 0330 808 4886

AVOID
AVOID! I went to cancel my contract with BT and I was asked to pay £1.49 genuinely thinking this was what I owed on my account so like a fool I paid it. I then received an email from CancelContract which threw me, after a quick google I was sent here and realised I need to act fast so I rang my bank who cancelled my debit card so they can’t take any more money out. Obviously a Scam.
