I have used Caddon’s services a number of times, and been very happy. I felt compelled to write a positive review, as one part of a consignment was damaged when it arrived. A replacement was dispatched to me post haste. Good service.

Caddon Hives accidentally sent the wrong bee food but after a telephone call explaining I was dealt with by the owner extremely courteously and with apologies. The following day the courier collected the returns item and two days later the correct bee food was delivered and I followed it up with an email thanking Caddon very much. I have always rated Caddons very highly for their service, swift delivery and quality bee equipment and wouldn't deal anywhere else.

I've purchased quite a few items from Caddon Hives. Everything has been great quality. Peter is extremely helpful and has offered an inexperienced bee keeper valuable advice. He has also gone above and beyond with a little mix up on one of the orders. I can highly recommend Caddon Hives.

I have built 3 Caddon hives and have found their product to be well made. The instructions are good, but time should be taken before assembly to match the numbered parts to the instruction’s lettering system of part identification. This makes assembly almost foolproof.
Because the wood used is Western Red Cedar, these are light, functional and beautiful looking hives.
To add to the cedar wood’s longevity, we used linseed oil to moisturise and protect the wood and this brought out the beauty of the wood grain too. (Careful of cedar’s splintery nature)
In one hive, a part was badly split along the grain (maybe happened in transit or from drying out) but this was replaced, free of charge, within two days.
For quality, service and price, I do not think one can beat Caddon hives and they are a family-run business from Britain.

Excellent service, orders arrive quickly and the quality of the hives is great. My ‘go to’ place for my hives and frames.

I ordered 2 Langstroth hives which arrived well packed and delivered within a week. On Opening the box i was surprised at the quality of the timber which is substantially better that any of my Thornes or Maismore hives that I have. The joints went together well and I cannot be more pleased with the hive, considering the the price I fail to see how these hives can be beaten. Highly recommended and any future hives will only come from here.

Rubbish service. Can't fulfill order in a timely way. Every time I phone given another day when the order will be dispatched. Not only that put the phone down. Poor customer service. If you take orders fulfill or don't take money

I recently purchased two national hives and some extra equipment. The quality of the red cedar is good and assembling is very easy.
I did have a minor issue with my order but having notified Caddon this was rectified within 24 hours and delivered. Excellent service and communication. Will buy from Caddons again.

Great service and really nice looking hives. I put one of them together today and it’s quite lovely. Very similar cedar hives to other retailers but much, much better value for money.

My first hive and it's absolutely beautiful. I paid for it to be assembled and it looks perfect. Great quality wood. Packaged well for delivery and arrived promptly. I will be buying from Caddon again.

Ordered my first hive (with some additional parts) - arrived by tracked courier and in perfect condition. I always received very quick replies to any questions asked and it's a pleasure to deal with a company that actually answers my Newbee questions. I was instantly impressed with the quality of the wood, the instructions are very easy to follow, so now looking forward to the next step in my new hobby! I would definitely recommend.
