Pete at Caddon Hives provides excellent customer service with prompt and helpful responses to all communications. The quality of Caddon hives is excellent. I purchased a BS National Western Cedar hive with a gabled roof and it is beautifully made with quality touches like metal rails in the brood and super boxes. Delivery was very quick and value for money is unbeatable. Overall excellent experience in every way. Thank you. I will be a returning customer.

Caddon Hives are a great beekeeping supplies company. I have used their equipment for several years and all hive parts are very well made, great to use and long-lasting. Have used roofs, floors, wire queen excluders and other parts. Great prices and good company to order from - extremely helpful and efficient. Will order again

Caddon Hives (Pete) provided guidance on what I needed to buy and ensured the beehive was built and delivered in time for my friend's birthday. I am starting beekeeping again after a while. I am re-furbishing my hives and requested its from Caddon Hives. The delivery was swift and the quality of the wood and "fit" is excellent. I downloaded the instructions and everything worked fine with a porch completed just under two hours from delivery. I like the ethos of this small, independent company and will buy from them again.

I apologise to Caddon Hives for this review. Quality of wood is great and the hive would have looked fantastic but the instructions were exceptionally confusing and difficult to follow and we’ve been left with a disaster. The instructions are not a foolproof guide and If you hate flat pack this is your worst nightmare. 4 hours of frustrated swearing and checking has resulted in a wrongly built, glued (guerrilla glue too 😫) and nailed hive that looks great but when ready for bees we have realised we havnt put the bottom rails correct 🙄 and it’s now looks like it’s only good for the bonfire by the looks of it . No enjoyment whatsoever building this and Advice is buy ready built as it’s not worth the stress and risk of a very expensive mistake.

I received a nuc with a damaged roof, most probably in transit. A replacement was sent immediately. All the hives I have bought from Caddon have been very good quality.
