Impossible to cancel.

Impossible to cancel.
Even after asking repeatedly and giving them the insane detail that they need to process the cancelation request, they were slow and difficult at every step.

I have two cards, one that my daughter uses.
Cause of unnecessary awkward checkout scenes

I’ve had enough of this

Not worth the hassle of wondering if it will work today or not!!

Poor customer experience

I had a transaction cancelled by the retailer for online shopping, but the pending payment took nearly 3 weeks to clear and put the funds back as available. I tried to contact twice through the contact area, but did not receive a reply on either occasion.
With is a shame because the loyalty side of it looks good.

This is the second time I am writing a…

This is the second time I am writing a review and nothing has changed from the first time round. After chasing for months to have the card closed down due to poor service, declined in different retailers yet having money withdrawn from the card, and having to pay for the purchase again, they came back and said I had to pay £20 fee to have the card closed down due.
I just had it declined at Waitrose and all I am trying to do is spend the money and never use it again. As for the reward, I shopped at Asda over a week ago, and no reward has been transferred over.
I honestly haven’t experienced such a bad customer experience.

Worst customer service ever

Not being informed the card was expired. Have to call BYond and find out need be invited again. Have to pay for order a new card. Over 3 weeks after ordered the new card still not receive the card. Called customer service and been told need to ask local post office. What a joke. I haven’t received any post confirmation how to check with post office? Order a new card, received with in a week but can’t activate it. Until now, I still haven’t got the card which can be activated……

There are a lot of barriers to using the card

There are a lot of barriers to using the card! I have to top it up all the time and the app doesn't remember the security code. Also not being useable with apple pay means that half the time I don't have the card with me. Add to that that I have to pre-load it means I don't use it half as often as I could

Our bYond card is a cashback card does it does require to be topped up as it is not linked to a bank account. The security feature is there to protect your account and funds from any potential fraud.

I'm loving the bYond card

I'm loving the bYond card, I load up £50 a month to be used for something I want rather than need.
So far I've used it in Boots, Dobbies and M&S each time I've roughtly roughtly £2 back in cash back.
I'm loving being rewarded extra money.

Good but more retailers need to be available

Very good overall if you are shopping at retailers listed with Byond however, my niggle is with my partner card. Why can't a partner account have access to top-up the card ? More retailers also need to be added to make this a great service and with the above are the reason I do not give 5 stars.

I like the card

I like the card. I've used it a few times when getting my usual food shops and have already got some cashback already in the vault but I need to wait a few weeks until I can take it out. I would like if more retailers were available. Also it would be handy if could be added so can pay using phone.

Good offering

I like the card, however I’ve was unable to use in Holland and Barrett as kept declining even though there was more than enough on the card and PIN accepted. My main gripe is the inability to add to a payment wallet which in this day and age most companies offer.

Every store does have a unique number referred to as the Merchant ID. Unfortunately, if we do not have this number provided to us by the retailer, our bYond card will not work as the retailer will come up on the system as unrecognised.

We will always do our best to make sure our systems are up to date, however it is the responsibility of the retailer to let us know their ID numbers.

If we do locate a retailer/store who we partner with where we are missing ID numbers, we do then speak directly with our partner to add these to our records. Very sorry for the inconvenience.
