Absolutely deplorable customer service…

Absolutely deplorable customer service experience... They want you to submit the information for a quote guaranteeing to make sure they have the lowest price. Then when you send them a direct link to Home Depot's live website with accurate pricing, they tell you that's not acceptable and they need a formal quote (because that's how Home Depot works right?) then give you sarcasm and the run around to then say that they can't compete with the big box retailers, but they offer "so much more..." as in what? deplorable service? sarcasm? failure to respond timely? Take your business elsewhere!

So far all talk, no box, no confirmation -after 13 days.

Their website makes it sound like they’ll ship in 2 to 3 business days. Special orders may take 5 to 7. It’s been 13 days, nothing but a credit card charge. I’ve had no confirmation code. Customer service responds, however nothing but talk. I still have no idea when my mailbox will come. My box was damaged by a truck , so there’s nothing there.

LO PEOR DE LOS TRANSPORTISTA

ENTREGÉ UNA SERIE DE MIS OBRAS EL 28/05/25 EN LA OFICINA DE MARBELLA CON LA SOLICITUD ESPECÍFICA DE ENTREGARLAS EN IBIZA A MÁS TARDAR EL DÍA 11. ESTO SE DEBE A QUE HABÍA ORGANIZADO UNA EXPOSICION E INAUGURACION EN ESTE LUGAR DE IBIZA, PERO HE TENIDO QUE CANCELAR EL EVENTO PORQUE AÚN NO LAS HABÍAN ENTREGADO. Y NI SIQUIERA DESPUÉS DE MÁS DE 25 LLAMADAS Y 3 DÍAS, SIGO SIN SABER DÓNDE ESTÁN MIS CUADROS. ¡NUNCA HABÍA VISTO TANTA INCOMPETENCIA E INDICRACIÓN EN 50 AÑOS! LES ACONSEJO QUE NO UTILICEN ESTE TRASPORTISTA EN NINGÚN MOMENTO.

Very Poor Product Support

I purchased a mailbox from Budget Mailboxes in February 2023. The mailbox arrived as expected and in perfect condition. After 16 months of use the magnet that holds the mailbox door closed shattered from repeated closures by the mail person. I reached out to customer service requesting replacement magnets and they quickly responded. However, the response was that they did not provide replacement magnets. This is totally unacceptable for a 16 month old mailbox that cost me $314. Their customer support was very good, but their product support is absolutely horrible. How can you charge that amount for a mailbox and not have totally product support? I now I have a $314 mailbox that is dysfunctional and I have to try to find a magnet to fix. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!

It is a very well-made mailbox

It is a very well-made mailbox. I like the magnet closer.
When we opened it out of the box, I was surprised by how large the box is and was concerned it would look too big. That wasn't the case at all and it looks beautiful.

Missing hardware- beautiful mailbox

Love the look and quality of this mailbox. The mounting hardware for the address plaques were not in a sealed bag and some of the hardware was loose in the shipping box and some was missing. Missing hardware made assembly difficult.

Jumping through the refund approval hoops

Ordered and received product in July. It turned out, we didn't need it. We have never opened it. It's now September and we are still going through the extremely extensive process of trying to get a less than $15 refund for the unused product. It's as if the seller creates an intentional obstacle to avoid providing a refund to the customer. This type of customer service is almost unheard of in 2023. Company owners and management should "wake up" as this type of customer service and requiring customers to go through a refund approval process is not sustainable for a successful, forward-thinking company. I can only suspect that it's either a family business that was passed on to another generation of people with no business training or given the fact that they have a relatively captive customer base as they sell hard to find products, they are able to employ these types of business practices and remain in business. I'm not upset as it's not much money but I do feel compelled to give feedback to whoever reads these reviews at the company - you can do better. Pick up ANY business magazine or book at any airport bookstore and you will see how to do it right (or simply look at how any other business operates).

On a positive note, the guy on the phone was pleasant.

Quality

This mailbox is really good quality and made very solidly. It’s heavy and you can feel that it’ll hold up in the elements.
Good choices of colors and ordering is a breeze.

Everything was good except there was a mixup with delivery. I ordered a lift gate which the Fed Ex driver did NOT receive as we are a small retirement community without access to any type of equipment. We were able to use the manual one on the truck to delivery the 400lb shipment
