I might have been a little bit too exuberant and hopeful in my first review of BMB. - Well, the belts are basic and good at 3 out of 5 stars. Not a leatherworker’s craft of sewing or stitching work present, but rivets, thus an anyone-can-do, basics job like cut-a-bit and attach a buckle. The company requires delivery times of biblical proportions. Any bespoke requests are ignored from the word go, whether email or telephone, in fact their intra-site doesn’t allow for the advertised bespoke bit. A promised return phone-call never transpired and an actual email confirming the bespoke part of the order then completely ignored the bespoke-part of the order as evidenced on delivery. ORDER if you want a good, basic leather belt with non of the leather-craft’s bells and whistles, but remember also that a belt like this can be picked up for a fiver-and-a-bit in your weekend street market frequently from places where the craft is still lovingly adhered to without rivets like India, Portugal, etc. DO NOT ORDER if you want a saddlery-quality, traditional high-end traditional English leather belt with bits and pieces of bespoke added to it (4 to 5 times the price anyway), and if you do not like being lied to. BMB will simply just ignore you.

Zero communication, before or after purchase. Not willing to engage in any discussion relating to modification or possible refund, in fact there are no refunds.
I understand the belts are made to measure but what they don't tell you is the sizing is fairly vague and the actual belt leather is minimum length, with little over-hang. I returned my belt in the end and after a week received a blunt email stating that they don't refund.

So they have my belt and my money.

So I gave them a second chance, everyone improves right? WRONG!!!!! I ordered 2 buckles. I didn't turn up and the other arrived damaged. I've called and got no answer. I've emailed and been ignored. So, yet again, they have my money and I have nothing!!!
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Terrible company with zero customer service!!!!

I bought a belt from this site measuring EXACTLY as they specified against an existing belt "to the usual hole". When it arrived it was four inches too short.
I emailed them that day but got no response so after a week I have just phoned them to be palmed off with a refusal to refund or replace "because that it their terms and conditions"
So unfit for purpose is my problem? Most uncooperative and unhelpful company best avoided. Taking this further...

Positives:
• I rang up for advice and the lovely man I spoke to was so helpful and very good.
• Quality of belt is lovely and exactly what I wanted for my partner.

Negatives:
• Website says a few days to process order and I paid for signed delivery. I ordered belt two weeks before I needed it…it took four weeks to arrive!!!
• I messaged them to see where it was and I got a reply says after and there was no apology or anything.

I do understand at this time things are taking longer but website doesn’t not say four week to be delivered!

If I’d of know I would of used a different company.

But as stated above guy was lovely and helpful and belt is exactly what I wanted, just a shame it missed my partners birthday by two weeks.

Would use company again but I’d be more aware of delivery issues!

1 star only because I can't put no stars. Never respond to emails. Ordered 3 belts for a wedding . When I had no communication for over a week despite my chases . I emailed to cancel . At that point I got an email asking when the wedding was. I explained I ordered belts elsewhere and wanted a refund I got no response.

I have now been refunded , but took me finding the number and calling them

Where to begin and how to be fair and reasonable?
Between the negative appraisals on Trustpilot and this company’s abysmal customer services and total lack of communication, I had genuinely thought and had accepted, that I had been scammed of nearly 50 quid including postage.
However, with great surprise my belt arrived this morning. The belt and buckle is of good quality. I can only assume that this business has good intentions to provide a quality product but struggles with admin and supply.
3 Stars for good quality belt. I hope that they get help with the admin and customer services.

Buckle My Belt produce really nice good quality belts , so why am I giving them a one star review?

Because it is virtually impossible to actually get your purchase from them - they are happy to take your money and then nothing.

I waited 2 months, with the only messages they responded to were threats through PayPal who eventually gave me a full refund.

What a shame.

I ordered a belt but after 5 weeks and sending emails that were never answered it never arrived, luckily I paid with PayPal and they gave me a full refund.Today I received a message from Buckle my belt to ask me if I would give them a review of their excellent service you couldn't make it up

I bought a belt from this company, and after waiting weeks, it arrived. The belt was a cheap thin leather belt and had a totally cheap nasty zinc buckle. The belt had ridges and was not finished properly and I emailed the company twice. I never received a reply, and decided now into the end of July to call. I spoke to a man who said the leather was within their guidelines, and that was that. I said I would like a refund, and he gave me his excuses that it was worn etc.... A cheap nasty belt not worth £5. Appalling customer service and he has my money and my belt. A conman and cheap company.

3 weeks since order. 5 emails (no reply). 1 phone call to which Jason did answer but blamed it on COVID-19 etc.
Still no belt and have a feeling I’ll just end up writing it off. So, to summarise…Jason has £24 of my money and I’ve received zero.
Not impressed and I’ve been ripped off.
AVOID!

Where is it. Nearly 3 weeks. no emails. called told on its way. surprise surprise nothing.

I was Looking for a top quality belt in cream with brass. I found it! Handmade to order too! You need to carefully read the instructions to measure and get it right and after discovering I hadn’t I e mailed the company who immediately replied that they had forwarded the new measurement on. It has taken a while, but we are still in a pandemic. I am overjoyed with my belt. The quality is outstanding

These guys are borderline scammer while just staying within the law. No sign of belt no reply to my requests for update, having to claim on credit card, how loud can I say AVOID.

After purchasing the belt I was then swamped with internet advertising from Buckle my Belt offering virtually the same belt at £7 cheaper. The belt took over 2 weeks to arrive which was outside the vague delivery period at time of purchase. My emails chasing were not effectively responded to. Very poor. Use another company

Definitely add a few inches onto your measurements, but incredible belt! Lovely quality and really nice buckle! Slow wait time for delivery, but that can’t be helped in these times!

Poor quality hide. Matt finish. Not the shiny polished leather that I expected. Only just fits. I use the last hole. I can't recommend this company and would say "GO ELSEWHERE". Despite the great website, the product is very disappointing.

DONT BUY OR BOTHER LOOKING... I ordered a belt from this shower and paid a premium for postage and 3 weeks later nothing. I emailed them five times with no reply. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I was lucky enough to have paid through PayPal so I will get a full refund. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED...

Sadly my experience is similar to many. Belt has not arrived and now emails are being ignored. I suggest contacting Action Fraud and Essex Trading Standards. His name is Jason Clowrey. He claims to be CEO of Buckle My Belt, but there is no such company registered at Companies House. Avoid.

Wish I had read the reviews before ordering because I’ve had the same issue as everyone else. The belt is way too small, we called to explain the mistake as they wouldn’t respond to emails (very rude on the phone btw). Eventually we returned the belt as we remeasured it with them on the phone. I’ve just received the same belt in the post with a letter saying that they measured the belt in the warehouse and our tape measure is wrong?? If it was 1 or 2 inches short I’d let it slide but 6 inches!! I’m confused and disappointed.
