Very poor pre-trip communication. Trip to gardens went ahead without amendment, despite Exceptional Weather Alert [Red ] and advice not to travel into the area unless essential. Absolutely no proactive contact from Brightwater when Red Alert issued. When I contacted them, not permitted to discuss this decision directly with decision-maker. Very poor customer service and lack of responsibility exposing elderly people to extreme weather. Dismissive and patronising.

A poor choice of hotel for our gardening club group. Pleasant hotel staff, but evening meals of a very poor standard.

Great guide, very good single hotel room with no extra cost. Very nice food, pool. Very competent driver.

The Gardens of East & West Sussex were excellent and all credit to Brightwater for organising this.

Good pre-trip communication. Lovely coach. Smartly dressed and capable bus driver. Very pleasant, well-organised and helpful guide. Well chosen and well run hotel. Nice room and well serviced. Food on offer good. My strict gluten-free diet was well catered for. Gardens and houses visited were varied, interesting and enjoyable. 🌟

The Guide and the Driver were very helpful and obliging. The Gardens visited were interesting and colourful.

Hotel very comfortable and food good. Staff very pleasant. For me a Ground Floor Room added to the enjoyment of the holiday.

It would have been helpful if the itinerary and joining times had been received sooner. Less than a week is not sufficient.

We have always enjoyed our holidays with you- until this year! I had specifically asked for adjacent rooms and it’s never failed in 10 years- on different floors this year! The standard of food in the evenings was dreadful-no one was happy. Thank you for letting our wonderful leader take us all out on the final evening 😊
However the standard of garden/house visits was exceptional, especially loved Levens Hall so thank you for that. Excellent coach driver and lovely coach.

Highland Safari.-- Pre holiday experience was pathetic. Information arrived far too late. Tour coach air conditioning was faulty. Audio was faulty. Hopeless. Tour content was satisfactory.

I was very disappointed with this holiday . I have had
good tours in the past. The tour of the Outer Hebrides last year was excellent However the hotel this year was extremely poor The food was uneatable on the first night and there was no choice. The breakfast was meagre and inferior quality and the facilities generally were well below the standard
Expected . I paid nearly £900 for the tour and have been some sort of apology or refund. In the circumstances I am unlikely to book with you again if this is the quality of accommodation you now offer.

The choice of hotel was incompetent. A truly dreadful experience.

It was very disappointing. On a safari you expect to see some animals and we saw NONE. Even in the zoo they’d been moved.
The food at the hotel was dreadful, nothing suitable for the weather, all deep fried and the same menu very night. Breakfast was also disappointing cold fried food that sat out for hours. The people on my tour were well traveled and deserve better accommodation than what was provided. Also everybody had been on Brightwater holidays before and loved them but said this particular tour was a huge disappointment.
The coach driver was excellent and the only
bright spot.

Both Harry and Sarah were very helpful. I was concerned that, having had both hips replaced, I cannot walk very fast and I was concerned that the tour required a lot of walking. They reassured me that I could always have a coffee in a nearby cafe if I were unable to keep up. Similarly, when we had 'free time' to go around on our own I could simply sit somewhere. Harry also advised me on the rail services from London to Penzance and how I could arrive in time to complete the journey to Lands End Airport in a single day. He also offered to book the rail services for me should I need this.

Very easy to navigate the web sight also traveled before with your co I have I have visited many countries over the years when you get older the short breaks are right up my street love the pick up point and drop off points in my home town regards Alex

Hotel fine and food a good standard.

I called to ask about booking a garden tour just 5 weeks before it started and it looked like I wouldn't get on it because it was fully booked. However, the lady (Nicola?) said she'd check if there was any more accommodation available. The next day she called to say that there was and I could go on the trip. I then had to change the pick-up point I had originally asked for and again it was all easily arranged. That's what I call customer service!
