Messages were answered quite quickly, including correction of a significant pricing error. There were disappointing errors on the website itinerary. A telephone conversation was handled well.

Call answered relatively quickly by a friendly and helpful agent. He was able to answer all my questions and provide details when asked. The process was straightforward and simple. I received my booking paperwork/confirmation by email the same day. Great service so far.

The staff was extremely helpful in providing thorough, thoughtful answers to my many questions regarding all aspects of the trip. This made the travel decision and booking process very easy. I'm looking forward to traveling with such a knowledgeable tour guide.

This was a great tour, but it was rather rushed. I needed a lot more time particularly at Osborne and the fossil beach, but would have liked more at several locations.
Why did we have to leave the island so early? Could we have dome something then and perhaps something on the arrival day.

Having holidayed many times with Andante I was checking if there were single places left on the holiday I wanted. I know they can go early.

That was the case so I booked later that day.

I dealt with a very helpful Andante representative when booking over the phone. I particularly appreciated their willingness to extend a promotional discount on a provisional booking by 72 hours whilst I confirmed my availability for a holiday in 8 months time.

I really enjoy and benefit from all the Andante tours I’ve been on.
The really wonderful thing about Andante is its exceptional staff - they are knowledgeable, interesting and friendly.

Secondly, Andante holidays go to so many interesting, varied and sometimes out-of-the-way places and often include special sites where we are the sole visitors.

Thirdly, and very important too, I think, the groups are not too large. It is then easier for us all to get to know each other and to stay together on visits to ask questions and discuss what we’re looking at. (It’s also then possible for us to visit small and interesting places to eat!)
I have been on similar ‘cultural’ holidays with other companies, which are well run, visiting interesting places and are well-led, but I will not go again as the groups were just too large.

Rock Art and Human Origins. 11th to 20th May 2026
Paul Bahn’s detailed knowledge of the People, Places and Things/Art visited made this a highly memorable trip. The final visit to Bedeilhac was very special.
The trip itself was good, but I would highlight a couple of points. Firstly the coach rides all seemed rather longer than expected.
Secondly, this may be an age thing, we found that being offered two x four course meals per day was both excessive and time consuming. I know this is traditional in this area but we certainly find that coffee and a light snack suffices for lunch.

Great trip with really interesting tours. Hotel was lovely. A good way to see the cultural highlights of the Isle of Wight.
