Excellent sanding equipment
Good price, staff gave good instructions on how to use the equipment and extra tips. Equipment functioned well. Didn't use all sanding paper & dust bags and was easy to get a refund when returning the equipment. Cable on edge sander is very short so an extension cable should be recommended as standard.

The scarifier delivered was an older…
The scarifier delivered was an older machine. The adjustment on it was almost impossible to alter. The machine was a push scarifer, unlike the self drive machine we had from the Canterbury branch, which was excellent.
Ashford did not collect the machine when they said they would. We kept having to lock it up each evening and put it out for collection during the day. Lots of calls backwards and forwards. When I said we couldn't adjust the machine as the blades were not set low enough, we couldn't use the machine. We were told we could have some money back but nothing further said. In future I will use the Canterbury branch. Better equipment and well managed customer service.

Equipment delivered and collected as promised
I hired two Genie lifts. They were dropped off exactly when they promised by a helpful guy who made sure I had everything I needed. After the job they picked them up as arranged. No fuss.

they went above and beyond to be helpful. They got me what I needed on time (although didn’t send me a notification when it arrived). But as a first time customer, I would definitely use them again.

Setting up trade account difficult
Setting up trade account difficult and website froze on phone. Helpline said I could hire on the phone but would require large deposit which was not needed if I ordered on line (even with the irony of the need to call the helpline). Helpline wouldn’t answer question about trade account or transfer me, so called another number and still none the wiser. I asked if trade discount and was told to speak to local branch.
