Nice Representatives but Bad Advice

This was my second year on Medicare and I reached out to Boomer Benefits for advice on my Part D drug plan. They ran all of my medications through their system and found a plan that reportedly covered all my meds. Based on their suggestion, I switched from United Healthcare (which did cover all of my meds in 2024) to Humana. However, after I filled my Dulera inhaler (that I had been stable on for 7+ years) through Humana in January, I was sent a letter from Humana that said they would not cover it going forward unless I could prove that I had tried other (cheaper) inhalers first. Since I have severe asthma, I was unwilling to risk my health by trying other inhalers. So I am now stuck paying $200/month (using a coupon) due to the poor advice given to me by Boomer Benefits. There is nothing I can do about it. The $200 will not even go toward my out-of-pocket expenses as it’s not covered through Humana. The representatives are nice, but untrained, non-medical people who don’t understand the ins and outs or fine prints of insurance plans.

They're awesome!

My husband used these folks based on a family recommendation. I didn't qualify for Medicare at the time but would in a year or so. I asked Boomers to remember me when my turn comes up. Lo and behold I got a phone call yesterday asking if I had time to sign up for Medicare. I qualify in 4 months. Amazing. Our agent is Colton and he's super nice and knowledgeable. And really cares about getting the best insurance for his clients. I'm so happy and grateful I don't need to try and sign up myself. Colton made everything so easy. They're awesome!

Wish I had known about Boomer Benefits…

Wish I had known about Boomer Benefits before I spent hours/days/weeks researching Medicare options. Insurance snags, questions & poor communication aren't my problem anymore. Lisa Contreras, my CS rep, is on it--she returns calls as promised, reports on claim status and follows up. Highly recommend.

Informative and Very Helpful

I had great service from a Boomer rep, Ashley Stout, on selecting the best Advantage Plan after Aetna indicated it would be discontinuing my current medical coverage. She was willing to consider all options (besides Advantage plans) and was thorough in her explanation of the plan she did recommend. The details she gave me were the deciding factor in my selecting that plan.

What a great experience using this…

What a great experience using this service. When I was initially eligible for Medicare, I used a local broker to select a supplement. It seemed as though I was debating his opinions rather than obtaining informed advice.
Tish P at Boomer benefits is a superb listener and parcels advice in a very knowledgeable and impartial way. She assisted with a new application for a Medicare supplement and through her assistance, it was approved. Thank you Tish for your sense of humor and kind assistance in securing a better supplement for me! You have my highest recommendation.

I wish I had known about them before i signed up for medicare as they have a great team to assist you with issues from insurance companies that you will run into. I spent 10 months clearing up one billing issue and would have loved to have Boomer’s help but I can’t get them to help me as I signed up directly with Mutual of Omaha and missed out on having a wonderful company like Boomer heloing me navigate Medicare issues which I have had several. It takes a team and I really wish Boomer would be on my team… sadly alone

Emily Morales was helpful and supportive

Emily Morales was helpful and informative. She showed patience and initiative as I was dealing with serious health issues this summer with my husband and still needing to sign up for proper coverage in a timely manner. She was diligent and never gave up on me and my schedule which ultimately resulted in a good plan for me. I am very grateful and appreciative for her support.

Great experience!

I called for assistance and got just that, within 24 hours a I received a return phone call from Amy Evan’s. She took care of everything, connected with who I needed and stayed on the call to assure my needs were taken care of.
I am overjoyed to have Boomer Benefits walk this journey with me!

Calvon Turner IS Boomer Benefits

I have had such a good experience with CALVON TURNER who followed up not once but three times! He didn’t give up. He contacted my insurer and managed to figure out a way for me to get dental coverage in another state while I am traveling. CALVON TURNER should be recognized and rewarded. This what i posted to Facebook-OMG...had the best call with Chad Honeycutt with Boomer Benefits today.
I am currently 68 & have a local advantage that I love because every doctor I see is in the same building along with x-rays, blood work, scans etc. After talking with Chad, right now I am in a good plan; come October he will call me to discuss supplemental plans where I can still use my current clinic & doctors. Thank you Boomer Benefits...I am so happy I made the call.
