Payment system issues
It's fine if you can get the payment system to work, but I can't. It times out, or says my payment authorisation has failed, when I have plenty in my account and it works everywhere else. It is so annoying! I don't get it.
Cineworld Ashton ice cream shop shockingly disappointing!
The stock control at the Ice cream corner at Cineworld Ashton under Lyne is ridiculous.
They don’t have cones and no mint ice cream.
The manager is not prepared to give a discount even though you would pay for the cone but they don’t have cones.
Customer Service, Website and App are the worst ever
On attempting to use the Cineworld App and Website as an Unlimited Customer, there is a consistent problem of details not being accepted. It is usually the password, even though I 100% know the password. You attempt to reset it and after following the process and getting confirming it has been changed, it then told me the opportunity to change has timed out and must be completed within 24 Hours , despite it only being less that 30 seconds when I attempt to sign in with the new confirmed password. When contacting the customer service the CS operator was very unhelpful or in fact really uninterested . They CANNOT transfer you to a supervisor they DO NOT record calls and REFUSE to give their names, so in reality they have no measure of the customer service offered.
The measure of a company is how they assist when things go wrong, and after 7 years of having an UNLIMITED card it is only now I realise how bad Cineworld Customer Service is.
I have CANCELLED the card, as there are actually much better cinemas to choose from and being a loyal customer for this Cinema Group has resulted in no level of service
AVOID their "unlimited" card if Customer Service is important to you.

Asked for a refund which was refused ask me to go home and call helpdesk, son was upset as it was his 16th birthday and really wanted to watch movie. Not surprised why people watch pirate copies online.
Red Rocket film not a comedy as described
After going to see a film called Red Rocket which was described as a comedy, which it was definitely not, also depressing and boring left the film early, e-mailed cine world asking for refund, was told that I should have made staff aware that I did not enjoy film and as long as I left before 20mins of start of film, something would have been done. So just so all of you know you have to make up your mind film is no good before 20 mins is up. REALLY and don’t forget to tell staff, just wondered what would have happened if I had done this.

Went to York cineworld as a treat won’t be rushing back. Very poorly organised and poor customer service.
Waited in queue(1) person in front of me at either till, (2 people serving). Waited 10 minutes just to get served for tickets as the person in front of me had already got tickets but had to go to main till as wanted an ice cream and no one serving on there. At least 4 members of staff stood around not doing alot. Another 2 members filling nachos up behind tills. When another person went to till to serve the people at the back of the queue jumped to front of this one. Overall very poor service so don’t know how they will cope on Saturday when all tickets are £3. We went at 3pm so was a quiet time overall but seemed more interested in taking photos of rugby players who were there instead of concentrating on customer service.

The online booking system times out…
The online booking system times out before taking payment every time. This has been going on for months now, what are their IT department doing? and who goes to an out of town cinema to buy tickets in person anymore? Enough people to keep their business afloat I guess. I've been a loyal customer for years and was so glad to see my local Cineworld reopen last year, but if I can't book tickets, what's the point? Looks like I'll have to find a new favourite cinema.
An absolute disgrace
An absolute disgrace, I spent two hours trying to book tickets. I converted some Tesco vouchers and tried to add two Cineworld vouchers. One voucher was added successfully but the site took so long to process the payment page, it timed out EVERY time. I am so cross with them. I wouldn't bother trying again if I hadn't got the vouchers to use. How are they still in business?!

Cineworld Chichester...unbelievably poor customer service! Went to buy the tickets and food it wasn't busy and three members if staff were not serving customers. The first was clearly uninterested and pretended not to see me so she didn't have to serve me. Two others were talking right in front of me one if who I think was a supervisor and both also ignored me. I had to ask for service and was told to hang a minute ...a goid few minutes later they still hadn't served me so I had to ask for a second time. This time they finally did serve me but in a sulky and unhelpful manner. I asked for ketchup and was told it was at one end of the counter and then asked for sugar and was told it was right at the other end if the counter..by this stage I thought we were going to miss the film until finally one member of staff was helpful and provided some sugar nearer. The guy who took the tickets also seemed extremely miserable. Ironically during the trailers they were advertising for staff to come and work at cineworld...I suggest they give these ones some training in customer service!

Was trying to book tickets, time expired thing! keeps popping up, as the online booking system is like a dinosaur. Attempted this about 5 times, luckily I kept checking my online banking, just incase Cineworld decided to charge me, and guess what!!! They did charge me, no confirmation email, no tickets, absolutely nanto!. So... I called customer service, not very much help at all, just said "you will get your money back in 3 to 5 working days", she then continued to advice me keep up my attempts at booking online, Yeah right! Erm... Is that not the definition of insanity.
OK, Cineworld the concept of your business is in the name, customers buy tickets and get to watch a movie. Just incase youse were not aware of that. Get your stuff together Cineworld. Firstly sort out your online booking system, it ain't rocket science and secondly, get up to standards with your customer service..

Yesterday my Partner and I went to see " House of Gucci" at the7:50pm showing in Basildon.
We have been very careful al throughout the pandemic and followed every rule.
We decided that as the Cinemas were open that covid rules and regulations would be followed and we would be perfectly safe attending for a date night.
I anticipated it to be busy on the basis of booking there was only a few seats left.
However when we walked into the screening it was one of the smaller rooms, This would have not normally bothered me pre covid but the fact that it was rammed in a confined space was alarming.
We was sat at the back and I assumed that there would be a free space between every customer if they wasn't a part of your party.
This was not the case.
Every single seat was occupied.
I was sitting next to a lady on my right who was coughing and spluttering the whole time and my Partner was sat next to a man on his left who did not stop talking throughout.
I cannot fault the film but the experience was a absolute shambles which then ruined our whole night.
As a result of this my partner and I have both awoke feeling unwell.
If we now get covid due to Cineworld's incomitance we will not be happy considering how careful we have been this whole time.
I would like to hear back from you as soon as possible in regards to this matter.

Not great experience
Inadvertently booked wrong date over weekend. So charged booking fee which hasn't been refunded as I have been charged booking fee on second booking for moving by a day.
Additionally within the first booking I unticked SMS confirmation but still got charged for this I know this seems small but does account for 10% of cost which isn't refunded and was taken incorrectly.
You can see why steaming is becoming the preferred option without all the respective booking fees.
Best we go this route as we move forward!
An extremely bad experience with...
Cineworld Cinema Aldershot. I visited the cinema on Sunday the 5th of January, 2020 and the staff treated me and my father unfairly. The staff were without a care in the world that I was a wheelchair user and they argued with my father and didn't listen. We were seated away from each other and the whole experience ruined our evening!
