Truly exceptional. Significant attention to detail while giving you a very personalised customer service. Found them very pleasant and easy to work with and very friendly, approachable while giving all the best options (which weren’t necessarily the most expensive ones which I really appreciated and showed they hear what the customer wants and needs). They keep you informed through the entire 4-6 week process when your bespoke ring is made (prototype, how it looks so you’re always in the know before they proceed further). Heard about them through a referral from a friend and was not disappointed at all. You’re definitely not getting this level of attention from the bigger commercial houses.

Before embarking on the daunting journey of finding the perfect engagement ring, I didn’t know where to start and I was full of worry that I would not be able to find the perfect ring for my partner.

A few months on, my fiancée now has the ring she’s always wanted and I couldn’t have been made to feel more reassured and full of confidence, all thanks to the Blackacre team.

My first meeting with Sam & Laura beat all my expectations. They astonished me with their extensive knowledge, how much I felt they truly cared about creating the perfect ring, and how relaxed they made me feel.

I was swiftly provided with design options which fit the exact brief. There was such a high level of care that clearly went into the designs, everything that I wanted was being captured and visualised, which made choosing just one design very difficult!

One of my personal highlights has to be when I was given a brilliant education on diamonds by Laura, and when I left our second meeting, I felt like an expert myself.

My experience with Blackacre was first class from start to finish. The initial meeting I had with Sam and Laura put my mind very much at ease for what is such a significant life decision. Both Sam and Laura placed great emphasis on ensuring that I knew exactly what constituted a high quality diamond and therefore ultimately what I would go on to buy.

The design process was extremely smooth and, whilst I had a good idea on what design I was after, Sam set out a number of different design options building upon a central theme that we had discussed. The communication throughout the design stage was outstanding and I had a very clear picture on each step of the process, along with the overall timing to completion.

The finished product exceeded expectations and was (thankfully!) extremely well received by my fiancé.

I would throughly recommend the Blackacre team to anyone looking for a special piece of jewellery and am already looking forward to my next visit for the wedding bands!

I embarked into the jewellery world when decided to propose to my then-girlfriend. Visited so many jewellery stores and none made me feel they cared about what I was doing.
Blackacre was something else. From the get-go the approach was totally different. Laura and Sam welcomed me at their studio and walked me through the process with so much care and professionalism. They took the time to listen and interpret what I was looking for and used their expertise to push me beyond my boundaries.
The result was absolutely fantastic. Not only I had the chance to see the work in progress, but also the final ring was a bespoke beauty from out of this planet. It is not only me saying this, but also my now fiance and all her friends and family too.

Amazing bespoke service at blackacre. I went following glowing recommendations from others who had had a similarly great experience. The team are all lovely and provide an enjoyable interesting experience when you are buying the most important piece of jewellery you’ll ever buy. From the initial telephone consultation which helped to focus budgets and styles to the in person meeting where they give you a basic run down on diamond grading and how they make their jewellery, every part of the process was tailored to you. I got the perfect ring and had a stress free experience getting it from beginning to end. Cannot recommend enough!

I really cannot recommend Sam, Laura and the whole Blackacre team highly enough. My fiancé absolutely adores her ring, to an extent I actually didn’t think was humanly possible.

I think there are a couple of points worth emphasising: first, it is an amazing experience working with Blackacre to choose the stone, design the ring, and then see a beautiful piece of jewellery come to life over time. It is completely incomparable to walking into a shop (even a very nice shop!) and picking one off the counter. It is an experience I really recommend. Indeed, I cannot think of buying an engagement ring in any other way now.

Secondly, we brought in a family engagement ring that we wanted the design of our ring to reference. Sam did an incredible job of both honouring the original ring whilst creating a design that is both new and special.

Lastly, the ring itself is absolutely beautiful. The workmanship is clearly of an extremely high standard, and it really is one of the most beautiful pieces of jewellery we have seen. As the affordability of lab grown diamonds starts to make regular engagement rings look more and more like costume jewellery, I think Blackacre’s approach of focusing on the quality of the design, the provenance of the stone, and the rigour of the workmanship, is the most meaningful way to create an engagement ring that will stand the test of time.

We really are so grateful that we decided to create our ring with them. Recommended without reservation.

I also particularly enjoyed learning in detail about diamonds from Laura and Henrietta, who showed me various stones under a microscope and fluorescent light to bring a lot of the information to life.

I'm so glad that I discovered Blackacre and found the process of working with them to be faultless - searching for an engagement ring is daunting, but Sam, Henrietta and Laura took plenty of time to explain their process as well as what is important vs less important. Unlike other jewellers, who I found had the sole objective of depriving you of as much cash as possible, everything Blackacre did had my best interests at heart and helped me make objective, sensible decisions, even if it meant spending less.

I was kept up-to-date throughout the whole process, receiving regular updates and the ring was delivered ahead of schedule and looks fantastic!

I get obsessive, and research… a lot. So believe me when I say I explored many different options from Emma Clarkson Webb and Sophie Breitmeyer, to Cartier, Boodles, and Hirsh.

In the end I chose BlackAcre, and I’m glad I did.

I was looking for an engagement ring and stumbled across Blackacre online. I reached out to them following seeing some of their handiwork on their website and was blown away. Laura, Sam, and the team were fantastic at educating me on how they make their Jewry, and the processes they go through for selecting diamonds as well as what all the gradings mean.

We were recommended Blackacre by friends, and would be happy to recommend them too. We went through the journey of designing and manufacturing a hand made ring using recycled stones and metal. Sam and Laura created a wonderful engagement ring for us. Every piece they make is bespoke and designed with utmost passion for the stones.

When I first reached out to Blackacre, they were very swift to respond and agree an appointment in the shop for a few days after. During the first meeting, Sam provided background on the company and himself, highlighting that every piece of jewellery they create is custom made and really aims to create a unique setting for the gemstone. In this instance I knew that I wanted a sapphire gemstone but had no idea about different sizes, shapes, cuts, etc and the team explained in an easy way what’s available in the market and showed different samples incl. various side stones. Following the initial appointment, Laura created a few designs incorporating my feedback from the day.

A week after that initial appointment we met again to run through clearer thoughts and different samples in the shop. We had a frontrunner fairly quickly and Laura kindly shared pictures of the setting and a quote following the meeting. The Blackacre team had to be quite patient as I didn’t make the final decision until about 2 weeks after.

Once selected, the process to collecting the final piece is about 6 weeks, during which I had regular dialogue with Laura, who shared initial CAD pictures and progress pictures of the WIP ring.

What can I say, the ring was a massive success (though it needed resizing), which was done in a matter of days. Huge thanks to Laura and Sam as well as the team in the workshop! Overall it was a great experience and the team at Blackacre really made it easy for me. You can definitely see the difference compared to the larger High street jewellers in terms of customer experience and dedication for the job. We’ll definitely come back for the next bespoke piece of jewellery.

I spent the last few months designing an engagement ring for my fiancé with the team at Blackacre. I was referred to them by a friend on the promise that I would receive an unparalleled level of service and eye for innovative design - something that was important to me for the ideas I had in mind.

Despite the high bar set, Sam, Laura, and the team at Blackacre certainty exceeded expectations and on top, provided a fantastic level of care to guide me through the daunting process. I had read a lot of the testimonials online which had talked about the team's patience, expertise etc. and that was exactly what I experienced from Day 1. No question or design alteration was too much trouble, and there was never any sense of being rushed. Sam and Laura really listened to what I wanted to achieve and it genuinely felt like they wanted to get it right just as much as I did.

The end result was more than I could have hoped for - a really unique and personal ring, and best of all I thoroughly enjoyed the process, from choosing the stones to being involved in the creative design.
